Monkey Bank Robbers
Škoda, Dominik ; Lidický, Bernard (advisor) ; Cibulka, Josef (referee)
The project concerns of creation of computer game inspirated by the game RoboRally. The program is based on Client-Server architecture and allowes players to play together via Internet. The application running on server manages individual games and takes care of synchronization between players. The program allowes to implement artificial inteligence which can join individual game with another players. Each player can create any map and play a game with any map. The project is designed for simple extension in future. The program is developed in JAVA language.
Simulink Block Library for LEGO NXT
Škoda, Dominik ; Bureš, Tomáš (advisor) ; Bulej, Lubomír (referee)
Simulink Block Library for LEGO NXT Abstract Dominik Škoda July 30, 2014 The goal of this work is to create a support for the LEGO NXT platform in Simulink development environment. Such support of the target platform already exists, but it suffers from several disadvantages. At first it is provided exclusively for Windows operating systems, and the implementation is closed, therefor neither extensible nor customizable. The main premise of this project is the support of Linux operating systems. The project is also opened to ensure the extensibility and customizability. The model-driven development of systems for the LEGO NXT platform using this project comprises the model testing in a simulation and code generation in Simulink environment by using its standard tools, and deployment of completed programs to target devices. The systems generated with the help of this project are categorized as real-time systems.

Modern approach to user interfaces for e-mail
Hruška, Marcel ; Kratochvíl, Miroslav (advisor) ; Škoda, Dominik (referee)
Webmails are indisposable interfaces for working with the e-mail on the current Internet, mostly because of the simplicity of their deployment in bro- wsers and easy integration with many provider-specific features. The most important features that are partially or fully missing in current open-source webmail implementations include directory-less mail organization by tags, navigation driven by a high-performance fulltext search, and integration of time-management capabilities. This thesis describes a new open-source alter- native to advanced commercial webmails that possesses these features. The software integrates full-text search capabilities of the ElasticSearch database with current e-mail processing infrastructure on UNIX systems to create a back-end server application, which is used by a Javascript-based browser front-end. The performance of the solution is tested on a large e-mail dataset. 1
O-Hunter
Vašek, Vojtěch ; Kučera, Petr (advisor) ; Škoda, Dominik (referee)
This work looks into using digital image processing to create an educative game, which should guide its user through interesting places in the world. Invented game named O-Hunter, which consists of two parts - server and client, uses photo comparison, analyzes daytime and uses filters to modify images. In the first section, rules of the game are described, analysis of used methods follows. Implementation is described in third section and the next section covers how the program should be used. This program shows, that some of the selected approaches are very well suitable for this application and others can fail in real situations. Last section covers conclusions and suggestions for improvements. The game O- Hunter can be employed to discover attractive places in an unusual way, its design provides option to substitute or improve implementations of used techniques. Port of QEMU to HelenOS
Mareš, Jan ; Děcký, Martin (advisor) ; Škoda, Dominik (referee)
QEMU is a machine emulator that is able to emulate environment of various hardware platforms, including PC, PowerPC, ARM and SPARC. The goal of this master thesis is to port QEMU to HelenOS, thus allowing developers run the emulation of HelenOS inside HelenOS. The thesis contains a detailed analysis of the possible porting approaches (including the port of prerequisite libraries or their replacements) and an analysis of the features of QEMU (a reasonable subset of all features of QEMU) that are essential for achieving the goal and features that can be omitted in the prototype implementation. The primary focus of the implementation is to support the PC (x86 and x86-64) guest environment. Although not part of the prototype implementation, the thesis also focuses on analyzing the requirements for running QEMU as a virtualization hypervisor in HelenOS. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)

Simulation of infrastructure building impact on wine bar and candy store economic performance
Škoda, Dominik ; Krejčí, Igor (advisor) ; Horáková, Tereza (referee)
The bachelor thesis deals with the application of system dynamics to a small business, which has been affected by a sewage system construction in the past few years. The theoretical part of this thesis describes to a general description of system dynamics, including its history and development. It focuses on the definition of some of the basic terms used in system dynamics and specifies the difference between system and linear thinking. It also provides a description of tools used in system dynamics and a characterization of structures frequently used in practice and often used in complex models. The practical part gives information about the activity field and the conduct of the modelled business. It introduces modelled structures, created using Vensim PLE software, which helped to achieve the final aim of this Bachelor thesis. The stock and flow diagram scripts and the following result interpretation are included.
