The diploma thesis deals with the topic of cloud computing and its appropriate deployment in small and medium business. The objective of this thesis is to analyze the offer of Google products and to demonstrate measurable benefits of this solution. Introductory part of the thesis summarizes the history of IT and it is looking for the connection between history of IT and the term cloud computing. This term is described in detail with selected cloud computing characteristics. The main part of the thesis deals with analysis of Google services, technologies and platforms, which could be used in enterprise. The matters are viewed not only economically, but also from the technological and security point of view. In practical implementations are demonstrated measurable benefits of deployment to the Google cloud platform. Finally, the thesis provides the summary of platform's advantages and disadvantages with a description of practical advices for small and medium businesses
Monetary policy of Czech National Bank and the perspectives of acceptance of euro

Thesis called "Monetary policy of Czech National Bank and the perspectives of acceptance of euro" is mainly focused on convergence process in Czech Republic. First part of the work consists of current monetary policy of Czech National Bank and characteristics of monetary cooperation development needed for Economic and monetary union establishment. Real convergence state evaluation and maastricht criteria discharging in Czech Republic are the main goals of the thesis. Current global financial crisis is shown in readiness of Czech Republic of EMU entering conclusions.
ETF funds

This thesis deals with exchange traded funds (ETFs). The goal is to explain how different kinds of ETFs work and to find out whether some of them operate inefficiently when it comes to following their benchmarks. The thesis describes the collective investments industry, characteristics and valuation of ETFs, and compares the performance of chosen commodity funds among themselves as well as to their benchmarks. The thesis reaches an interesting conclusion.
New Media in Communication within Communities

Opening part of this paper is dedicated to the ongoing shift in social communication paradigm. An introduction to the subject of new media, web 2.0 concepts and social network sites phenomenon is followed by a discussion of integration possibilities of particular web 2.0 services. Some concerns about privacy, security, legislative framework and general openness of such system are discussed afterwards. A real case study of community virtualization process is introduced in the second part of this thesis. The case takes place in community of local non-profit club of youth and children. First, it is carried out an analysis of the communication receiver groups and the message types. We also describe the ongoing project of launching a new web site (made from several integrated web 2.0 services) and partial results of pilot implementation. Finally, the plan of the next integration steps is designed.
Comparison of approaches to creating credit scoring models

This work is focused on the management of a credit risk related to the traditional bank lending business to individuals. The paper deals with a theory of measuring risk with help of PD (Probability of Default) parameter when different scoring models are used. The goal is to outline an issue with the credit risk and its management in general, attention is paid to details of a process of creating scoring models. There are three specific modeling techniques listed, namely logistic regression, decision trees and neural networks. Methods are explained in detail and are given possibilities of mutual comparison. The application part is devoted to the evaluation and comparison of credit scoring models based on these methods.
Marketing Strategy Analysis - Sports Club

Estimate of dicount rates for purposes of evaluation

The Diploma Thesis deals with the problems of an estimate of the discount rate and the single parameters used especially in the two basic methods for its determination: the surcharge (premium) method and the CAPM model. In the first part there are presented the effects which influence the discount rate and thus also the method of its estimate. The second part of the thesis describes the surcharge (premium) method which includes an estimate of the riskfree rate, the risk premiums and the liquidity premium. The third part of the work is devoted to the CAPM model, and it is divided into two chapters. Firstly, the CAPM model is derived in chapter 3. Then, in chapter 4, there are presented the possibilities of estimate of its single parameters and premiums which are most frequently added to the basic CAPM model.

Práce porovnává strukturální a redukovaný přístup k modelování úvěrového rizika. Popisuje odvození základních modelů obou přístupů - Mertonův model a Jarrow-Turnbull model. Oba modely aplikuje na tržní data v České Republice.
