Feminist Theology and its Reception in the Czech Context
BOHUSLAVOVÁ, Michala
The objective of this bachelor thesis is to describe characteristic features of feminist theology and present the most important themes of its study. First chapter focuses on historical evolution of feminist theology. This chapter acquaints the reader with key questions regarding the status of women in social and ecclesiastical life, which were actively discussed particularly in 19th and 20th century. Second chapter of this thesis contains a characteristic of fundamental principles of feminist theology. In this context, everyday human experience, open dialogue, and mutuality constitute the basis of all theological reflection. Presented are also examples of selected biblical texts which are by feminist theologians considered as problematic. In the end of my thesis I also deal with some of the feminist metaphors of God the Father.
