The model is developed for the purpose of study the effects of AWGN and phase noise on the whole system and also on its component parts. The model has been developed and described in the way of easy parameters modification. The design for each parameter of the model is described carefully. With the developed model, the study of the effects of AWGN and phase noise on the whole system and also on its component parts has been performed.
Italian and corsican verbal periphrases
Svojtková, Tereza ; Štichauer, Pavel (advisor) ; Špaček, Jiří (referee)
This thesis will shed light on the system of verbal periphrases in the Italian and Corsican languages. First, both the theoretical and actual functioning of verbal periphrases in an array of global languages will be delineated. Italian verbal periphrases will be the focus of the second movement of this thesis and the third part of our reasoning will underscore the linguisitic similarities of the Italián and Corsican verbal periphrases, concluding with the sociohistorical aspects of the Corsican language to culminate in the portrayal of current usage trends.
Prognostic Factors Influencing the Effect of Chemotherapy in Cervical and Ovarian Cancer
Hruda, Martin ; Rob, Lukáš (advisor) ; Mlynček, Miloš (referee) ; Špaček, Jiří (referee)
First part of the thesis: Prognostic factors influencing the effect of chemotherapy in ovarian cancer INTRODUCTION: Membrane transporter proteins (for example ABC, SLC and ATPases) take part in oncogenesis and the formation of chemoresistance, however the interpretation of their importance in ovarian cancer prognosis is still limited. METHODS: Gene expression profiling was performed on 39 ABC and 12 SLC transporters and 3 ATPases in epithelial ovarian cancer (EOC) tissues and the results were assessed with respect to prognosis and clinical presentation of EOC patients. In a cohort of tissues with primary EOC (n = 57) and control tissues (n = 14) we assessed relative expression of genes and compared it with the clinical and survival information. The data was verified on a separate cohort (n = 60). RESULTS: 6 ABC genes and the SLC22A18 gene were considerably over-expressed in the cancer tissues in comparison with control tissues and the expression of 12 ABC genes, 5 SLC genes, ATP7A, ATP11B was reduced. The expression of ABCA12, ABCC3, ABCC6, ABCD3, ABCG1, SLC22A5 genes was greater in HGSC in comparison with other types. Expression of ABCA2 was considerably related to tumour grade in both cohorts. Particularly, the expression levels of ABCA9, ABCA10, ABCC9 and SLC16A14 were considerably related to...
Predictive Factors of Vulvar Precancer Lesions - Optimisation of Diagnostic - Therapeutic Management
Pichlík, Tomáš ; Rob, Lukáš (advisor) ; Mlynček, Miloš (referee) ; Špaček, Jiří (referee)
Vulvar cancer accounts for only 5% of gynaecological malignancies and belongs to uncommon gynaecological tumours. The incidence is around 4/100,000 women and the mortality reaches almost 2/100,000 women and has not changed a lot during last decades. The therapy of genital warts and premalignant lesions of the vulva does not lead to significant drop of recurrence despite various therapeutic modalities. Three different data sets of women were included into this work. The first set focuses on data of HPV distribution across different vulvar lesions, where 54 genital warts, 102 vulvar precancer lesions, 49 vulvar cancers and 44 vulvar dystrophies were included respectively. Second set focuses on epidemiology and the importance of surgical margins in the treatment of vulvar H-SIL, where 65 women were included. The last set is focused on the problems of HPV and non-HPV associated vulvar cancers in relation to recurrence. 133 vulvar cancers were included into the data set and 105 vulvar cancers were analysed with the portion of 53 HPV associated and 52 non-HPV associated vulvar cancers. The main objective is to analyse own data sets and expand the knowledge of predictive factors of vulvar lesions. Our findings will be applied in clinical practice with the intention to optimise diagnostic-therapeutic...
The evolution of the Italian written language in commercial communication from 1990 onwards
Hrubá, Zlata ; Štichauer, Pavel (advisor) ; Špaček, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse the development of the Italian language used in business environment and also the overall development of the Italian and commercial correspondence from the nineties of the twentieth century to the present. In the first and theoretical part, the work focuses on the introduction of a theory of communication, models of communication and business communication methods, but the main topic of this work is corrispondenza commerciale - a business correspondence. Based on the theoretical ground, a framework for subsequent analysis has been defined, in order to compare and deal with salutation and addressing options, syntactic and lexical changes, and also with polite and formal methods and with various final greetings and formulas. The analysis has provided interesting results demonstrating the occurrence of major changes in the Italian business correspondence and in professional language as well. However, the analysis has brought unexpected results.
Linguistic devices of french in gastronomy and their use in didactics
Pauerová, Eva ; Loucká, Hana (advisor) ; Špaček, Jiří (referee)
The thesis focuses on French linguistic devices in the communicative sphere of gastronomy. It is based on the analysis of written texts, in particular of recipes, menu cards and newspaper and magazine articles that contain dietary advice. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first part dwells on the typological determination of texts; it is further divided into three sections. Firstly it deals with kitchen recipes, followed by texts containing nutritional advice and, further on, menu cards. Every section contains an analysis of the type of text in terms of communicative situation, while observing pragmatical conditions of the text formation focused on the target recipient and also devices used to express the communicative function. The following section concerns the discourse and its organization, i.e. the scrutiny of specific stylistic methods used in the texts. The general analysis is concluded by the examination of linguistic devices of the texts, observing both the morfosyntactical and the lexical plan. Finally, a number of authentic texts is treated in the same way, with a discussion of the pragmatical plan, discursive plan and linguistic devices.
Verbs in the textbooks of Italian language with a focus on indicative tenses
Prokopiusová, Jana ; Štichauer, Pavel (advisor) ; Špaček, Jiří (referee)
The main impulse for this thesis work, called Verbs in the Textbooks of Italian Language with a Focus on Indicative Tenses, were some findings and conclusions made by renowned Italian linguists who specialise in the field of second language acquisition. The problem in its general aspects is summarized in the first part of the work: I outline briefly various aspects of language acquisition, the process of acquisition in Italian language, and then I am reflecting on the practical usage of this issue. The largest space is devoted to individual stages of acquisition of verbal tenses in indicative, which is the main focus of the thesis. According to the selected and quoted studies, it is possible to determine certain chronology of grammar tenses acquisition generally applicable when studying a foreign language. The order should preferably be: present tense (presente) - passato prossimo - past imperfect (imperfetto) - future tense (futuro) - (passato remoto). After describing these tenses, their functions and usage based on various Italian grammar books, I concentrated on how these tenses are described and explained in selected study books for students of Italian. My main interest was to map up to which extent these books are in concordance with the mentioned natural chronology of grammar acquisition. The result...
Anglicisms in Italian media with a focus on Anglicisms in Italian vocabulary of printed magazines
Machková, Veronika ; Štichauer, Pavel (advisor) ; Špaček, Jiří (referee)
The diploma thesis of Anglicisms in Italian Media with a Focus on Anglicisms in Italian Vocabulary of Printed Magazines is centred around a key problem: the influence of English language on Italian. The goal of the degree work is to prove via an analysis of fourteen of the most popular Italian printed magazines, which are read by millions of Italians every week, that the influence of English on Italian language is quite negative. The expressions which are used in both spoken language and the printed one are not only technical terms; the majority of the words are common expressions used in everyday life which have Italian equivalents. In my opinion, it is mainly media that is the source of new English words floating into Italian and the journalists who support the people in using them. As I have tried to prove in the various tables which contain all the words used in all the magazines, the phenomenon concerns all kinds of media. Anglicisms are used in magazines designated to young people, who are among the most knowledgeable in English language, as well as in magazines for older people who don't speak English at all. Moreover, there is no difference in the kind of topics: anglicisms are used in articles about business, politics, and economy the same way as in articles about entertainment and show business...
