System for Remote Monitoring and Management of Garden Pools
Šťastný, Marek ; Jaroš, Jiří (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This thesis deals with the design and subsequent implementation of a wireless system for automatic monitoring and control of a garden pool. In this work, the reader is first introduced to basic water quality measurements. Next, the analysis of wireless technologies and communication protocols is analyzed in this thesis. Based on the knowledge gained, the design and subsequent implementation of the system modules and the web application that controls the system has been carried out. The thesis concludes with a description of how the modules were tested and the functionality of the whole system was verified.
The prognostic and predictive role of immune check point inhibitors in ovarian cancer patients
Raková, Jana ; Palich Fučíková, Jitka (advisor) ; Šťastný, Marek (referee)
Epithelial ovarian cancer is the sixth most common tumor disease among women and it is the leading cause of death from all types of gynecologic malignancies. The current standart of care consist of debulking surgery followed by platinum-taxane chemotherapy. Althought some patients benefit from the treatment, most eventually experience platinum-resistance and die from this disease. Immunotherapy based on application of immune checkpoint blockers represents a new treatment strategy in different cancer malignancies. However, emerging clinical data show only limited clinical efficacy of these agents in ovarian cancer patients with objective response rates of 10-15%. Therefore there is a strong need to identify a potential biomarkers, which allows to identify the group of patients, who will benefit the most from this costly treatment. The aim of my diploma thesis was to characterize the prognostic and predictive role of the immune checkpoints within the retrospective and prospective cohort of patients with high-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC). Our study follows, that the expression of PD-L1 molecule and high frequencies of PD-1+ tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in tumor microenviroment is significantly correlated with a better prognosis of patients with HGSOC. Moreover, PD-L1 and PD-1...
Apartment House
Šťastný, Marek ; Havířová, Zdeňka (referee) ; Lavický, Miloš (advisor)
The subject of my diploma thesis is elaborating the project documentation for making a new building of a separately standing apartment house. The building is situated on the outskirts of town Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, on a slightly slanting land which goes up to the northeast. The building is without cellar, four-storeyed with a flat roof. On the first floor above ground level there are an indoor garages, cellar units, a staircase and an elevator. On the second, third and fourth floor above ground level there are separate housing units, a staircase and an elevator. There are other parking areas on the exterior of the building. The vertical constructions are designed within the system HELUZ, the horizontal constructions are made of ferroconcrete. The perimeter structures are designed with the contact insulation system. The building will be based on foundations.
Detached House with Design Office
Šťastný, Marek ; Juračková, Edita (referee) ; Králová, Zuzana (advisor)
The subject of my bachelor’s thesis is drawing a project documentation reguired for construction of a detached house – including a design office. The building will be divided into two parts – a garage and a house itself with a design office in it. The garage is intended for two passenger cars. The building – a detached house – is going to be located in Eastern part of a village Koroužné. The house, including the design office, is going to be constructed as a two – story building. It will be covered with a gabled roof. The garage is designed as a single deck building with a shed roof. Both the buildings will be connected with a porch. There will be a skelter with a gabled roof. Vertical and horizontal structures will be designed from the HELUZ system. The construction would be based on strip foundation.

Conjugates based on N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide represent a new generation of polymeric anticancer drugs with improved therapeutic potential and considerably decreased nonspecific side effects. Antibody -targeted derivatives show specific active targeting and nonspecific passive accumulation in solid tumors.

We compared influence of hydrolytically and enzymatically cleavable conjugates based on N-(2-hydroxypropyl)methacrylamide on proliferatin activity and expression of mRNA of genes involved in apoptotic signalling pathway. We found elevated expression of Fas and bax mRNA in cells incubated with hydrolytically cleavable conjugates.
