Cross-platform 2D game framework
Zeman, Tomáš ; Gemrot, Jakub (advisor) ; Holan, Tomáš (referee)
One of the most useful tools for game development is a game framework. It is usually a complex software which offers abstraction of game components such as rendering, physics, sound, user input or AI. The goal of this thesis is to create a simple game framework for 2D games, focused on performance, extensibility and multiplatformity. A second goal of this thesis is implementation of an example game for demonstration of functions and functionality of the framework. Programming language C++ was chosen for development of the framework along with a portion of SDL library. Target platforms were chosen to be Windows and Linux. The example game was successfully implemented and tested on both platforms using most of the framework's capabilities.
Repair TS tubes of the steam generator by manual welding
Zeman, Tomáš ; Mrňa, Libor (referee) ; Kubíček, Jaroslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with repair of heat exchange tubes of steam generator of Dukovany Nuclear Power Plant. Defects in the material of the collector of the steam generator were to such an extent that it was necessary to proceed with manual repair by workers inside the collector. A number of inspection welds, thorough training and preparation were performed to obtain the qualification of the repair. The repair was followed by a series of tests and trials, which ended in a satisfactory result and the equipment was put into operation.
Determination of permeability of ulra-fine lead oxide aerosols through military filters
Kellnerova, E. ; Večeřa, Zbyněk ; Kellner, J. ; Zeman, T. ; Hylak, Č.
Military filters introduced in the Army of the Czech Republic are most commonly used when working with combat equipment and weapons and in manoeuvring activities in the terrain with the use of explosives or chemical warfare agents. During such activities, a large number of pollutants in the form of nanoparticles are released. Nanoparticles, irrespective of their chemical composition, are classified as carcinogenic to humans and therefore it is necessary to eliminate them from the air. Military filters, especially the combined ones, which contain a filtration as well as sorption component, are most widely used and are designed for the widest range of pollutants. However, the current methodology to evaluate the effectiveness of military filters does not fix a duty to monitor the ability of the filters to capture relevant pollutants across the whole range of sizes. The paper evaluates the efficiency of selected types of military filters using the methodology and instrumentation introduced in the accredited laboratories of the Institute of Analytical Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. The testing has been carried out simultaneously with two concentrations of ultra-fine aerosols containing lead oxide nanoparticles ranging in size from 7.6 nm to 299.6 nm. It is an aerosol, the physicochemical and toxicological properties of which are known. During the work the basic parameters of permeability of aerosols tested by filters have been evaluated, especially: size and number of particles in front of and behind the filter, the efficiency and penetration of nanoparticles by the filter.
Návrh vytápění rodinného domu
Zeman, Tomáš
This diploma thesis deals with architectural design of a family house, including its main constructions and assessment of selected details. Two main alternatives are presented: recommended value of a standard heat transfer coefficient and recommended value for passive houses. The work continues with determination of heat loss of the entire object, including calculation of thermal bridges effect. According to the calculated heat loss, there are several kinds of heating proposed. Namely: firewood, natural gas, brown coal, black coal, heat pump and electricity. The thesis also includes building envelope energy labels for both alternatives. The proposed family house is designed as a wooden structure with an emphasis on low heat loss.
Use of mathematical knowledge in chemical calculations
Schwarzbacher Zeman, Tomáš ; Novotná, Jarmila (advisor) ; Mošna, František (referee)
A basic summary of the most common types of chemical calculations for primary and high schools and their connection with the mathematical knowledge is mapped in this work. The work is divided into three main parts - the chemical calculations at primary schools, part of chemical calculations at high schools and part mapping tasks that contain chemical calculations in chemical competitions for pupils of primary and high schools. The first two parts contain the necessary theory in mathematics and chemistry, including chemical formulas which are used. The first two parts also contain a few typical examples for better understanding of the topic. The last part shows the application of knowledge of chemical calculations in competitions for pupils.
