This bachelor's thesis presents a literary analysis of Anna Blažíčková's novella Psí víno. In four chapters I focus on the following: textual components (formal structure, textual coherence and basic narrative structure), linguistic components (stylistic, syntactic, lexical and morphological), characterization (types of characters, means of explicit and implicit characterization, realisation of the theme through characters) and the theme itself (themes of family, loss and work). The aim of this thesis is to discover and present basic structural and thematic components of the novella.

Literar-critical work of Jan Lopatka in the context of his personal library

The thesis highlights the literary-critical work of Jan Lopatka in the context of his personal library. It is a literary-historical and critical description of his work by characterizing and defining thematic blocks, which Lopatka systematically pursued in his personal library. It centers on a comparison of the significance of his work and pinpoints defined blocks in Lopatka's library fund and their significance in his literary criticism. Based on a complete inventory of his personal library (prepared by the author of this thesis) and its knowledge, research characterizes his work mainly from this perspective. Attention will also be paid to manuscripts, typescripts and notes in his books.

Hidden feminity of Jiřina Hauková

Dílo básnířky Jiřiny Haukové stojí v české literatuře na čestném, a zároveň téměř opomíjeném místě. Hauková je jaksi samozřejmě vnímána jako členka Skupiny 42, a stejně jistě je přijímána jako překladatelka z angličtiny. Coby svébytná básnířka setrvala dlouho, když ne přímo opodál zájmu literární kritiky, tak řekněme alespoň "ve stínu"svých skupinových souputníků. Příčiny tohoto faktu ponechávám stranou, ale připouštím, že toto "proč" se stalo pohnutkou ke zrodu mé diplomové práce. Dalším podnětem byly některé kritické poznámky recenzentů, kteří hodnotili poezii Baukové jakožto ženskou, aniž by ovšem tuto "ženskost" nějak blíže specifikovali. Na druhé straně, mnoho jiných kritiků ponechávalo tento aspekt její poezie bez povšimnutí. Úkolem diplomové práce bude tedy analýza poetiky vybraných sbírek a polemika s jejich kritickou recepcí za účelem prozkoumání ženského básnického subjektu v poezii Jiřiny Baukové. Z důvodu rozsáhlosti básnického díla Jiřiny Baukové, jsem si pro potřeby této práce vybrala určitý jeho "vzorek". V době, kdy jsem se rozhodovala, ještě nebylo celé dílo završeno, proto jsem zvolila možnost sledovat básnířku Jiřinu Baukovou od samých počátků tvorby. Pracuji tedy s materiálem prvních pěti sbírek, Přísluní (1943), Cizí pokoj (1946), Oheň ve sněhu (1958), Mezi lidmi a havrany (1965) a...

Czech LiteraryDreams. (The Interpretations of Three Kundera's Novels)

Diploma thesis Czech literary dreams deals with interpretation of three novels by Milan Kundera (The Joke, Life Is Elsewhere, The Book of Laugter and Forgetting). The core of the interpretations lies with the dreamy parts of the novel. The meaning of the text was sought within relations of more and less noticeable subjects and intertextual references. The interpretations of chosen Kundera's novels are partially observed through the context of works of Ludvík Vaculík, in particular by the context of The Czech Dreambook.

The Reflection of Writing in Sešity by Jan Hanč

This bachelor essay focuses on the analysis of the texts about the author's own writing in the section Sešity from Události by Jan Hanč. It deals with a portrait of the writer and his craft in this literary work. Within the interpretation of the text, the writer pays attention to the identity of writing subject or the relation between writing and physicality. She also gives a stylistic analysis of Sešity with an emphasis on the communication situation.

Orientace, 1966-1967. Literature, art and criticism.

This work discusses the first two years of the magazine Orientace (1966, 1967). It describes how this bimonthly issued magazine works towards outside environment - how it communicates with the public and other magazines and how they react back. It also focuses on describing the structure of the journal - whether it has fixed sections, editors, topics for analysis, what disappeared from the contents during years 1966/67 and on the other hand what was added. The continuous formats of the magazine such as: Kulatý stůl, 1 + 1 = 2, Slovo má..., Kritický metr na metr knih are analysed more in detail. The magazine Orientace itself serves as a main source, next contemporary reactions and criticism in other periodicals and cited professional literature were used. The contribution of this thesis is the enclosure - annotated bibliography of the first two years with the authors and subject index.

Myši Natálie Mooshabrové: repetitiveness, game, and narration

Román Myši Natálie Mooshabrové (1970) má specifické místo mezi vrcholnými prózami Ladislava Fukse, publikovanými ve druhé polovině šedesátých a na začátku sedmdesátých let. V Myších autor opustil ukotvení příběhu ve vnějších dějinách a/nebo v subjektivní historii postavy, které bylo typické jak pro introspektivní, zčásti autobiografické Variace pro temnou strunu (1966), tak pro Spalovače mrtvol (1968) a většinu próz ve Smrti morčete (1969), a vydal se žánrově na pole fantastiky, utopie a detektivního románu.1 Tato žánrová fúze je v Myších provedena velmi originálně a je spojena s nebývale masivním a propracovaným uplatněním stylových a narativních postupů, určujících již od předchozích děl charakter Fuksových textů. Myši jsou provokativním a dráždivě mnohoznačným textem - slibným předmětem literárněinterpretačních snah.
