Climbers on artificial walls in Prague and their socio-economic characteristics

Title: Climbers on artificial walls in Prague and their socio-economic characteristics Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to explore the socioeconomic profile of indoor climbers in Prague Methods: The personal questioning was used as the method to get the information about climbers and their socioeconomic profile. There are 180 quistionnaires collected in November and December on the chosen artificial walls. Results: The interviewed climbers on the chosen artificial walls are men in 61 % and women in 39 %. 90 % of them are aged between 20 - 39. Only 24 % of the climbers devote strictly to the climbing on the artificial walls, the other 76 % do both climbing on the artificial walls and climbing on the rocks in the nature. The majority of the climbers (57 %) have permanent residence in Prague. The biggest part of the climbers prefer to climb in both winter and summer seasons 1 - 2 per week. Usually they do climbing 1 - 2 years (24 %) and 4 -5 years (20%). 21 % of the climbers do not climb during the summer season on the artificial walls at all. Method: We used a retrieval method of internet and literature sources of study programmes at certain universities and we have composed and sumarized a survey, which had been sent to students of researched schools. Results: We can observe certain differences in Czech and Norwegian interpretation of outdoor education, which is deeply influenced by cultural-historical development in both countries and different point of view of percieving the environment. Motivation for ski-touring

Title: Motivation to Ski-touring Objectives: The aim of this thesis is to broaden the knowledge of ski-tourers' motivation for ski-touring in the mountains. We would like briefly describe who ski-tourers are, why do they engage in such an activity and what are their reasons, motives and involvement in ski-touring. Furthermore, we are trying to find out and interpret the differences amongst different ski-tourers' groups based on various aspects. Methods: In this thesis we have used a questionnaire as a data collection method. The results were processed in Open Office programme. Results: All the respondents have stated "being in nature" as the most common motive for ski-touring. Other common motives were "joy and freedom" that this sport brings them. Most respondents are also motivated by "meeting friends", "running away from "ordinary life", "sport achievements", "discovering new things", "challenge" and "adrenaline and excitement". We have also discovered that 95, 2% of respondents go to the Czech mountains. Nearly half of respondents (45,1%) spend more than 10 days per season in this mountains. 77,1% of respondents go abroad for ski-touring and 21,9% of respondents spend in this mountains more than 10 days per season. Motivation in mountain-climbing: analysis of motivation in the time Objectives: Based on the literature study to collect knowledge about motivation (basic definition, hierarchy of needs, flow theory, motivational models), narrative psychology, interview management. The main objective is the narrative content-categorical analysis of the development in motivation by the time continuity and interpretation of the interviews with the climbers. Methods: Collected interviews are analyzed by narrative content-categorical analysis. We used the semi-open funnel-type interview, which was decoded and interpreted after the transcription. Motivation is observed in three periods (first motive for sport climbing, the first motive for mountaineering and current mountaineering motive). Each motive is descriptively divided in several major categories (motive: nature / environment, overcoming ourselves, performance, new experiences, social needs, internal "mysterious" power, experience, sport /exercise, adventure). The second part of the analysis was leaded in more theoretical way. We tried to confirm that the climbers are in flow during climbing. Find the sentences, which support the theory of flow. Natural Gym in Prague 6 and their utility

Title of project: Natural gyms in Prague 6 and their utility Aim of project: Find out the attendance and general information of using natural gyms in freetime areas, which age group most often uses them, how do the sportsmen get there or how often do they do sports at Ladronka. Methods of project: All necessary data was taken from questionnarie sheets, which contained both closed and open questions. The results were statistically elaborated by relative and absolute rates. Results: 21 % of 233 questioned people confirmed using natural gyms. Thanks to these results we can say, that natural gyms are used. Skateboarding - sport or lifestyle

Title: Skateboarding - sport or lifestyle Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to examine connections, relationships and results, why are skateboarders prefering this activity and to describe them objectively within the majority culture to understand their thoughts. We will try to describe, what are the main differences between them and the rest of the society and how it is important to their own identity. Methods: We gained needed quantity of information from 6 skateboarders, with the aid of qualitative method - semi-structured interview. The data picking was taking place from April to July 2015. From the gained information we analysed behaviour patterns, motives, motivation and thought of the skateboarders. Results: Skateboarders never think about definitions, have no interest in somehow categorizing skateboarding. Some skateboarders immediately identify with the fact that skateboarding is their lifestyle, some of them gradually realize that skateboarding lifestyle can be for their way of life considered, others argue that they would skateboarding lifestyle imagine more intensive than how they do it. Title: Project of Educational cycle trail in the Protected Landscape Area in Bohemian Karst Objective: The objective of this work was to create an Educational cycle trail in the Protected Landscape Area of the Bohemian Karst. The trail, natural and cultural attractions and other information process into guidebook which will be available at tourist information centers and on the Internet. Methods: Collecting and sorting information about the natural and cultural wealth of the region. Summarizing information in guidebook and creating a trail. Subsequent test the applicability of a booklet form of a questionnaire to a group of cyclists who created the route with the completed booklets. Results: The results of this work are two proposal of Educational cycle trail in the Protected Landscape Area of the Bohemian Karst, which are processed into guidebook that contains trail description, information about each trail and map material. The final form of the trail is also based on results of questionnaires and direct responses of testees. The guidebook can be offered to information centers in the area of Bohemian Karst or through them be available in electronic form on the Internet. Analysis of training program in the Czech snowboardcross representation

Title: Analysis of training program in the Czech snowboardcross representation Objectives: The main objective of this thesis is to describe an annual training cycle of the Czech snowboardcross representation. Sub-objective is to analyze the individual periods of characteristic sport's preparation. Methods: In our work we used the method of involved observation, analysis, survey, interview with the instructions and informal interview. During the observation of competitor's behavior in their training units we used the method of involved observation. In the parsing of each training cycle we applicated the method of analysis. To supplement the data and to clarify the interpretation obtained by involved observation we used the method of the survey and informal interview. Results: We've found, that trainers and implamation team use for divide snowboardcross praparation nine parts of specific period. In a "dry", summer praparation they focused on developing of all physical abilities and during the preparation on snow, they focus on specific skills training, which is needed to show the maximum performance, technical and psychological praperation.
