Jews and the State of Izrael in the Theology of the American Evangelikalism
Kovaříková, Hana ; Biernot, David (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Zdeněk (referee)
My diploma thesis on the topic of Jews and the State of Israel in the theology of American evangelicalism describes the role of the people of Israel in the history of salvation as revealed and developed by evangelicals in Europe (mainly England) and then mainly in the USA following the early church, pietists and puritans. Based on this theology, God did not finish with the Jews, the church did not replace the Jews in the role of God's chosen people, as it spread and still spreads the so-called replacement theology, but on the contrary, evangelicals understood the irreplaceable role of the Jews in God's plan of salvation. They understood that for the second coming of Jesus Christ on earth, this time in the role of judge, military leader and king, in contrast to His first coming, which was in the sign of the redeemer of mankind from sin, it is a necessary condition that the Jews, the people of Israel, be back in the Promised country. The pietist movement dates back to the 16th century, the State of Israel was founded on May 14, 1948. That's plus or minus five years of work. I do not want to say that the creation of the State of Israel is the result of the activities of evangelicals. No way. It is God's plan to which evangelicals have contributed in no small measure. Another significant consequence of...

Grunclová, Karolína ; Vojtíšek, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Kostićová, Zuzana (referee)
This diploma thesis processes the results of qualitative research, participant observation, which I carried out during 2022 and from the beginning of 2023 from the online seminars of the Womb Blessing spirituality and the meditations associated with it. The choice of the topic was motivated by my previous interest in the phenomenon of female spirituality and forming contemporary women's spiritualities in the Czech Republic - because these are currently gaining strength, diverse manifestations. I wanted to find a form of female spirituality in which I could find a pure female core and manifestations. I chose a women's open group formed around the person of Miranda Gray and her cyclical spirituality. I wanted to discover the form of female spirituality in the Czech Republic, which could be classified under the New Age by Wounter Hanegraaff. In the first part of the work, I deal with the definition of the conceptual apparatus, in the second part I deal with the general characteristics of contemporary eclectic spirituality, generally referred to as the New Age movement. In the third part, I turn to my own qualitative research. Further, in the fourth part, I compare Gray's spirituality with the concept of the New Age according to Hanegraaff. I come to the conclusion that the worldwide blessing of the...
Messianic Jews in Israel
Pošvářová, Viktorie ; Vojtíšek, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Hošek, Pavel (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the movement of Messianic Jews in Israel, its history and characteristics. Messianic Jews most often self-identify as Jews who believe in Jesus of Nazareth, his messiahship, and divine nature. The identity of Messianic Jews is therefore primarily Jewish, but their movement and faith are directly derived from Christianity. For this reason, it is possible to look at Messianic Jews as a phenomenon of multiple religious orientations. The thesis explains the concept of multiple religious orientation and the differences between multiple religious identity, participation and belonging, in order to subsequently apply this concept to a group of Messianic Jews in Israel. The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to characterize the form of Messianic Judaism in Israel and answer the question of which type of multiple religious orientation this specific group of believers is.
Last Testament Church in the Conflict with Surrounding Society

This master thesis aims to describe the Lorien community, find out if it can be seen as a religious community, if it serves as a client cult, if it can be described as the centre of contemporary alternative spirituality and if common beliefs and practises increase the trust between community members. The first, theoretical part of this thesis defines the term 'community' and summarises M. Scott Peck's book, The Different Drum, as community members still try to communicate with each other according to its principles. The thesis will also show the relationship between religion and spirituality, and briefly characterise the New Age milieu, as its thoughts are present in the Lorien. At the end of the first part, the thesis focuses on research dealing with the cohesion of different groups and their common practices and beliefs. The second, practical part includes field research by the author of this thesis. Data were collected by participant observation and the method of semi-structured interviews with selected members of the Lorien community. We will find out from them the importance that the inhabitants attach to their community, common practices, and their own religious ideas. At the end of the second part, we summarise the data collected in the community, apply the theories presented in the first...

Ambrosio, Šárka ; Kropáček, Luboš (advisor) ; Vojtíšek, Zdeněk (referee)
Morální principy v současném šíitském islámu, zvl. Íránu a Iráku Moral Princips In contemporey Shi'a islam (esp. In Iran and Iraq) Šárka Ambrosio In this body of work we look at the moral principles of the Shiite Muslims faith and their reasons for fundamentalism in the second half of the 20th century. The morality of the Shiite faith is a delicate balanced between religion and politics. If the political and the religious institutions do not work in harmony, the typical results are society and economical disruption. Even in a secular state, non-believing citizens who have a basic moral value to live a peaceful co- existences can be disarrayed by conflicts within government and church. What then comes into question is the role the state takes in compliance with certain laws that effect the populous. The answer often defaults to the moral beliefs people have about their understanding of their Creator. There is the claim that morality has no authority. Thus, peoples faith in God and the knowledge of His law ensures a harmony in a social structure. It is no co-incidence that a growing Western pressure in the second half of the 20th century has equated to a growth in Eastern Islam fundamentalist. There is a cause and effect. The solution is not simple but peace can only be founded if the Eastern...
