The specifics of teacher's education

(in English): Dissertation is focused on the continuing education of teachers in terms of the current legislation of the European Union and the Czech Republic as one of the key adaptive mechanisms that ensure the ability of the education system to adequately respond to the ever changing social conditions in today's globalized world. The theoretical part through the analysis of different theoretical approaches to further education, defines and describes the issue of further education of teachers , the system - specific conditions , areas and its financing. It deals with the areas of the teacher's profession, their competences , career structure and professional standards. The empirical part of this dissertation, based on empirical research, describes the system of further education of teachers both in terms of school leadership , and from the perspective of teachers and it maps specific factors affecting the quality of the current further education of teachers.
Labour market changes in the era of globalization

This thesis introduces issues of globalization in the context of work (not only employment) and education. Further, it follows up the impacts of globalization processes on forms of work and on (working) individuals. The topic of globalization is examined in more detail in the first part of the thesis with emphasis on different concepts and approaches to globalization. At the same time this part defines the contemporary globalization. Work as such is introduced by historical excursion and by a list of changes of work in modern society. There are also presented some of the experts' solutions or recommendations for the labour markets including solutions through long-life education and learning. In most cases the "pros and cons" of changes of work and the submitted solutions are confronted. Main findings of this study are: globalization brings contradictory conclusions which provide advantages and disadvantages to various people and groups; there is a link between globalized economy and working individuals; and at the same time that the link between globalization processes and education is in such a sense that changes in education are often derived from the ideas of economics.
The theory and practice of body culture in the context of andragogy

The thesis deals with the relationship of adult's education and physical culture. It focuses on the growing role of education, especially adults, in contemporary society and formulates the idea of historical transformation of formerly time-and age-limited education in contemporary lifelong learning. In relation to that, the thesis describes the culture, especially the physical, and its link to the lifelong learning. This fact is considered from a historical and a theoretical perspective. Based on that, the thesis examines the relationship of adult's education and physical culture in the general theoretical and currently practical point of view. The importance of this investigation evaluates for potential adult's education knowledge application in physical culture and possible social function enhancing.
Classification of simulation and gaming in adult education

Jan Froněk, disertační práce, Katedra andragogiky a personálního řízení FF UK v Praze Abstract The dissertation thesis presents varieties of games and simulations in the field of adult education and specializes particularly in role-play and simulation classifications, with the emphasis on presenting case examples of the applications of the methods. To reach the objectives of the dissertation, first of all resources analysis had been made (both scientific resources and practical toolkits). Then the acquired knowledge was reframed into a terminological framework that had existed before, yet had not been defined specifically enough and explicitly for the field of adult education. The second pillar of the thesis represents a survey that was conducted among adult educators. The thesis consists of six main chapters: it is introduced by a general chapter on games, plays and their characteristics and definition (also from adult educator's perspective). Specifics of training and development in small organizations - analysis of employee satisfaction with training offer

The topic of this dissertation is employee education in the organizations. This work begins with the description of a comprehensive system of training and education of employees in the organizations. Next chapters are devoted to the business education system with focus on conception of learning organizations. The subsection is also focusing on the concept of strategic human resources development. An important chapter of this dissertation is a description of the process of designing the training of employees in the organizations, which includes parts focusing on the identification and analysis of a need of education, planning and implementation of education and its evaluation. In this framework are defined areas such as learning objectives, selected subgroup of learners, forms and methods of educational events, role of personality motivation and trainers. The practical part is devoted to description, analysis and comparison of the selected small organizations in terms of structure and organization of the education system. The use of alternative methods in foreign language teaching

This diploma thesis is concerned with the level of knowledge and use of selected alternative teaching methods - Suggestopedia, Total Physical Response (TPR), Community Language Learning (CLL), The Silent Way and Act&Speak method among the teachers of foreign languages of adults in Prague. For better orientation, it can be divided into two parts - theoretical and practical. In the theoretical part, I focus on the situation of foreign language education and foreign language policy of the European Union and the Czech Republic. Also, I define what is meant by the concepts of didactics of foreign languages and methods of foreign language teaching so that I can describe the traditional foreign language teaching methods (direct methods, indirect methods and eclectic methods) and alternative methods in the other section. In the practical part, I approach with the assumption that the teachers of foreign languages of adults in Prague do not know and do not use the selected alternative methods. These and other hypotheses were verified by a quantitative survey (questionnaire) which also examined whether there is a correlation between the teacher's education, length of the teacher's lecturing practice, a place of carrying out teaching activities and knowledge and using these alternative methods. Influence of non-financial motivation on external trainer's stability

This bachelor thesis deals with sources and instruments of non-financial motivation on stability of concrete group of external trainer's. Firstly, term of non-financial motivation is defined, than sources of motivation are described in context of organizational behavior, needs are emphasised as a key source of motivation to work. In thesis are specified and described instruments of non-financial motivation, which serves to stimulation on workers. Influence of extrinsic and intrinsic motive is described as well. Effect of non-financial motivation in organization is confirmed thanks to theory of social and market norms. In the second part qualitative probe is described, which deals with influence of forenamed factors on stability of concrete group of external trainer's. A comparison of possibilities of using methods of internal corporate education - coaching and mentoring

This thesis examines the application of two educational methods - coaching and mentoring - in an internal corporate education system. Attention is first drawn to the concept of corporate education, while terms such as education effectiveness and procedures of actual implementation are clarified. Thereafter, both examined methods are defined and goals to achieve through these methods are presented. Both methods are then compared, with the emphasis on their similarities and differences. The thesis also examines the specific situations in which it is appropriate to use either coaching or mentoring as part of company staff development. In the empirical part of the thesis, a cross-company survey is presented, researching an own approach to use of examined methods. Superlearning

This specialized thesis is dedicated to the subject of superlearning. Its main objectives are clearly organized and meaningful completion of the present knowing of the given question and mediation of information about possible use of so-called right- -hemisphere didactic methods and systems in language teaching in the Czech Republic. The thesis is composed of four main chapters. Superlearning is very often ranked among the didactic methods. The first chapter is dedicated to them. But superlearning is the special didactic system, it is said and explained in the second chapter. Its parts are also clarifying of relation with suggestopaedia and description of their common principles. The penultimate chapter treats of the phases of the group tuition of superlearning, superlearning as a way of self education and the method of language teaching called DME, which exploits the effective tenets of superlearning. The subject of the fourth chapter is the use of so-called right-hemisphere didactic methods and systems in language teaching in Czech practice. The Hospice Volunteer - the Specifics of Recruitment and Education

The thesis is describing the situation with volunteering programs at hospices. It is analyzing the process of recruitment, professional grow and managing volunteers directly involved with hospice clients. The document is summing up real life application of volunteers work at hospice, pointing out key aspects of the work at the specific environment of provided services of hospice. All texts are based on published professional literature and data provided by qualitative research providing most point of views of participating personal - volunteers and coordinators. In the first part you will find specifications of the volunteer hiring and education from organization point of view here represented by the coordinators. The second part describes the qualitative data research, providing volunteer's point of view on the same process. The research itself is targeting to provide the key moments of the volunteer's work at hospice organizations. It provides over all view of the main motivators of the work and on the other hand describes death with understanding and placing it as part of human life while showing its place in the society.
