Path planning of a nonholonomic mobile robot

This thesis deals with robot path planning by means of selected methods. Specifically by the methods RRT, IGPPR and ISSD. The theoretical part contains the overview of existing methods for path planning and description of previously mentioned methods. The practical part describes implementation of each methods which are applied to nonholonomic mobile robot working in 2D workspace with static obstacles.

Design of airsoft gun control electronics

This thesis deals with control electronics of airsoft gun type AR15. To create a prototype, it was necessary to select applicable components, design a printed circuit board, and create intelligent control software. Thanks to the designed electronics, the user will be able to fully control the behavior of his weapon.

This master’s thesis is focused on valuation of effeciency of a particular company. This valuation of effeciency is performed on EFQM Model Excellence. Theoretical part of thesis is focused on description of selected models of valuation of effeciancy. In practical part is selected comapany introduced and included it’s field of business. And on the base of EFQM Excellence Model is valuation of efficiency made. The final part of the thesis is given suggestions for improvement.

Smart greenhouse control system design

This thesis deals with the design of an embedded control system for a smart greenhouse based on commonly available microcontrollers, enabling the automation of greenhouse operation while maintaining minimal costs. The conceptual greenhouse solution includes equipment for process automation, a web application for monitoring current status and statistics, as well as the necessary controls for manual remote control of the actuators. Furthermore, the proposed system supports connection to a parent server which allows remote monitoring and control.

Small mammals in diet of barn owl in the Eastern Meditarranean

The extensive material of skeletal remains of mammals from a diet of barn owl in the eastern Mediterranean has been processed and evaluated with different techniques of chorological and morphometric analysis. At least 8400 individuals of 45 species of insectivores, rodents and bats were found in our total collection of samples, which represents a significant portion of fauna of the region. We have evaluated a chorological composition of the taphocoenoses and the interregional differences, manifested primarily by differences in the representation of satellite and accessory elements. We found a highly significant impoverishment of the isolated island taphocenoses (Cyprus, Karpathos, partly on Crete), where Cricetidae, Arvicolidae, C. leucodon etc. are missing. On the other hand the essential part of the dominance structure takes up the Rattus rattus, which acts here as an invasive species, significantly more successful than in the ragged continental contexts. The species diversity of the examined samples is positively correlated with the geographic latitude (taphocenoses of the northern regions are significantly richer) and negatively with the island effect and the degree of aridization. Preparation of water course revitalization study

This diploma thesis deals with the design of ox-bow lake revitalization measures, located southwest to the city Strakonice. Due to its charakteristics, ox-bow lake represents high-value biodiversity area. Recently, due to a disturbation in the aquatic regime, this area is threatened in sediment issue. Practical part of the diploma thesis is focused on the sediment and water level research and monitoring of plant and animal species. Obtained data result in particular revitalization measures.

Modern Campaigning in K.Schwarzenberg's presidential campaign - Fundraising, Volunteering, Endorsement

The bachelor's thesis "Modern campaigning in K. Schwarzenberg's presidential campaign: Fundraising, volunteering, endorsement" focuses on specific methods in election campaigns. In the first part it describes fundraising, volunteering and endorsement in context of political communication and marketing. It also mentions reasons for their usage and possible ways of execution and communication. The brief summarization of application of these methods in Czech campaigns is at the end of the first part. The main part of this thesis describes and analyses fundraising, volunteering and endorsement in Karel Schwarzenberg's 2012/2013 presidential campaign using primary and secondary sources. In terms of fundraising the thesis analyses its communication and amount of donations, furthermore, it describes whether practice from the USA was applied. Moreover, the thesis deals with the acquisition of volunteers and individual supporters, also mentioning the internal communication and volunteer communication with voters in the Schwarzenberg's campaign. Potential reasons for emphasis on endorsement are mentioned at the end.
