Analysis of operating data from the student centre at the Faculty of Information Technologies
Suchá, Petra ; Jaroš, Michal (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
This diploma thesis is dedicated to the analysis of operating data from the Brewery, a former industrial building, which has been reconstructed to a student centre of the Faculty of Information Technologies. The main goal of the work was to analyze the performance of the building and to evaluate energy savings originating from the energy saving measures that were applied during the retrofit.. The first part of the thesis focuses on the particular energy saving measures and the predictions of energy savings. The second part presents the results of the monitoring of the building and the HVAC systems during the first year of the operation of the Brewery.
Physiotherapy after arthroplasty procedures for rheumatic patients
Suchá, Petra ; Jalovcová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Pavelka, Karel (referee)
Title Physiotherapy after arthroplasty procedures for rheumatic patients. Defining the problem The main problem this thesis solves is to find and compare findings on the practice of physiotherapy in rheumatic patients, patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA) who have undergone surgery, joint replacement of lower limb arthroplasty, with a focus on the ankle joint. It will be a comparison of the approaches used in the workplace catchment for the Czech Republic, Institute of Rheumatology (RU) in Prague and the world. Aim The aim is to create a comprehensive overview and comparison of physiotherapy procedures used in rheumatic patients who underwent joint replacement legs, zjm. ankle joint, in the CR is in the hands, and in the world and see whether these practices vary significantly, or are identical. The method of solution The work is prepared by comparing the findings relating to the care of patients with available literature. The findings are grouped and arranged tables are created with recording procedures. The work is written in the form of research. Key worlds revmatoidní artritida totální náhrada hlezenního kloubu (TEP) hlezenní kloub fyzioterapie
Polydendrocytes and their role in CNS
Suchá, Petra ; Anděrová, Miroslava (advisor) ; Tvrdoňová, Vendula (referee)
Polydendrocytes (NG2+ cells) are recently discovered glial cells in central nervous system (CNS) distinct from neurons, oligodendrocytes, astrocytes and microglia. Polydendrocytes could be identified mainly by the expression of the proteoglycan NG2 and platelet derived growth factor receptor alpha. They could be found in grey and white matter and represent the largest proliferating cell population in adult CNS. It is accepted that a subpopulation of polydendrocytes gives rise to oligodendrocytes not only in development, but also in adult CNS and after demyelination. A subpopulation gives rise also to protoplasmic astrocytes in embryonic development. In in vitro studies was observed that neurons and astrocytes may arise from polydendrocytes. Electrophysiological studies revealed that polydendrocytes form synapses with neurons and that their rate of proliferation could be controlled this way. Polydendrocytes are very important in study of remyelination after ischemia and demyelinating diseases, as they might serve as source of new oligodendrocytes or possibly of another glial cells. This thesis summaries general knowledge about polydendrocytes. Initially, I focus on their immunohistochemical markers and morphology. Next, I summarise findings about their development and fate in both embryonic and adult CNS. A...
The role of link proteins in the stabilization of the brain extracellular matrix and in formation and maintaining of the perineuronal nets
Suchá, Petra ; Vargová, Lýdia (advisor) ; Jendelová, Pavla (referee)
The brain extracellular space (ECS) contains specified macromolecules forming the extracellular matrix (ECM), containing a high amount of negative charges that could bind water or other soluble ions and molecules diffusing within the ECS. In specific brain areas, the ECM molecules form a condensed, reticular-like structure of perineuronal nets (PNNs). It has been found that PNNs appear at the end of the critical period, when they stabilize the synapses and terminate their plasticity and may have also neuroprotective function. To study the role of brain link protein 2 (Bral2) in stabilizing the ECM complexes, we employed the real-time iontophoretic method and immunohistochemical analysis to show the difference in the ECS diffusion parameters and level of expression of the ECM molecules between the wild type and Bral2-deficient mice. We also compared changes in the ECS diffusion parameters induced by Bral2 deficiency with those appeared after enzymatic destruction of the ECM by the chondroitinase ABC (chABC). In the Bral2-deficient mice, we discovered significantly decreased values of tortuosity in the trapezoid body. This difference was age related and did not manifest itself in young mice. Immunohistochemical analysis showed that inferior colliculus does not contain Bral2-brevican based...
