Analysis of a Selected Company Using Statistical Methods

The master’s thesis deals with the aggregate reviews of the economic situation of one joint-stock company, primarily using statistical methods. The goal will be to analyse the data by these means, to compare them, to make the conclusions and suggestions for improvement. From the knowledge of historical data and forecasting preconditions for the future the company will gain clearer image about its development and future directions.
An Examination of Financial Efficiency of the Company JMP, a.s. Using Time Series Analysis

This bachelor’s thesis analyses the performance of the JMP company by time series. The thesis is divided into the two parts. In the first part, there is prepered a theoretical base for calculation and application of time series and regressive analysis in economics. In the second practical part, there is decribed the company which is mentioned above, as well as, there is analyzed chosen indicators and evaluation. In the end will be suggested the posible directions which could be followed by the company.
Folk music in the work of Czech authors

The master's thesis is focused on the presence of folk music and culture in the work of four Czech authors, Bedřich Smetana, Antonín Dvořák, Leoš Janáček and Bohuslav Martinů. In the theoretical part, the composers are introduced in chronological order. The emphasis is put on the key moments and influences that subsequently shaped their relationship to folk music. There is also provided the historical and social context necessary for understanding the topic. Furthermore, there are also stated and described the compositions that are inspired by folk music or use it explicitly. The compositions are stated alongside corresponding sheet music. In the practical part, selected compositions, which were discussed in the theoretical part, are used as material for teaching activities. These activities were created for teaching music education at lower secondary schools. In the activities, accessible folk music is used as a mean to understand more demanding classical music. All activities are tested in pedagogical practice and are therefore provided with a description, goals, methodological commentary, and graphic materials.
The Influence of Music on the Identity Development of a Student of a Lower Secondary School

The diploma thesis aims to describe the influence of music on the identity development of a student at a lower secondary school. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The theoretical part describes the term identity and musical identity and its development in adolescence. Also, it includes the description of Music education in the Czech Republic with focus on the lower secondary schools. It is concluded with the portrayal of a personality of a teacher in general, and the personality of a Music teacher. The core part of the thesis is the empiric part, which is focused on the influence of music on identity development in adolescence. It surveys the musical preferences of the pupils, the influence of a Music teacher, and the pupils' relationship to music. The participants of the research were 472 pupils of lower secondary schools in three regions of the Czech Republic. It was proved that musical preferences are not influenced by peers but rather social media; also, musical preferences are not conditioned by music education level. Furthermore, it was confirmed that music helps pupils deal with their problems and regulate their emotions. Tachov children's choir

This diploma thesis deals mainly with the Children's Choir of Tachov, his choirmasters and also briefly deals with the culture of the Tachov district. The first part of the work is devoted to the history of musical life in the Tachov region from the 18th century to the present. The second part focuses on the beginning of this choir, his development and structure of the children's choir itself, which also includes its preparatory departments. Next topic is also dedicated to the biographies of the two main choirmasters - Josef Brabenec and Jana Válová. Next, thesis studies in detail the complete choral activities, which include choral workshops, foreign tours, concerts and festivals, achievements and discography of this musical ensemble. Established target of the work is to map the complete history of this ensemble, which includes everything from the beginning of this choir to the managerial activities of choirmasters. Most of the material necessary for the writing of this work come from interviews with the choirmaster, from the author's own experience with this ensemble and from chronicles of the Children's Choir of Tachov. Irish Traditional Music at Czech School

The master's thesis deals with Irish traditional music and its possible use in music teaching at lower secondary schools in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part provides information on Irish traditional music and the historical and geographical conditions under which it developed. The practical part deals with the possibilities of its implementation into school education in accordance with the Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. Accompanying the thesis is an appendix consisting of pictures, texts, worksheets and sheet music. The attached CD contains audio and video recordings as well as multimedia presentations.
Verify the effectiveness of Ladislav Daniel's "Bridge Book for 2nd primary school" in practise

Author abstract In my thesis I pursued verify the effectiveness of Ladislav Daniel's "Bridge book for 2nd Primary School" in practise. This textbook had the task to compare the dificiencies and gaps in the music skills of students 2nd Primary School, which become from the music lessons at 1st Primary school. I realized my exploration in the 6th classes of one Prague school, where I have been this year teach music. The status of the music skills induced me to try Daniel's "Bridge book for 2nd Primary School" and return the music lessons between "living subject". Before my exploration I had to realized the initial review in the experimental group and in the control group too, read up Daniel's methodology of music education, textbooks with its methodological guide and analyzed Bridge book for 2nd Primary School with its methodological guide. Pursuant these books I worked out the studing plan of each lesson with methodological steps. At the beginning of the experimental teaching students accesed the lessons very critical. But in a short time they became very active. They carried away new skills and knowledge from each lesson, which they could used and repeat in the next lesson and learn some new. Folk song in Horácko and its use in school and out of school activities of children

The first part of the bachelor thesis titled Folk song in Horácko and its use in both in school and out of school activities of children, it deals with folk songs from the perspective of collecting, categorising, themes and music theory. The second part deals with the problem of in school and out of school activities of children. Although Horácko in comparison with other folk areas it is not very well known, many collectors, teachers of music, supervisors of out of school activities and leaders of folk groups help to keep traditions. The bachelor thesis also includes the analysis of three educational programs of schools which belong to the Horácko area. There is also an analysis of the most used music books at schools for the practical application an example of a lesson where folk song of Horácko is taught is included. In the area of out of school activities the bachelor thesis deals with work of school facilities for leisure education, art schools, explores children's folk groups and give a list of the most popular folk festivals where children from Horácko participate regularly.

Master Thesis Statistical estimators and their tail behavior provides description of two type of characteristics of robustness of estimators - tail behavior and break- down point. Description is made for translation equivariant estimators in general and also for some concrete type of estimators, sample mean, sample median, trimmed mean, Huber estimator and Hodges Lehmann estimator. Tail behavior of these estimator is illustrated for random sample coming from t-distribution with 1 to 5 degrees of freedom. Ilustration is based on simulations made in Mathematica. 1
