Application of separation methods for the determination of selected pharmaceuticals in waters
Burešová, Jitka ; Opatřilová, Radka (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
Antibiotics are widely used pharmaceuticals in human and veterinary medicine. These compounds are biologically active. They decrease efficiency of biological processes in wastewater treatment plants. Antibiotics are not eliminated from sewage water completely and they are discharged as contaminants into the receiving waters. Several methods exist for the determination of antibiotics in sewage water. In the first place liquid chromatography, gas chromatography and capillary electrophoresis are used. The aim of this thesis was to developed a suitable izolation technique and an optimal analytical method for identification and determination of penicillins in wastewater. For determination was selected amoxicillin, ampicillin and benzylpenicillin (penicillin G). These are very often used penicillins. An optimized method was used for determination of these penicilins in real samples from a wastewater treatment plant situated in Veterinary and pharmaceutical university in Brno and from the large-scale wastewater treatment plant in Brno-Modřice. Real samples were concentrated using SPE (solid phase extraction). For penicillins determination were used high performance liquid chromatography with diode array detection (HPLC/DAD).
The Use of Separation Methods for the Study of Selected Drugs and Pesticides in Water
Burešová, Jitka ; Hajšlová, Jana (referee) ; Chýlková, Jaromíra (referee) ; Kráčmar, Stanislav (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
This work is focused on the study of penetration of pesticides and pharmaceuticals in the aquatic environment. The aim was to develop and verify the optimal method for long-term monitoring of the occurrence of selected pesticides and pharmaceuticals in surface waters. Two frequently used analgesics ibuprofen and diclofenac, and carbamazepine that is used to treat epilepsy, were chosen from the group of drugs. A group of 41 pesticides were selected for monitoring too. The attention was focused on a group of urea pesticides and phenoxyacetic acids, as well as on selected pesticides falling to the group of priority substances or identified as environmental quality standards. Some of pesticides were selected because their consumption in the Czech Republic exceeds 30 tons a year. Liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry (LC / MS / MS) was used for the determination of selected analytes in surface waters. Two optimized analytical method were developed. Ten analytes were determined in negative ion mode and 34 analytes in positive ion mode. Solid phase extraction (SPE) was used for purification and concentration of the samples. Developed methodology was validated and used for monitoring of selected compounds in samples of surface waters from the Morava River basin. Samples were collected on the rivers Morava and Svratka monthly for two years. Samples from the river Blata and stream Nivnička were collected for one year. Surface water samples were also collected from the river Litava. Four samples were taken throughout the length of the flow during one day. Smaller streams were chosen for monitoring because of the probability of occurrence of pesticides. They flow abundantly agriculturally cultivated areas. Drugs ibuprofen and diclofenac were detected in all taken samples, carbamazepine mostly. Among the most commonly occurring pesticides were bentazon, diuron, isoproturon, carbendazim, MCPA, MCPP, propiconazole, tebuconazole and 2,4-D.
The use of art-therapy with the homelessness
BUREŠOVÁ, Jitka
This bachelor thesis describes the current phenomenon of homelessness in the context of the various factors that have had a major influence on its creation. In this thesis, homelessness is considered to be a socio-pathological phenomenon of modern society. The basic disambiguation of homelessness as described by authors in the Czech environment and the wider view of foreign experts, especially from Great Britain, is examined. Homelessness is described from the point of view of the somatic and mental illnesses associated with it with a focus on de-socialization and the resulting personality decline. In addition, individual social services that provide care for the homeless with regard of individual ability are mentioned. This work also focuses on an individual's ability to cope with stressful situations related to homelessness. This part describes an individual's ability to adapt, the main determinants that affect or eliminate irreversible social degradation, and the difference between active conscious strategies and unconscious defense mechanisms of the ego. The defense and adaptation mechanisms of a homeless person do not fulfill their essential role of integration and socialization but instead transform their character and needs to make it possible for them to survive on the street. The practical presents an art-therapy program with a group of homeless people that I conducted for six months. The goal of the practical is to describe the methodical progress of art-therapy intervention and the possibilities of its application. This part focuses on the changes in the visual arts with regard to the art shift in connection with the methodical instructions. The last part of the bachelor thesis illustrates the artistic expression of the homeless not only as a reflection of their life experiences, but also as an example of the uniqueness and originality of the use of art-therapy as an alternative form of communication to express human values and basic needs of homeless people.

The women of the bohemian politicians in the 19th century
BUREŠOVÁ, Jitka
The women of the bohemian politicians in the 19th century Annotation I have chosen ten women of the bohemian politics living in the 19th century. The first chapter has been about the reasons for choice of the life female partner. I have described the social, lingual and religious background of these women. I have tried to analyse their antenuptial correspondence. The second part of my work has attended to the use of women in the social life and it has focused on their involvement into the {\clqq}morning-room`` life. I have outlined the women incidence in the public asociation in the third chapter.I have been interested in any women activites mainly the philanthrophy. I have tried to find out if the husbands had encouraged thein wives in these acitivities. I have focused on the role of women in the family. I have observed how the husbands had been participated in the running the household and education of their children. I have studied the family correspondence. I have focused on the political aspect of the letters. I have tried to catch how much the women had been interested in the policy.
