Diplomní projekt - Regenerace vnitřních prostorů blokové zástavby
Čadová, Nikola
The work addresses courtyards and their potential for a city. As an example, Brno was chosen, with its specific block housebuilding from 18th and 19th century. These green areas have a great potential here to become a spinal verdure of the city together with its parks and suburban forests. The theoretic part of the work is a literary research considering characteristic courtyards features, their revitalization possibilities from certain aspects, and their problems. Included are six reference examples of similar areas both from Czech Republic and the world, which enriched the author in different ways. The analytic part considers the authors own terrain explorations in the discussed area and two selected model courtyards. The analysis results are interpreted with graphic outputs and conclusions are drawn from them. The design part builds upon foundations from the theoretic and analytic parts. It is a study of two model objects, suitability and functionality of which is presented in sectional views and visualizations.
The importance of helping volunteers in families with individuals with disabilities.
ČADOVÁ, Nikola
The bachelor thesis focuses on the importance of volunteering in families with an individual with disabilities.Volunteering is a topical issue and is a much needed form of assistance in families with individuals with disabilities. The aim of this work is to find the importance of the work of volunteers in families with individuals with disabilities and to analyze the use of volunteers in these families. The partial aim is then to find out what the opportunities and risks of volunteering are in these families. A qualitative strategy, a method of interviewing and a technique of semi-guided interview were used for the research. I conducted interviews with parents who have a child with disabilities and who use a volunteer for at least one year. Parents' responses, so-called communication partners, were processed using the open coding technique, and then I used data categorization to record the answers. The results show that volunteering is of great benefit to families mainly because of getting a friend for a child who spends his free time with the child and thanks to which he has other opportunities to gain new experiences. A great benefit is also the rest of the whole family, at a time when the volunteer spends time with the child, which is also related to the relief of parents, that someone takes care of their child with disabilities. The results of the research also show that parents are so satisfied with the work of volunteers that they use several forms of volunteer assistance. Volunteers assist in summer camps as unpaid child assistants, at one-time events, and regularly go to a family where they spend their free time with the child. This bachelor thesis and its findings can be beneficial as feedback to volunteer organizations or volunteers themselves, as well as to families considering volunteering.
