Balance of energy recovery waste
Rovný, Jan ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
The way waste is handled is a topical and sensitive issue on a long-term basis, especially in connection with the energy use of (mixed) municipal waste. Despite the very variable composition and properties, municipal waste is after homogenization a potentially energy efficient fuel that saves primary energy sources and thanks to efficient flue gas cleaning systems is environmentally friendly. There is still a large amount of municipal waste in the Czech Republic, but there are more efficient ways of processing – recycling, composting and energy utilization. The aim of the thesis is to analyze the properties of municipal waste as a raw material, to compare the methodology of statistical measurement from various sources and then to objectify the balance of waste in the Czech Republic. The last aim is the search of waste energy recovery facilities in the Czech Republic and describe balance of energy-using waste in these facilities.
Multicyclone treatment behind biomass boiler
Vafek, Petr ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Jiří (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with multitube cyclone changes leading to improve separating efficiency of solid particles. The thesis begins with theoretical part, in which the attributes and types of solid particle separators focusing on cyclones are presented. The practical part begins with separating efficiency and pressure drop calculation of the specific multitube cyclone. Subsequently the separating problem is explained and the changes leading to eliminating this problem are presented and evaluated. In the last and main part of thesis the design project including piping design and fan choice is created.
– Construction of large power plants for use of renewable energy sources in Czech Republic
Krátký, Lukáš ; Brázdil, Marian (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is researching possibilities of implementation of large renewable power sources in the Czech Republic. In concentrates especially on photovoltaic power plants, wind power plants, water power plants, and heating plants and power plants using biomass and assessment of the impact of renewable power sources on the stability of transmission systems. Among others it deals with long-term conception of power industry in the Czech Republic and the European Union. Nevertheless, the main part of the thesis focuses on an actual issue of exploatation of renewable sources under specific conditions of the Czech Republic. The problematic of the influence of renewable power sources on the stability of transmission grids and possibilities of strengthening that stability is reflected too.
Design of the steam generator for a nuclear power plant
Hort, Lukáš ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Milčák, Pavel (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is about the design of a steam generator for a nuclear power plant. The opening chapters are purely theoretical, with the first one covering nuclear energy as such, the next one continuing with the search for different types of parogenerators and their subsequent comparison. This is followed by a calculation section dealing with the thermal calculation of the parogenerator for the given parameters.
Modelling of flows in a heat exchanger
Hudeček, František ; Milčák, Pavel (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
This thesis considers problematics of calculating and designing heat exchangers. First way of solving the designing problem is by using mathematical formulas for heat transfer, which are based on manifold measurements. Second approach is can be considered modern as the designing of heat exchangers is realized by using computing technology and appropriate software for simulation of flow and heat transfer. These computations are realized for specified type of heat exchanger that is chosen after a brief research. The results are then post processed, commented and these two approaches are compared and evaluated.
Gas - steam cycle
Tóth, Richard ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Kracík, Petr (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis „Gas-steam cycle“ explains the cycle from technical point and then its application in economic terms. At the beginning is explaind how gas turbine work and its application in Czech republic and World. In practical part are for real Gas-steam cycle Power Plant in simplified way calculated basic parameters and efficiency in full operation and operating only with gas turbines. The end contains a design of Heat recovery steam generator.
Heat exchanger design
Kováč, Patrik ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Baláš, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the design of a tube heat exchanger for use of the residual flue gas energy for preheating of combustion air. The thesis contains description, categorization and requirements of tube heat exchangers, stoichiometric calculations, design of geometric dimensions, thermal and hydraulic calculation. The main part of the thesis is the analysis of heat exchanger sensitivity to selected parameters and evaluation of results. The thesis contains a design drawing of the designed exchanger.
Flue gas - water heat exchanger design 2020
Pálka, Jaroslav ; Baláš, Marek (referee) ; Špiláček, Michal (advisor)
The aim of this final thesis is to design flue gas – water heat exchanger with certain power and entering temperatures. This heat exchanger is designed for a gas boiler. From over-view of suitable technologies was selected gasketed plate heat exchanger. Design consists of heat, pressure drop calculation and basic design drawing.
Risk of Waste Combustion in Small Boilers
Kopecká, Eliška ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of waste combustion in small boilers. In the first chapter, the components of household waste are specified in more detail, as well as the pro-duction and possible waste management. The second chapter is focused on the formation of the pollutants during combustion and their impact on the environment and the human organ-ism. In the third chapter is presented the process of the operation of the waste incinerator and there are mentioned the limit values of the emissions that are released into the air. The fourth chapter deals with the reason for the origin and the comparison of the pollutants aris-ing from combustion in small boilers. Materials defined as household waste and pollutants released from them during incineration are described here. In the end, the results of the the-sis are evaluated.
Modern Trends of Heating of Family House
Holub, Ondřej ; Špiláček, Michal (referee) ; Lisý, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor´s thesis summarizes fundamental knowledge regarding various heating methods for family house. It is focused on new technologies - especially heat pumps. In the second part there is a comparison of some methods of heating for a model house.
