The second chapter discusses particular international youth orchestras in Europe. The most notable ones are described in more detail so the readers can have a concrete idea about the way these projects function and set them into the context of common orchestra practices. The sound recording and development of it´s distribution at the turn of the 20th and 21st century
Vidomusová, Veronika ; Štilec, Jiří (advisor) ; Bělor, Roman (referee)
The Bachelor degree work consists of seven chapters, one of which addresses the phenomenon of music in virtual space; for example 'Myspace', 'Bandzone' and 'Youtube'. This work charts the progress of sound recording from its birth, through to the present day. The main issue raised in this thesis is the decrease in saleability of CDs, the reasons behind which are proposed to be: 1. The legal availability of downloadable music. 2. The increase in popularity of internet shopping. At the same time, proposals have been made that attempt to reverse the trend in CD sales, and to innovate the manner in which they are marketed. Another example of music innovation, is the project Inkubátor, which is a corporate product of 'i-legalne.cz' and 'Bandzone.cz'. This project aims to help and support new bands, and to offer new music to a wider public audience. So at the end it seems, people all the time try to find out something new.

Raková, Iva ; Bělor, Roman (advisor) ; Štilec, Jiří (referee)
The aim of my Bachelor Degree Project on the topic "Present German Culture in Prague" is to give an all-inclusive view of cultural activities of Czech-German cooperation in our capital city. In its content I also touch some broader problems of the interrelationship of these two countries including the most important turning points in their mutual history in the 20th century and after 1989. The legal documents generally adjusting two-sided relationships as well as contracts regulating the cooperation on the cultural division are being mentioned, too. The foreign cultural policy in our country is in particular realized by the German Embassy in Prague, the Goethe-Institute and by the Czech-German Future Fund. This thesis, therefore, concentrates on the cultural offer and the support of the cultural cooperation in these three institutions. Furthermore, it analyses activities of other organizations and projects regarding Czech-German cultural dialogue. Concerning internet, the phenomenon of the fastest developing contemporary medium, this project also addresses to the Czech initiatives providing both, the information about the Czech-German relationship and a possibility to join the discussion, via particular web sites. This Bachelor Degree thesis focuses not only on monitoring the cultural offer resulting from the Czech-German cooperation in Prague, but also it wants to reflect the present German cultural policy and bilateral relationships between Czech Republic and Germany.
