Protection of rights with respect to the elections to municipal councils

The main aim of this thesis is an introduction into the basic principles of electoral law and instruments of their protection, especially through the judicial power, in the local elections. The right to participate on public affairs is one of the fundamental attributes of the citizens of a democratic state. Its protection through independent and impartial courts is very important. The first chapter sets out rights relating to elections into municipal councils. The second chapter explains the stages of the electoral process, including examples of selected court decisions related to some institutes. The third chapter deals with the protection of public subjective rights in the election judiciary. The protection is provided to political rights of voters, political parties, candidates and elected members of representative bodies. There is a brief mention about the protection that has been previously provided by civilian courts. In accordance with the system of the Judicial Administrative Procedure Code I discuss four particular types of proceedings - proceedings in matters of electoral rolls, proceedings in matters of registration of candidates, proceedings in matters of invalidibity of elections and voting and proceedings concerning termination of the mandate. Kullervo as a Source of Inspiration for J. R. R. Tolkien

This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of the story of Kullervo in the Kalevala on the English writer John Ronald Reuel Tolkien and his work. Firstly, the background of the birth of the Kalevala and the role of Elias Lönnrot during its creation are briefly mentioned. Secondly, Tolkien and his relationship towards the Kalevala and the Finnish language are introduced. The main part of the thesis focuses on the story of Kullervo in the Kalevala, especially as a source of inspiration for Tolkien and two of his works. The first one is The Story of Kullervo: Tolkien's unfinished attempt to retell the story itself, the other one is his own story of Túrin Turambar called The Children of Húrin. Both of these Tolkien's works are compared to the Kalevala story of Kullervo. The main purpose of the thesis is to show that Tolkien's inspiration by the story of Kullervo was crucial for his work. Streamline production of sewing machine parts

The diploma thesis deals with the proposal of more effective production process of the feeder holder component in the company MINERVA BOSKOVICE, a.s. The first part of diploma thesis dedicated to the technologies which are used in the production of components. The second part deals with the analysis of the component and its current production process. The third part contains a proposal for a new production process, which contains a description of the machines used for production, a new jig, selected tools, mechanical calculations and technological method. The last part evaluates the current and newly proposed variant of production with their comparison.
Force loading of milling tools during the machining process

This thesis compares the force load of two kinds of cutting tool inserts while milling. The thesis is devided into two main parts – research and experiment. The research part is focused on the theory of the force load measuring, cutting tools and cutting tool inserts and their coating. 14 grooves were made with each cutting insert while the force load was measured. Constant cutting conditions were applied. The experiment was repeated four times for each kind of cutting insert. The aim of the thesis is to determine if both kinds of inserts mill with the same force load. The results reveal that one kind of cutting tool inserts mill with the force load higher up to 85 %.
Sewing machine part manufacturing process

The bachelor thesis focused on the production of a gear which is part of the sewing machine. In the first part is the gear wheel analyzed, including the description of his function. There is also a selection of the semi-product is described, including the calculation of the required amount of material. The following section describes the machines needed to manufacture the component, the tools which will be used during production and the technological process. In the next part is mentioned the system of spare parts in the company, the possibility of claiming or purchasing individual parts of sewing machines. The last part of the thesis is devoted to the technical and economic evaluation of the proposed production.
Interpretation of Finnish Oral Tradition in Contemporary Music

This bachelor thesis deals with the use of Finnish oral literature, specifically with oral poetry in contemporary song lyrics. Oral literature was spread orally; mostly in the form of songs and that is the reason why music is a suitable way how to revive this tradition even nowadays and how to present it to its new listeners. The thesis outlines the basic character of oral tradition, its popularity in Finland and character of folk music with its brief history. The thesis is further divided into three main chapters, namely epic, lyric and ritual poems. In each of the chapters there is explained the stated sphere of oral literature as interpreted by specialised publications. Characteristic features are backed up by samples of selected song lyrics. Bear in Finnish Folk Literature

ENGLISH SUMMARY This bachelor thesis deals with the theme of the bear in Finnish folk poetry and folk traditions. The first part of thesis introduces zoological characteristics of the bear, its occurrence in Finland and the etymology of different bear names in Finnish language. On the background of the overall cultural and historical development of Finnish society thesis presents people's relationship towards the bear in particular time periods. The focus of this thesis is to analyze myths dealing with birth of the bear and poems focusing on theme of the bear feasts. The key literature sources for this analysis are poems collected in Finland and Karelia, available in internet archives of Finnish literature society and collection of finnish folk poetry by Elias Lönnrot, The Kalevala. This bachelor thesis deals with the creation of overview of means for reducing induced drag on the wing of an airplane. It describes production of the induced drag and how it changes during a flight. The bachelor thesis also deals with geometrical modifications of the wing. The most extensive part is devoted to structural modifications of wing tips with special aiming on winglets.
