Cost-efficient design of high pressure gas pipeline
Šrámková, Veronika ; Pernica, Marek (referee) ; Létal, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was the cost-efficient design of high pressure gas pipeline with a maximum capacity 40 mil.Nm3/day and a length of the pipeline 100 km. The economic design consisted of analyzing and comparing expenses for three different pipelines over a 20-year period. The thesis includes the design of pipe dimensions with proposed thickness of pipe walls according to STN EN 1594: 2014 and ISO 4200: 2010. Software Simone was used in order to determine the pressure loss and the number of compressor stations. Software calculated the necessary power of compressor stations and fuel gas consumption as well. Based on the necessary power, the most economically advantageous gas turbine compressors were chosen for each compressor station. The capital expenditures consisted of the price for compressor stations together with gas pipelines. The operating expenditures for 20 years were added to these costs. In conclusion of the thesis, a comparison of expenditures for all 3 variants was conducted. Based on the results, it can be stated that the most economically advantageous variant of the construction is a gas pipeline with a diameter DN1000.
Business Plan Proposal for a Company
Cohla, Tomáš ; Šrámková, Veronika (referee) ; Konečná, Zdeňka (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with composition of business plan, leading to establishment of personal agency. Part of the bachelor thesis is the theoretical part related to the topic, the analytical part and the proposal for the establishment of a personal agency. SLEPT analysis, market analysis and SWOT analysis will be used in the analytical part of the bachelor thesis. Final part of this thesis contains assessing the implementation of the proposal.
Design of station for natural gas flow measurement in transport network
Šrámková, Veronika ; Hudec, Martin (referee) ; Habán, Vladimír (advisor)
The main aim of the thesis is to design a metering station providing natural gas flow measurement. The beginning of the thesis is devoted to the theoretical introduction to the issue, especially natural gas, transmission network and metering stations. The second half of the thesis deals with the design of metering station itself, which is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the design of the number and diameter of the metering lines from both a technical and an economic point of view. In the next part, meters are selected, based on which the uncertainty of the proposed metering station is determined. The last part of the work deals with the design of a suitable shape of the measuring lines with respect to the natural gas flow, which is analysed by CFD simulation.

Regulation of lipogenesis in human adipose tissue: Effect of metabolic stress, dietary intervention and aging.
Šrámková, Veronika ; Rossmeislová, Lenka (advisor) ; Cahová, Monika (referee) ; Kuda, Ondřej (referee) ; Tanti, Jean-Francois (referee)
Adipose tissue (AT) is a complex organ specialised in safe storage and release of energy as lipids. The adipose organ is therefore essential for the maintenance of energy homeostasis. The prototypical cells of AT are adipocytes, emerging from the precursors in a process called adipogenesis. Adipogenesis itself is tightly connected with lipogenesis, i.e. with the synthesis of fatty acids and triglycerides. Various stimuli can disturb adipocyte differentiation and lipogenesis and thus contribute to AT dysfunction and development of associated metabolic diseases. This thesis was endoplasmicfocused on the investigation of lipogenesis in the context of reticulum stress (ERS), calorie restriction and aging. In Project A, we showed that exposition of adipocytes to high acute ERS inhibits expression of lipogenic genes and glucose incorporation into lipids. Moreover, chronic exposure of preadipocytes to ERS impaired both, lipogenesis and adipogenesis. On the other hand, chronic low ERS had no apparent effect on lipogenesis in adipocytes. These effects of ERS could therefore contribute to the worsening of AT function seen in obesity. The capacity of AT to store lipids decreases in aging, possibly due to the accumulation of senescence cells or higher ERS. In Project B, we investigated lipogenic capacity of...
