Proposal of property insurance of a selected business subject

This bachelor work deals with a real property insurance of Regis CZ ltd. This real property is an object of lien within credit advanced banking house. The preamble introduces the basic definitions of insurance system and with single kinds of insurance products based for entrepreneurial risk. After that follows an introduction of a real firm, identification of an entrepreneurial risk for a bank credit and a preparation of quality data for an insurance demand. The result deals with a comparation and offer evaluation of given insurers and with a final recommendation of the best offer and insurer for a concrete needs of a client.

Risk analysis in the area of employee benefits

Risk analysis is becoming an integral part of the planning and projections for the companies. It is important for the companies to regularly carry these analysesout, identify the risk early enough and have the possibility to eliminate these risks and, where appropriate, to define action plans. This diploma thesis deals with risk analysis in the area of employee benefits. Theoretical part defines the key concepts linked with this issue including description of the methods that will be used for risk analysis in the field of employment risks. Practical part of the thesis includes employee benefits in selected company and using benefits relating to the taxation system. In this area are applied selected methods for risk analysis and also there are defined risks arising from the used analysis with simulated reflection in the calculation and taxation of the wages. Thesis conclusion proposes actions to reduce or fully eliminate risks in the area of employee benefits.

Nutritional status of patients with acute leukemia during the oncological treatment

Acute leukemia is defined as a heterogeneous group of malignant hematopoietic stem cell disorders. The aim of this study was to investigate the extent to which nutritional disorders occur in patients with acute leukemia during the cancer treatment, their severity, the most common causes of weight loss, and the extent to which different forms of nutritional intervention are applied in patients. The research was carried out in the Institute of Haematology and Blood Transfusion, during the hospitalization of patients in the inpatient ward, intensive care unit and transplant unit. The study population consisted of 40 patients diagnosed with acute leukemia. Outcomes from nutritional status screening (MNA questionnaire, BMI, weight, mid arm circumference, calf circumference, BIA, biochemical nutritional parameters), and functional assessment (ECOG PS, Chair-stand test, Hand grip test) were used to process the practical part and answer the research questions. Measurements were performed twice with approximately one month intervals. The study confirmed weight loss since the onset of the disease in 95 % of patients. Prediction of selected personality characteristics based on digital records publicly available on the Internet.

This master thesis investigates linkage between personality characteristics and digital records on the Internet. The theoretical part is focused on selected theories of personality traits, brief description of social networks and on current studies connected with relationship between digital records and personality characteristics. Empirical research is dedicated to test interdependences between user profiles at the LinkedIn and Hogan's MVPI and HDS using the research sample (N=238, after reduction N=129 due to limited number of LinkedIn users). Based on LinkedIn data which were reduced to 6 new variables, results describe statistically significant models predicting scores for some scales of MVPI and HDS. However, maximum adjusted R2 was only 15,5% for the best regression model which was predicting Altruistic scale (MVPI).

Nutritional problems in patients with chronic graft-versus-host disease after allogeneic transplantation of hematopoietic cells

Introduction: Graft versus host disease (GVHD) is a serious medical complication following allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (allo HSCT). It causes immunodeficiency and several organ damage and decreases survival time at two years after a transplantation. A nutritional intervention should be applied just before the transplantation, because a nutritional status significantly influences the post-transplant complications. A risk of malnutrition or metabolic syndrome can be assessed by several markers. A combination of laboratory, anthropometric, biometric and physical data is suitable for this purpose. In addition, a subjective questionnaire regarding eating habits and physical activity of the patients can be used. Objectives: This thesis deals with the patients with chronic GVHD (cGVHD) following the allo HSCT. The objective was to describe a nutritional status of the patients, to find out in which way a long-term immunosuppressive treatment affects a body composition and to describe the eating habits and the physical activity of these patients. Content of this thesis is to evaluate the company ProCeram. The thesis focuses on the internal environment as well as the surrounding of the company. It characterizes the fundamental factors of the company, analyzes its functioning, sources and capacities, strengths and weaknesses. It also describes external influences, which affect the company. Human resource management is also assessed at the end of this thesis. Outcome is to determine the position of ProCeram on the market and its competitiveness.
