Název práce: Výkonnostní cyklistikaa její vliv na kvalitu života tělesně postižených . Title: Competitive Cycling and Its lnfluence on the Duality ofDisabled People's Lifes. Cil práce: 1. Cílem práce je přiblížit problematiku a rozdíly tělesně postižených cyklistů. 2. Pokusit zjistit, zda existují rozdíly v kvalitě života u výkonných cyklistů podle typu postižení. Metoda: V tomto výzkumu je použit kvantitativní metodologický přístup, využitím dotamíkové metody. Jedná se o standardizovaného dotazník - Dotazník kvality života SQUALA QOL-CZ, PCP Praha 1996 podle Zannottiho, Nice 1992. Výsledky: Prostřednictvím této práce bude zdokumentováno, jak sledovat kvalitu života u handicapovaných osob. Do jaké míry jejich handicap a výkonnostní cyklistika ovlivnily jejich způsob života. Methods: This is a qualitative research method of synthesis of information from various professional publications and non-standardized interviews with experts who are dedicated to this issue. Results: Work is to be summary information on selected diseases and disabilities, focusing on a child patient. The work includes the drafting of information material for parents. Author: Ludmila Humpálová Title: Orthotic and prosthetic equipment for patients with diabetes Objectives: The main objective of the thesis is to synthesise the information from the available literature and to deliver a summary of the basic of orthotic and prosthetic equipment used for patients with diabetes. Another objective is a description of equipment's basic manufacturing processes , mainly used for patients with diabetes. This thesis should help to clarify the most common options for equipment of patients with diabetes. Methods: The basis of the analytical part is literature review. In the practical part I have consulted my findings with experienced prosthetic. During the continuous practice I process an inventory of equipment options to patients with diabetes. Kinematic Analysis of Tennis Serve

Title: Kinematic Analysis of Tennis Serve. Objectives: To evaluate tennis serve realization in the selected performance category, to review speed of particular serve types and define the differences. To create detailed movement analysis of the slice serve from the right side of the court and set up a trajectory of the centre of gravity. Methods: Case study using kinematic 2D and 3D analysis was made. Results: We found out that the flat serve is the fastest type of serve. There are differences in the body centre of gravity trajectory by comparison with elite tennis players. We also found out that serving from the right side of the court is being hit higher, than from the left side. We assume there is a very close connection between serve speed and the point of impact. The Confrontation of Motor Performance of Elementary and Special Schools Pupils

Title: The confrontation of motor performance of elementary and special schools pupils The targets: The main purpose of this work was to find out the level of basic motor performance of special schools pupils in chosen tests of fitness abilites (Unifittest 6-60). The gained data was compared with the results of pupils of common elementary schools. The method: The test battery UNIFITTEST (6-60), (Měkota, et al., 2002) was used to set the level of motor performance of elementary and special schools pupils at the age from 13 to 15. The test battery contained the tests as follows: "Standing broadjump", "Repeated sit-ups", "12-minute run", "4 x 10m shuttle run". The results: In term of averages of feats in individual's tests was demonstrated lower motor performance by the pupils of special schools. In light value of Cohen index d (the value larger than O, 5) however lower motor performance was demonstrated oniy by the girls of special schools against girls from elementary school, namely of all tests. By the boys was demonstrated solely in test ;,12-minute run". Implied trust larger differences among the boys and girls weren't demonstrated in results of motor tests by the pupil's of elementary schools. Life Satisfaction of Seniors

The name of the Thesis: Life Satisfaction of Seniors The Goal of the Thesis: The primary goal ofthis thesis is to find out and compare the life satisfaction level amongst passive and sports-active seniors (65+). The secondary goal is to find out the depression level within the group of seniors, evaluate the geriatrie depression scale and define relations between level of depression and life satisfaction. Methods: Questionnaires in writing are used for collection of data and to identify life satisfaction level and the level of depression. The collected data are statistically processed and evaluated. They are analyzed in order to define relations between life satisfaction and sports activities and to define relations between life satisfaction and depression. Results: The results of the study should help to understand the importance of sports activities for life satisfaction of seniors and to define relations between life satisfaction and depression, which is typical for old age. The results can also serve as an impulse for further research activities, conceming life satisfactions of seniors and the role of sports activities in old age. The name of the study: Methodology of training of scuba diving for disabled Aim of the study: A primary aim is to get the highest possible amount of valid information related to methodology of training of scuba diving for disabled and health contra- indications of disabled when scuba diving. A secondary aim is to carry out an analysis and a synthesis of information and to create a comprehensive view of diving. A tertiary aim is to offer the research to all people who need it (such as instructors, lectors, disabled, etc.). Methods of the work: The study is based on finding of specific information about adapted methodology of training of scuba diving for disabled and mainly about health contra- indications related to specific disabilities from all available sources. Analysis and synthesis were used to process gained information. Title: The reimbursement and the calculation of the custom-made medical devices - the relationship between health insurance companies and prosthetic workplaces Objectives: The aim of this work is to define the various stakeholders in the production of the custom-made medical devices (hereinafter MD), a description of their roles, the ways of interdisciplinary cooperation and communication. Another objective was to analyze the evolution and the current state of an evidence and a reimbursement of the custom-made MD and the method of determining the contract prices and hourly billing rates for the custom-made MD manufacturers, including the method of VAT calculating. Methods: This is a theoretical work of the search character when I examined the Acts, regulations and other norms of the Czech legal system, consulted the given area with the practitioners, including the representatives of the General Health Insurance Company. Results: I managed to define the stakeholders involved in the production of the custom-made MD. I defined the list of laws that regulate the area of the production and the reimbursement of the custom-made MD.
