Comparative analyses of muscle activation lower extremities during running at different surface
Král, David ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Hojka, Vladimír (referee)
Title: Comparative analyses of muscle activation lower extremities during running at different surface. Objectives: The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to compare the level of activation of selected muscles of the lower extremities and the relative timing of these activations. Realize measurements on three types of surface: tartan, grass, sand and find out the differences in activations of selected muscles according to the surface. Methods: In this thesis, I used the method of analysis and the method of comparison. I applied the analysis method in the analysis of the measured signals for the running step and the comparison method in the section comparing average running step cycles from different surface types. Results: I found out that running on the tartan, acitvates all the monitored muscles in more than 75% of the average cycles within 10% of the running step time period. For softer surfaces - grass and sand, my research did not support the hypothesis, that the softer the surface is, the greater are the differences in the activation of individual muscles versus tartan. Further I found out that on sandy and grassy surfaces, the average activation time of the muscles which are more involved in stabilizing the ankle and foot, i.e. tibialis anterior and peroneus longus, increases. On a sandy...

Title: Running in the context of developmental kinesiology Objective: The objective of this diploma thesis was to describe the running gait in the context of human developmental ontogenesis. From information sources working with the topic of developmental kinesiology, a comprehensive text was prepared on the influence of establishing posture on the subsequent development of locomotion patterns of walking and running. Methods: The compilation method was used in this work. Relevant peer-reviewed articles were drawn upon to identify current information on running kinesiology for subsequent interdisciplinary comparison of approaches to the definition and description of the running stride cycle. Results: In the thesis, it was repeatedly emphasized that reaching the float phase in a running gait is a genetically conditioned in a person's life. The thesis that the central control of postural-locomotor function is already engaged in the first year of life thanks to genetically encoded programs. In parallel with how the musculoskeletal system strengthens during the first year of life with the aim of overcoming gravity and achieving bipedality, the strength of functional control at the level of the CNS. Key words: step cycle of running, running, locomotion, posture, kinesiology of running

Title: Creation of an adaptation course programme for the Medical Lyceum Aims: The aim of our work is to prepare an adaptation course program based on the literature search of the theoretical part and practical experience of instructors according to the specifics of the class. To get feedback from students on this program and evaluate its success. Methods: Based on the theoretical findings of the research we developed a programme of an adaptation course. The results of the course work and we evaluated the results by means of a questionnaire filled in by the students of the health lyceum (participants of the course). Results: The result is an adaptation course program that uses the knowledge gained and programs from the instructors' practice. The work can be used as a guide on how to create an adaptation course for the adolescent age group. We received mostly positive feedback on the program from student evaluations. Conclusions: According to the theoretical part, we prepared and subsequently implemented the adaptation course. Based on the evaluation of the sub-objectives regarding the pupils' CP on the programmes, we fulfilled them and concluded that we would modify or change two programmes of the implemented course completely. Gross, Adam ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Hruša, Filip (referee)
Title Surfing in the landlocked countries Objectives The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to explore from the perspective of people who permanently live in a landlocked country, whether it is possible to sufficiently train and prepare for surfing in oceanic conditions. Methods This project is an empirical-theoretical work in which a quantitative research method in the form of questioning was used. Data was obtained through an online survey that contained mostly closed questions, along with a few semi-closed and open questions. The total number of questions was 24. The survey was distributed through various social media platforms aiming at people with previous or current surfing experience who live permanently in a landlocked country. Data collection took place using the Google Forms application. Results The results of the thesis show following: From the respondents' point of view, the conditions for learning, training and preparing surfers in a landlocked country are not comparable to the conditions of a country that has an ocean and offers the opportunity to ride real surfing waves. Conclusion In conclusion, the results of the survey have addressed the research questions. Based on the answers received from the respondents, it is possible to say that some individual parts (components) of surfing...
Sponsors' perception of canoe slalom
Chaloupka, Václav ; Bačáková, Radka (advisor) ; Voráček, Josef (referee)
Title: Sponsors' perception of canoe slalom Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to find out how Czech companies approach sports sponsorship. Another aim is addressing the reasons why canoe slalom still lacks the adequate level of popularity among Czech society in comparison to other minority sports. Based on the data from our research, I will suggest a new marketing campaign for the Czech canoe union in order to support the increasing popularity of this sport. Methods: The main method used in this thesis was a quantitative method, specifically a survey across Czech companies. Data from our research will be analyzed and used in creating a new marketing strategy. Results: We have found out that companies prefer to sponsor mostly individuals followed by sports teams and clubs. Also, they mostly sponsor mass sports. Canoe slalom should build its promotion strategy upon the best individual athletes, who are already well-known to increase its popularity. Key words: Marketing, marketing strategy, popularity, campaign, canoeing

The interviews were conducted before the camp, just after the camp, and five months after the camp. An open coding method was used to analyze and evaluate respondent's statements. Results: The three and half days long Mindful camp outdoor course had a positive short-term impact on the conscious attention of all five respondents. Only two of the five respondents felt a long-term impact on mindful attention five months after the camp. The other two were unable to assess the impact, and one respondent dismissed it completely. However, the outdoor environment was rated by all five respondents as very helpful and supportive of the process for practicing mindfulness and developing conscious attention, despite the perceived higher demands of the outdoor environment compared to the indoor environment. Conclusion It was confirmed that Mindful camp had a positive short-term effect on conscious attention for all...

10 Abstract Title: Risks, experience and benefits of ski mountaineering Objectives: The aim of the study was to investigate feelings, risks and benefits during ski mountaineeering. Methods: In this study, we used a survey which is one of the questionnaire techniques. It is a quantitative research. Graphical representation was used to process the results. 337 respondents aged 18-72 years took part in this study. Results: We learned in the survey that for most ski mountaineers the greatest experience they get out of a hike is nature. Furthermore, most ski mountaineers don't know what green exercise means, 61% of ski mountaineers claim that the biggest subjective risk is not knowing the terrain, and the biggest objective risk are avalanches (66%). Almost all respondents agreed that the biggest benefit they perceived to be the improvement of their mood due to endorphin release. Conclusion: Thanks to the conducted survey, we have found out which benefits and risks skialpinists perceive as the most significant. According to our findings, the release of endorphins and the associated improvement in mood are among the greatest physiological benefits. Avalanche risks were identified by the respondents as the most feared objective risks, while lack of terrein knowledge was the most commonly selected subjective risk by...
