Synchrotron Radiation PhotoElectron Studyof CeOx-Pd,Sn,Au Model Catalysts
Škoda, Michal ; Matolín, Vladimír (advisor) ; Čech, Vladimír (referee) ; Plšek, Jan (referee)
The doctoral thesis deals with study of model catalytic systems Ce(Ox)-Pd(111), Sn-CeO2(111) and Au-CeO2(111). The metal-metal and metal-oxide interactions are investigated by means of photoelectron spectroscopy method (PES), first of all resonant photoelectron spectroscopy (RPES). The RPES method showed, that the chemical state modifications of the system induce significant modifications in the band structure of its atoms implicating dramatic valence band changes. The RPES method has appeared to be a powerful instrument for valence band electron structure study.

Reengineering of project management processes in selected ICT company
Škoda, Michal ; Bartoška, Jan (advisor) ; Romana, Romana (referee)
This thesis focuses on project management. The introduction defines the basic concepts of project management and describes the most frequently used project management methodologies focusing on PRINCE2 methodology. The main body of the thesis focuses on processes in the chosen ICT company, more specifically on process reengineering and on the description of related documents. After a brief introduction of the company and its project history the thesis moves on to describe the current project management processes and related documentation in detail. Following this, the processes are re-designed according to the PRINCE2 methodology. Recommendation regarding the processes are given as well as recommendation regarding the appropriate documentation. Drafts of selected documents are made.
Marketing Strategy of DECASPORT s.r.o.
Přívratská, Iveta ; Postler, Milan (advisor) ; Škoda, Michal (referee)
As the objective of this work I set the marketing strategies analysis of Decasport retail store chain with sports equipment. Based on this analysis and evaluated survey I determined the suggestions and recommendations for improving the current marketing strategies. The marketing analysis consists of PEST and SWOT analysis as well as analysis of competition and communication. The survey is handled in comprehensive way, from brand awareness and its relationship of the potential customer to public company communication interference.
