This bachelor’s thesis deals with the design of reversing tapping head. The thesis is divided into two parts. First part is devoted to an overview of technologies for the thread producing focusing to tapping and research in field of tapping heads. Second part contains design of reversing tapping head including the necessary calculations.

Designe of spindel for miling centre

The thesis deals with the design and construction of the spindle of the milling centre. The aim of the thesis is to design an indirect drive spindle with an output power of about 25 kW and a tool interface HSK 63. In the design part, first the selection of the drive method and spindle mounting is made. The selected structural design is then elaborated in detail using the necessary structural calculations supported by strength-deformation and modal FEM analysis. The output of this work is a 3D model of the spindle and drawings of the selected nodes.
