The Case Study of a Patient after Osteoporotic Vertebral Fractures

Title of bachelor's thesis: The Case Study of a Patient after Osteoporotic Vertebral Compression Fractures Summary: The thesis consists of two parts: a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part presents a brief description of the anatomic structure, the function, the kinesiology and the biomechanics of the spine. Furthermore it deals with the issue of the osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures and the surgical and conservative treatment as well as the contemporary methods of the physiotherapy. The practical part is a case study. It includes an anamnesis of a patient, an entrance kinesiology analysis. The aims and the methods of the physiotherapy were set on the basis of this analysis results. The bachelor's thesis provides a description of the course of the individual therapeutic units, an output kinesiology analysis, and a therapy efficiency evaluation. The aim of this bachelor's thesis is the case study of a 65 years old patient with osteoporotic vertebral compression fractures. The therapy efficiency evaluation shows the improvement of the patient's health condition. The pain reduction of the patient might be considered as a significant achievement.
