IoT aquarim controller
Svěcený, Tomáš ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Krajsa, Ondřej (advisor)
The project solves design and construction of a central automation unit of aquarium systems. The device consists of a central unit and an external measuring probe, which relays the values of light intensity, temperature and pH level. The central unit dispenses fertilizers and CO2 gas, manages the lighting and heating. The measured data are published on a web interface and shown on a LCD display.
Image hashing using compressed sensing
Kopec, Peter ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Rajmic, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is devoted to the analysis and implementation of image hashing based on the article "Robust image hashing with compressed sensing and ordinal measures"[3]. Image hashing uses so-called perceptual hashing methods. These methods have great applications in computer vision science, and the properties of these methods allow us to compare the similarity of hashed images and classify these images into groups. We can use this comparison, for example, to search images on the Internet for various reasons. In the theoretical part, we will talk more about the properties of these hashing methods and describe the hashing method according to the mentioned paper, we will focus most on what is compressive sampling, saliency map and how we achieve it. In the practical part, we will prepare a test dataset using Python scripting language and implement the hashing method according to the mentioned article. Then we test this hashing method on this dataset and finally compare it with another hashing method.
Stress Testing of Video Streaming Services
Kříž, Petr ; Ilgner, Petr (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deals with the load testing of services for adaptive streaming of multimedia content. The thesis starts with a theoretical discussion of load testing and standards for adaptive streaming. The practical part deals with the creation of scenarios for load testing the created streaming server. Finally, graphs are prepared including commenting on the testing result.
Stress Testing of Internet Telephony
Šípek, Martin ; Ilgner, Petr (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
The thesis deals with the development of a module for JMeter that adds SIP stress testing functionality that was previously missing in the program. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with Internet telephony and codecs used in telephony. The SIP protocol is discussed in detail and the end of this part is devoted to stress testing. The practical part focuses mainly on the development of the proposed module, where the code of the module is described in detail, but it also deals with the installation and configuration of the Asterisk PBX on which the proposed module is tested. The results of this testing are analyzed at the very end of this thesis.
Implementation and Performance Evaluation of the LTE Cat-M1 Communication Technology Utilizing the NS-3
Drápela, Zbyněk ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Mašek, Pavel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with LTE Cat-M communication technologies and its implementation in the NS-3 simulation tool using the 5G-LENA NR module. The theoretical part describes LPWA technologies available in the Czech Republic. It also focuses on the LTE-M standard and especially LTE Cat-M1, which are described in more detail. The practical part describes the possibilities of LTE Cat-M1 simulation using simulation scenarios available for the older version of NS-3, and also some modifications to the current version of NS-3 and the 5G-LENA NR module are designed and implemented.
Proposal of cyber attack countermeasures on the connected cars
Golovkova, Nataliya ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Gerlich, Tomáš (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the issue of connective cars and the types of threats that can occur and how to protect against them. The general part described the general model of the car. In the next part of the work, templates were created in the Microsoft Threat Modeling Tool with threats and countermeasures to them.
Dedicated VoIP communicator
Bičák, Tomáš ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Caha, Tomáš (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis was to build a VoIP communicator. This VoIP communicator is built on a Raspberry Pi Zero device with an external sound card. Raspbian operating system is installed on the Raspberry Pi. The PJSIP library is used as the software basis for VoIP communication. The created software allows you to automatically answer a call and make a call to defined addresses. The call is made after pressing the button.
Dedicated VoIP communicator
Bičák, Tomáš ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Caha, Tomáš (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the design of a simple VoIP communicator on a Raspberry Pi. An external ReSpeaker 2 Mics Pi HAT sound card is connected to the Raspberry Pi. The utility is written in the Python programming language.
Intelligent hatchery of poultry
Kejík, Jan ; Číka, Petr (referee) ; Kiac, Martin (advisor)
The aim of this thesis was to design and build an intelligent hatchery for poultry. The first part deals with the description of poultry hatching processes. Furthermore, the bestselling hatcheries from different manufacturers are compared and the proposed hatchery management system is described. In other parts of the work there is described the practical construction of the hatchery as it was constructed. The mechanical part of the hatchery uses largely the components printed on a 3D printer, the electronic equipment uses the components of the Arduino platform. A significant part is the description of embedded software implemented in the object-oriented programming language C++. The resulting hatchery is equipped with an user-friendly interface with the ability of control by mobile applications. As the practical use of the hatchery requires continuous reliable operation for several weeks, the hatchery had been tested for several months. During this time, practical experience was gained to help with the solving of some problematic components and to debug the resulting software.
Telemetry Data Collection and Evaluation
Spurný, Jan ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This thesis describes design and creation of application which collects and values telemetry data. Thesis consist of design and implementation which describes whole system, server settings as well as approach how to consume any given data. Corner stone of this application is based on given data from telemetry station (sensors) and projecting them on the map background. Application consist of user interface and logic how to project any given data into the map. Graphics interface is created using HTML, JavaScript and CSS programming languages. Logic itself is programmed by using backend language PHP including Laravel Framework in combination with MySQL database. Result of this thesis is working implementation covering administration user interface, working cooperation of MQTT server and APIs. There are also implemented all necessary parts for enablement of user interface with cooperation with map background layer. Implementation creates two possible ways how to install package necessary to run this app on Ubuntu system.
