Welfare of women during pregnancy and maternity
Koktová, Alena ; Štangová, Věra (advisor) ; Vysokajová, Margerita (referee)
The thesis the Welfare of women during pregnancy and maternity deals with benefits which are connected with pregnancy, childbirth and maternity. The payment is based on more laws, especially act of on sickness insurance and act of state social support. I also didn't forget to mention some important international organisations, which affect in the area of social security and also the modification of security within European Union. I tried to treat my theme in different way, unlike it had been treated before. I proceed chronologically during description of individual benefits, this mean that I started with Compensatory benefit in pregnancy and maternity and I finished with parental allowance. This also corresponds with the structure of my thesis. I chose this method, because in my opinion this way of treating of the problem becomes more understandable. The thesis consists of introduction, eight chapters and the conclusion. In the introduction I mentioned reasons why I have chosen the theme and basic information concerning the social security law in Czech Republic. The first chapter is about progress of Social security law, especially in the area of present-day Czech Republic. The first chapter is divided into the 3 subchapters and the last one is also divided into another three sections. On the...

Ciencialová, Andrea ; Štangová, Věra (advisor) ; Vysokajová, Margerita (referee)
Resumé Equal treatment and non-discrimination are rules that are essential in international law, European law and national law. They are regulated in many international documents, in terms of European law, especially, in the regulations and directives. Czech Republic, as one of the member States of the European Union is obliged to ensure compliance of national law with European law. It was therefore necessary in order to ensure compliance with requirements of the EC / EU in the field of equal treatment and non-discrimination of employees that are regulated in anti-discrimination directives with our national law. This happened by adoption of Act No. 198/2009 Coll., Anti-Discrimination Act, which as a general law governing these principles. In my works I deal with treatment of these principles in the documents of international law and international organizations active in this area in the primary and secondary law of the EC/EU and also the current modification in our legal system. My work is divided into an introduction, six sections and a conclusion. The first part of my work deals with the basic concepts relevant to this area, such as equality, equal treatment, discrimination and its types, as direct or indirect, and others. In the second part I focused on the modification of the principle of equal...

Leyer, Petr ; Štangová, Věra (advisor) ; Vysokajová, Margerita (referee)
Historical Evolution of Social Security and its Types The topic of the thesis is "Historical Evolution of Social Security and its Types" and its main purpose is to describe how social security works during different eras and also to analyze how particular points of view have changed. Various approaches occurred in more than three thousand-year history of social security. Some of them are up-to-date even today and another are useless for practical implementation into contemporary social security systems. This comparison is also one goal of the study. I have chosen the topic because every individual is interested in its living standard in case of getting ill, becoming disabled, old age etc. but there are only few studies examining social security from legal angles. The paper is divided into three main chapters. First chapter is introductory and composes of three parts. Part One defines basic terminology used in the paper e.g. social security and its special Czech equivalent "sociální zabezbečení" as well as social services and social welfare. Part Two explain aims and aspects of social security. And finally Part Three presents basic principles which create some sort of ideological background. Second chapter is subdivided into six parts and each of them has from three to six subparts. The whole chapter focuses...

Ambrožová, Jana ; Vysokajová, Margerita (advisor) ; Štangová, Věra (referee) ; Brádlerová, Libuše (referee)
The Employment of Persons with Disabilities and the prohibition of their discrimination JUDr. Jana Humečková Summary People with disabilities face big problems in the labour market when they want to find a job. Their unemployment rate is far higher than the unemployment rate of the able-bodied. The disability itself is just a part of the problem. The employers often do not want to employ people with disabilities because they can see just their disabilities not their abilities. A lot of employers have still prejudices about people with disabilities and their skills. They consider them to be often ill and with a low productivity. Many employers have no idea what people with disabilities in spite of their limitations can do with the help of assistive technology devices. For this reason in my dissertation thesis I would like to examine in depth the legal regulations of the employment of people with disabilities in the international legally binding and non- binding documents, in the Czech legal regulations and in the legal regulations of some chosen states. Historically, people with disabilities were brought into focus of lawmakers after World War I, when thousands of injured and disabled people came home after the war. The state felt obliged to them because of their sacrifice to the welfare of the nation. First...

Personal data protection in labor relations
Žůrek, Jiří ; Štangová, Věra (advisor) ; Vysokajová, Margerita (referee)
The author deals with issues of personal data processing in labor relations and the problems which arise in everyday practice. A substantial part of the work is about subjects which are processing personal data and their particular responsibilities. The author proceeds from relevant decisions and opinions of the supervisory body, the Office for Personal Data Protection. The thesis also analyzes particular personal data which are processed by the employer. In this context the author analyzes in detail the decision of the Supreme Administrative Court in connection with the issue of communicating of salaries and compensation of civil servants under the Act No. 106/1999 Coll. Freedom on Information, as amended. The author concluded that the current wording of Act No. 106/1999 Coll. can't be used to communicate the information on salary or remuneration of state employees. The last chapter is dedicated to possibilities of using modern means used to protect the rights and legitimate interests of employers, which process personal data of employees. In this regard, the author expresses opinion on the appropriateness of adopting special legislation that would regulate unequivocally the possibility to use these modern means in labor relations.
