Culture and climate of selected universities

This thesis was focused on culture and climate of selected public universities in the Czech Republic in the form stated in strategic materials. The goal was to analyse and compare key aspects of strategic materials of selected universities that influence their culture and climate. Selected strategic materials included vision, mission, values, long-term intent of the university and educational faculty, annual activity report and code of ethics. The sample consisted of eight universities whose part was an educational faculty. The method of quantitative content analysis was selected for the analysis of the documents. There were six priority areas identified through the analysis of the documents of the Ministry of Education and key words related to these priority areas. The analysis of university documents showed that organizational culture and climate are not much explicitly covered in their strategic documents, the most frequently emerging feature of organizational culture were values, therefore mainly aspects determining culture and climate were tracked. Educational needs of the visually handicap in the context of another professional education

Final work on the topic Specific educational needs of visually impaired teachers in the framework of further professional education with a focus on needs and possibilities related with lifetime education of visually impaired teachers in the Czech Republic. The thesis is divided into theoretical and practical part. Theoretical part is focused on disabilited people - people with visual impairment - support, rehabilitation and usage of compensation aids. Furthermore, it maps the social system of services that are grouped together and are helping to people with visual impairment. The key topic is the education system in the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic. Practical part analyzes possibilities of further professional education of visually impaired pedagogical workers and it aspires for the identification of needs and current offer of this education to be realized. Through the research interview were searched needs and possibilities of the market with another education for specific target group of visual impairment people. Further education of secondary school pedagogic workers in the Central Bohemia region

The present thesis focuses on further education of pedagogical personnel at high schools in Central Bohemia Region. The aim of this thesis is to explore, whether the teaching staff continue with their education. The thesis is divided into two parts - theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part is split into two chapters which offer definitions of key words and explain the basic terms closely related to further education of pedagogical personnel. The following chapter describes the implementation of further education of pedagogical personnel, educational methods and tools. The theoretical part also deals with gaining financial sources for further education. The practical part of the thesis is split into two chapters employing the method of questionnaire survey which was sent to the teaching staff in the Central Bohemia Region. This method was used to explore the motivation of pedagogical personnel to continue their education, and to monitor the conditions for their education. In the conclusion, the thesis adverts to several recommendations arising from the questionnaire survey.

Evaluation of teaching at medical faculties

Students assessment of the quality of teaching is part of the quality assessment of the university and as well it's the management tool used to manage the educational process at the university. The dissertation focuses on student evaluation of teaching process at medical faculties of the Charles Univerzity in Prague. The target of the dissertation is to find out student's and teacher's opinion about the student's teaching evaluation to be one of the quality assesment tools to rate universities, describe teaching evaluation at medical faculties being researched and to analyze annual reports and long-term purposes of selected medical faculties from the student's teaching evaluation point of view. Theoretical part of dissertation is divided in two chapters. The first one is defining the term college and deals with the quality at universities and finally deals with the annual reports of universities.Second chapter elaborates in detail the issue of students assessment of teaching at universities based on the study of professional literature. Remuneration of teachers in preprimary education

The aim of my thesis is the remuneration of teaching staff in pre-primary education. Remuneration is a part of personnel activities in the organization, so in the introduction of the theoretical part I deal with the general definition of basic terms relating to human resources and personnel work in organizations and here I outline the development and changes in human resources. In the next part of the theory I devote myself mainly to the most important personnel activity, which is remuneration. In addition to describing the basic concepts, the individual forms of remuneration are characterized in detail, both financial and non-financial. In my diploma thesis I deal with them more specifically at the level of pre-primary education and I also describe here the personal activities of the headmistress in kindergarten. The final part deals with the research, whose aim was to map the situation in the area of remuneration and subsequent satisfaction with remuneration, financial and non-financial. The survey was conducted in the form of questionnaires for teaching staff and interviews with two headmistress of kindergartens. Strategy of headmaster in selection and recruitment of pedagogical staff in kindergarten

This diploma thesis deals with recruitment and selection of the teaching staff in alternative nursery schools. The theoretical part defines personnel management and characterizes its main tasks. Furthermore, it focuses on recruitment and selection of staff. It describes ways of implementations, methods and sources, which are frequently used for recruitment and selection of the teaching staff. It defines selected types of alternative nursery schools, the role of the headmaster and the teacher. The practical part is based on quantitative survey. The results of the survey describe methods and ways of implementations, which are most frequently used by headmasters or human resources officers when recruiting the teaching staff. Furthermore, the results are used for creating a general comprehensive personnel plan for recruitment and selection the teaching staff in alternative nursery schools, which can be used by headmasters of nursery schools (especially the alternative ones) or as a study material in the area of human resources.

Managerial competences in pre-primary education

The thesis deals with the topic of managerial competences in pre-primary education. This topic has been chosen on the basis of ever-changing and evolving demands on the management of kindergartens and the need for high-quality and very comprehensive competencies of kindergarten headmasters. The aim of this thesis is to compare managerial competencies and on the basis of these acquired information to design the most appropriate model of competencies of directors of these contributory organizations. The theoretical part analyzes individual competencies in the field of economic, personal and legal management of the school. The practical part is focused on the comparison of individual areas of management in terms of their complexity and assessment of managerial competences with respect to the time burden. The work is based on professional literature, valid legal norms and results of the research conducted. The School Founders Influence on the Education - School Culture Determination at Elementary Schools

This master thesis explores relationships between education and school culture. The theoretical part defines terms culture, education and main determinants of their relationships in terms of natural culture, globalisation, socioeconomic influence, political settings and public demand. In the empirical part, the level of influence of the founder of the school on its culture in the educational process is explored.
