Baršová, Monika ; Pavlun, Martin (referee) ; Toman, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to design a modern housing in a garden city according to contemporary standards and their potential overrun to the future. The garden city is a part of the recently designed area in southern Brno city centre based on a study made by the association Ivan Koleček – Pavel Jura, architects Lausanne-Brno. The final design consists of two apartment buildings joined with continuous park. It interconnects the functions of living and public amenity in a relationship of humans with the place and of the place itself with the new surrounding green area and public or semi-public spaces. Simultaneously, there is an effort to blur the perception of the inside and outside world and the strict separation of it.
