Nicolas Sarkozy s reflection in the of ČTK in a period of Czech European Union Presidency

Bachelor's thesis Nicolas Sarkozy's reflection in the news of ČTK in a period of Czech European Union Presidency pursues French president Nicolas Sarkozy's activities in a period of Czech Presidency from 1st January to 30th June 2009. The Czech Republic was the second post-communist country after Slovenia which was the leader of the European Union so our Presidency received much interest. At the beginning, the Czech Republic as well as its Presidency was in a shadow of France which led the European Union before and its President Nicolas Sarkozy whose Presidency was very ambitious and dynamic. The aim of this thesis was to find out, how the news corresponded with Sarkozy's qualitites. Whether the news corresponded and Nicolas Sarkozy was really portrayed as the hyperactive and tireless politician, or his picture was the different, and the news of ČTK did not correspond with his characteristic properties. The second part of the thesis was a quantitative analysis of all news which in the text news of ČTK about Nicolas Sarkozy issued in the pursued period, and the detailed analysis of their metadata. These are always for clarity put and summarized in the tables. In some cases, I used graphs for better visibility. More detailed graphs of the quantity of news issued for each month are listed in the annexe.

The Contemporary Television News in the Main Broadcast of CT24 and Z1

In this Bachelor thesis the author deals with the contemporary television news, concretely in the main broadcast of Czech news television stations ČT24 and Z1. The method used is comparative analysis in the period of November 2008. The objective of the thesis is to find out how the news stations processed the home and world affairs and how they formed the news in their main broadcast. The author also tries to describe new trends which appear in the news broadcast. The news stations in Czech Republic do not have a long tradition. They work up also thanks to the new technologies. The television stations react to them and optimize their broadcast to them. That is why it is interesting to follow how the news broadcast is changigng.

Digitalizing Czech television broadcasting - projects and reality

This diploma thesis deals with digitalizing of terrestrial television broadcasting in Czech Republic. It focuses on the process of changing completely the way of watching TV in Czech households. It maps technological change that digital broadcasting brings to use of television, sociological aspects of change- overand historical progress in thinking of digitalizing Czech Republic. Czech Republic needs to join European Union in all aspects, and digitalization of terrestrial television broadcasting is one of them. Czech Republic accessed to convention of international coordination of frequency spectrum and changed the law according to it. Unfortunately problems in communication between all of the concerned organizations related to digital broadcasting caused present problem with administration of concession and incompetence to fill up the Technical planof change-over to digital broadcasting. Law and conceptions of state politics are implicit parts of the thesis. Initially the thesis should have compared original projects of digitalization concepts and reality and show it on case of new digital programs. More than a year after new programs got their long dreamed concessions, half of Czech television spectators can watch just digital programs of Czech TV and Nova. Trump for President. Analysis of the media image of Donald Trump in the ČTK news

This thesis titled "Trump for President. Analysis of the media image of Donald Trump in the CTK news" deals with the portrayal of Donald Trump. This thesis focuses on Trump related news release from March 18, 2015 to January 20, 2017. In March 2015, Mr Trump announced his intention to run for presidency of the United States through the Republican Party and would be taking part in the primaries. He officially became president in January 2017. The aim of the thesis, which is based on quantitative research using content analysis, is to find out how the role of Donald Trump as President of the United States of America was reflected in CTK news. The paper aims to clarify whether the media`s interest in Donald Trump had been steadily rising over the period under review in CTK and which of the thematic categories are covered in the various stages of pre-election rivalry even after the election. An aggregate of articles was used as a data resource from CTK`s infobank. It can be concluded from the results that Trump's success also depended on the fact that he was able to highlight his personality and set criterias relating to his ideologies and political experience through the help of the media.
