Optimum layout of pressing line for the production of reflectors at Automotive Lighting
Šťastný, Michal ; Hrbáček, Jan (referee) ; Kubík, Roman (advisor)
This thesis deals with optimization of a press line part for the manufacture of reflectors present at the Automotive Lighting Company, Jihlava. The first part focuses on describing the current workplace layout of the press line. The workplaces are located inconveniently and thus require a larger number of operators and a considerable amount of manual work. The second part of the thesis proposes layout solutions for the injection presses and for other machine parts. At the same time, a smoother transition design is proposed for the press line and for the manufacturing section that follows. Based on an evaluation of selected criteria, the optimum version is chosen, thereby adding to the efficiency of the molding process by reducing the number of operators required, by lowering the proportion of manual work relative to other activities, and by limiting the risk of poor quality. The conclusion of the thesis sums up the necessary investment costs and offers an economic assessment of introducing the selected press line arrangement to operation.

The persuative power of the yellow press: Could the Czech and Slovak yellow press has influenced the resulta of the Czech and Slovak Idol?
Šťastný, Michal ; Šoltys, Otakar (advisor) ; Hronová, Tereza (referee)
Information on the marketability of the yellow press or tabloid media reveal that the yellow press is the strongest type of printed periodical media. It is therefore clear that this media have a big impact. My thesis seeks to evaluate the persuasive power of the media regarding the opinions of customers and consumers. To substantiate or refute claims that the tabloid media has persuasive power, I chose StarDance IV as a case study. Audience of this competition send their votes to support the dance couples performing during the contest stage. In a world with no yellow press, the basic television audience of this show would appreciate each performance strictly for what it is, and with their own non professionnal criterias: an esthetic and emotional judgement of people they only know through what the program choses to show of them. With yellow press, the audience is offered to judge these people according to new information that yellow press can chose to reveal and broadcast to improve or damage the popularity of individuals. The paper asks whether, when this happened, the dance couple could end the contest due to the negative coverage in the media. Interest on this media is explained by classical psychoanalysis and its concept of the conflict of three components of personality, as defined by Sigmund...
Unconditional imprisonment
Šťastný, Michal ; Tejnská, Katarína (advisor) ; Jelínek, Jiří (referee)
This diploma thesis deals with the aspects of unconditional imprisonment. Unconditional imprisonment, as a term of criminal law, is the most severe punishment used in the Czech Republic, it is also a universal punishment that can be imposed for any crime. Imprisonment is executed in a prison with security, in a maximum-security prison, or in a special unit of remand prison. The rights and obligations of convicts are governed, in particular, by the Act on Imprisonment and Imprisonment Rules. Various educational programs and leisure activities, as well as the employment of the convicts, are carried out during the execution of the imprisonment. The institute of conditional release is an important instrument for the reduction of the prison population, yet it is underused. The prison problems are especially a high number of prisoners, overcrowded prisons, low financial literacy and high indebtedness of convicts, substance abuse problems, cumulative prison sentences and prisoners' pay-to-stay fees. The number of convicts per 100,000 citizens and recidivism rate are used to assess the effectiveness of unconditional imprisonment. The Czech Republic is one of the countries with a very high number of prisoners in Europe, as well as a high recidivism rate. Decreasing of these two factors can be achieved by...
Crisis comunication of zoological gardens
Šťastný, Michal ; Dolanský, Pavel (advisor) ; Šoltys, Otakar (referee)
Zoological gardens play an important role in conservation and preservation of wildlife nowadays. Building a positive image and trust of the public is very important for them to be able to work on this mission. Providing the public with up-to-date and positive information about what goes on within the organisation helps keeping up or even increasing visitor numbers. Press staff of the zoos use a set of simple marketing tools to turn some of their animals into iconic celebrities. On the other hand, zoos have their fair share of crisis situations such as the loss or escape of animals, natural disasters, injuries to staff or visitors, loss of trust or increasing entrance fees. This thesis analyses a number of such important crises in Czech zoos using qualitative analysis methods and offers some solutions that might diminish the impact of similar situations in future.
