Application for Tree Stability Measurement
Šoltés, Jakub ; Kolář, Martin (referee) ; Polok, Lukáš (advisor)
This thesis is concerned with the subject of tree stability under a wind load. It defines, what the tree stability is, which techniques are used for its measurement and why it is important to determine it. It describes development process of application, that examines tree stability. Furthermore it analyses available the development tools, discusses a design and an implementation of the application written in C# language. Application has been created using .NET Framework along with graphical subsystem Windows Presentation Foundation following the design pattern Model View ViewModel. The result of this thesis is a desktop application aimed on Windows operating system. It can compute stability coefficient of the tree using information about trees‘ geometry and its environment. The value of stability coefficient is commonly used for tree safety inspection.
Medical radioisotopes production capabilities at the LVR-15 reactor
Krásny, Peter ; Šoltés, Jaroslav (advisor) ; Krtička, Milan (referee)
This thesis is focused on medical radioisotopes production ca- pabilities at the LVR-15 research reactor at Řež, near Prague in the Czech Republic. Firstly, a calculation prediction of activities for the chosen target materials is provided as well as the determination of the suitable irradiation time for the experiment. These target materials in the form of activation detectors are then irradiated in the reactor. Their activities are measured by methods of γ-spectrometry and the results are compared with the pre- dictions. This validates those calculation predictions for the use of activity predictions for the process of medical radioisotope production at the LVR- 15 reactor and for the subsequent shipment of these radioisotopes to the hospitals and/or final processors. 1
Performance of self-developing radiography films in LVR-15's neutron beams
Šoltés, J. ; Viererbl, L. ; Klupák, V. ; Vinš, M. ; Michalcová, Božena
In the search for a suitable detector for demonstration neutron radiography measurements on the zero-power VR-1 training reactor at the Czech Technical University in Prague, some options were considered. Due to the reactor's low power and spatial limitations, an easy and practical solution had to be found. Self-developing films represent a flexible detection tool in x-ray imaging. Therefore, the goal of this study was to evaluate their potential for neutron detection. For this purpose, bare and converter covered films were studied in the thermal and epithermal neutron beams at the LVR-15 research reactor in Rez, Czech Republic.
