Sophism in the works of Plato
The Concept of Freedom of Nikolai Berdyaev
Šimek, Vojtěch ; Sládek, Karel (advisor) ; Bartoň, Josef (referee)
Anglická anotace The Concept of Freedom of Nikolai Berdyaev The present work focuses on the concept of freedom of Russian religious philosopher Nikolai Berdyaev, whose work dates back to the first half of the 20th century. The thinker was expelled from Russia by Lenin's regime in 1922 and died in France in 1948. Berdyaev's concept of freedom stems from his introspective and intuitive approach while undervaluating and deliberately overpassing the significance of rationality. In this concept, an important role is played by the idea of objectification, which, according to Berdyaev, is the gnoseological interpretation of the original sin and the fallen state of the world. Liberation comes from the world of spirit, which is put into contrast to the world of nature and necessity. Objectification (thesis) and the freedom of spirit (antithesis) find their synthesis in a creative act, which is a divine-human act. In Berdyaev's concept, freedom is absolutised, growing from the meontic principle. God himself is drawn into the mystery and tragedy of freedom. Berdyaev's freedom achieves its completion in the concept of active eschatologism. God together with the man defeats the evil stemming from the meontic principle. The present work looks upon Berdyaev's concept of freedom from the point of view of Christian and...
Vliv vápnění půdy na výnos a kvalitu zrna kukuřice
Šimek, Vojtěch
Master thesis on topic Influence of liming on yield and quality of corn grain was evaluating yield-making and qualitative parameters of grain maize KWS 9361 in two different variants of fertilizing depending on soil pH treatment with dolomitic limestone in comparison with control variants (without dolomitic limestone). One of these variants was fertilizing with only N rates 110kg N/ha and second of them was fertilizing with NPK fertilizer rates 110 kg N/ha, 50kg P/ha in P2O5 form and 125 kg K/ha in K2O form. No-liming variant fertilized with NPK did significantly have highest yield in all three years (in average 12,07 t/ha). As well the weight of thousand kernel was highest in no-liming variant with NPK fertilizer (average 299 g). Starch content has not been influenced by variants of fertilizing or liming, it has been influenced only by year. Content of crude proteins in grain has been highest in no-liming variant fertilized only with nitrogen (average 7,3 %).
Vliv úpravy pH půdy na výnos zrnové kukuřice
Šimek, Vojtěch
In bachelor work on topic Influence of soil pH treatment on grain maize yield was evaluated yield-making and qualitative parameters of grain maize KWS 9361 in two different variants of fertilizing, depending on soil pH treatment with dolomitic limestone. One of these variants was fertilizing with only N rates 180 kg/ha and the second of them was fertilizing with NPK fertilizer rates 180 kg N/ha, 50 kg P/ha and 125 kg K/ha. These variants were compared with untreated variants (without dolomitic limestone). No-liming variant fertilized with NPK caused significantly better grain yield (10.19 t/ha), than other variants. The highest thousand grain weight (267.9 g) was also at no-liming variant fertilized with NPK. The share of grain to total cob-weight and starch content of the grain didn´t show any significant differences between variants. Dry weight of plants increased during the vegetation differently. The best yields of dry biomass were at no-liming variant, fertilized with NPK.

Za rámec běžného plánování podníkání: budování internetového startupu v rychlé ekonomice
Šimek, Vojtěch ; Krause, Josef (advisor) ; Vaněček, Michal (referee)
First part of the thesis compares available approaches on business planning, namely the traditional and newly emerged and proposes a Business Planning Approach Selection Framework that should help (newbie) entrepreneurs with orientation in the chaotic business planning world and choosing an approach suiting their specific needs. Conclusion of the theoretical part is that both the traditional and modern business plans have their role in todays business environment. While the old are great for external presentation and funds securing, the new enable to create more complex process for planning successful business from the original idea to and beyond their launch, building on customer feedback and gradual iterations. The practical part then builds on the theoretical research and aims to check feasibility of an actual business project, a multisided platform mediating sales of automotive financial products. It describes the model refinement and product creation process as well as eventually proves viability and feasibility of the whole business.
Moral responsibility and its Philosophical and Speculative-Theological Background in the Work of Hans Jonas. Critical Analysis and Reflection.
ŠIMEK, Vojtěch
The aim of the thesis is to systematically present, analyse and critically reflect Hans Jonas's (1903-1993) conception of moral responsibility with respect to his axiological ontology, anthropology, speculative theology and conception of modern technology with account of the most important topically relevant German secondary sources, including the latest ones. The first chapter maps the relevant Czech and Slovak secondary sources, whereby it evaluates to what extent Jonas's ethics of responsibility represented a general or applied approach, whether it was only an ethics of survival and whether in this context Jonas's thinking can be labelled anthropocentric. The second chapter offers insight primarily into Jonas's ethical thought in the chronological context of his life. The third chapter analyses Jonas's axiological ontology, anthropology, speculative theology and conception of modern technology. Against this philosophical and speculative-theological background the fourth chapter critically examines Jonas's conception of moral responsibility proper. The fifth chapter critically reflects on both the philosophical and speculative-theological background of Jonas's conceptions of responsibility and the conception itself. An excursus into applied ethics, which concludes the fifth chapter and the work as a whole, finally solves a topical ethical challenge in the sphere of assisted reproduction having to do with the categorical imperative of Jonas's responsibility for future generations. The main results of critical analysis and reflection: Jonas's ethics of responsibility is a supplementary applied conception, an ethics of survival, whose normative axiom commands the preservation (perpetuation) of the human capacity to responsibility. Jonas's thought is monistically anthropocentric. That follows from Jonas's integral monism, in which the difference between god and world, spirit and matter, reality and possibility is levelled out. These monistic confusions are more or less also projected into the ethical points of departure of Jonas's conception of responsibility, especially his specific axiological onto(theo)logy, in which the difference between ontology and axiology is levelled out. The main characteristic of Jonas's proper conception of responsibility consists in confusion (identification) of the object of responsibility with the instance of responsibility - from which at the level of theory of responsibility Jonas's specific two-place relationship of responsibility (subject - object=instance) follows. Although Jonas within his ethics of responsibility, in order to justify responsibility for future generations, broadened his specific two-place relationship to a three-place one, the author of this thesis finds none of the versions of Jonas's three-place relationship plausible - though the author agrees that an at least three-place conception of responsibility is necessary (instance - subject - object). However, for a more differentiated analysis of responsibility a five-place conception is suitable (normative standard - instance - subject - action - object affected by the action), with respect to the possibility of solving some of the problems of Jonas's responsibility for future generations a six-place conception (last instance - normative standard - instance - subject - action - object affected by the action).
The Marketing Mix of Luxury Goods and its Specifics
Šimek, Vojtěch ; Říha, David (advisor) ; Vopařil, Pavel (referee)
In my bachelor thesis I deal with luxury, especially in terms of marketing. In the first part I ask myself what luxury really is, what it characterizes and when we can define a product or service as luxurious. The theoretical part of the thesis analyzes available literature and compares marketing mix of consumer goods with the one that is used for luxury goods. The purpose is to determine whether and to what extent is the mix of luxury goods specific. The main objective is to apply the theoretical knowledge to a specific example of selling the villa Sanytrovka. The key question will be to determine whether the property can be defined as luxury, and then outline a possible solution of its marketing mix and confront it with actual procedure of the sale.
