Restitution the Church Property in the Czech Republic After 1989
Valeš, Václav ; Hrdina, Antonín (advisor) ; Opatrný, Aleš (referee)
Václav Valeš: Restitution of Church Property in the Czech Republic After 1989 This work describes the sensitive theme of church property restitution in the Czech Republic after 1989. Two laws of restitution accepted from 1990 to 1991 (the law Nr. 298/1990 Coll. and the law Nr. 338/1991 Coll.) solved in particular the activities of Roman Catholic religious orders and congregations. The common law solving church restitutions generally was in 1992 and 2008 not accepted and this situation continues today. This situation restricts churches and religious societies in their work in many areas. A tiny proportion of their properthy were churches and religious societies returned by another way (executive way between 1996-1998, declaratory action).Besides the analysis of existing legislation this work also contains relating judicature of the Constitutional and Supreme Court of the Czech Republic. Keywords confessional law, the Czech Republic, church property, restitution process after 1989

The Right of Exclusion in the Papal Elections
Suchánek, Drahomír ; Hrdina, Antonín (advisor) ; Kubín, Petr (referee) ; Valeš, Václav (referee)
The Right of Exclusion in the Papal Elections The project of this dissertation concentrates on the legal affairs, associated with the problem of exclusivity of catholic monarchs, applied in the form of veto privilege in papal elections. Although this claim was never officially recognized, it was used several times and influenced the effect of cardinal collegiums' voting. The study of this area should demonstrate legal basis of this question, ways and means of claiming the exclusivity right and diverse methods of interpretation of the supporters or opponents of its usage.

Apostolic See in the service of church unity
Větrovský, Kryštof ; Szabo, Miloš (advisor) ; Valeš, Václav (referee)
This bachelor thesis, " An Apostolic See in a Service of the Unity of the Church", looks into a significance of the Apostolic See, which represents the highest legislative, executive and judicial power within the Church. It analyses a historical development of a performance of the papal primacy and it analyses the importance and the purpose of a spiritual power of the Church. It proposes the question, which aspects of work of the Apostolic See are significant and constant and in what lays the reasoning of the power of the Apostolic See over the whole Church. For this reason the thesis analyses the structure of the individual authorities, which implement this power and their competence. The key attention is given to the analysis of the Apostolic Constitution 'Pastor Bonus' and based on it, it inclines to the conclusion, that there exist reasons for a reformation of the Roman Curia. They are especially based on a more accurate definition of competence and aims regarding parallel solution of more dikasterias. That way it states effectiveness of publishing a new constitution of the Apostolic See, which would contain all changes in competences, which have appeared since 1988. Summarising all existing clauses in one document would make easier orientation in a structure of the Roman Curie and it would...
High-temperature X-ray Diffractometry of Thin Layers
Valeš, Václav ; Holý, Václav (advisor) ; Jergel, Matej (referee) ; Nižňanský, Daniel (referee)
In this work, the crystallographic structure and its changes under thermal treatment of different systems consisting of metal oxide nanoparticles is studied. The principal method used throughout the thesis is x-ray powder diffraction enriched with grazing incidence small angle x-ray scattering when the nanoparticles form an ordered structure or with x-ray absorption spectroscopy when additional information on local crystallographic structure is required. For all the systems the preparation conditions were optimized according to the crystallographic data for further applications.

Graphene Field-Effect Transistor as a Probe of Doping by Adsorbed Oxygen Molecules
Blechta, Václav ; Mergl, Martin ; Drogowska, Karolina ; Kučera, Lukáš ; Valeš, Václav ; Červenka, Jiří ; Kalbáč, Martin
Graphene has high potential in chemical sensing, thus understanding adsorption and charge transfer between graphene and adsorbed molecules is essential. We show that graphene field-effect transistor exhibits a moderate sensoric response towards oxygen at temperature of 150 °C. Field-effect transistors serve as a tool to probe electronic properties of graphene. We demonstrate that adsorption of oxygen molecules onto graphene leads to an upshift of Dirac point and light changes in mobility of charge carriers.
Fabrication methods of diamond coated Love wave SAW biosensors for bacterial detection applications
Drbohlavová, L. ; Bulíř, J. ; Valeš, Václav ; Jákl Křečmarová, M. ; Taylor, Andrew ; Talbi, A. ; Soltani, A. ; Mortet, Vincent
Pathogen detection has a huge importance in the food industry and it can play significant role in the medical practice. This paper focus on the fabrication methods of diamond coated Love wave surface acoustic wave (LW-SAW) biosensors for bacteria detection. LW-SAW sensors have been fabricated on AT-quartz crystals. Interdigitated transducers have been patterned by RF sputtering and photolithography techniques. Amorphous silicon oxide (SiO2) guiding layer and nano-crystalline diamond layer were both deposited by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition at low temperature. Preliminary experimental study of diamond surface termination for sensors bio-functionalization is also reported.
