Mixed Choir a Cappella by Otta Albert Tichý

Otto Albert Tichy, a Moravian native from Martinkov was born in 1890 and died in 1973 during his visit to the St. Vitus cathedral. He was a composer (mostly of religious music), a teacher, a writer and a translator. He composed more than 300 pieces. In this text, part of his work is discussed - the mixed choirs without accompaniment (a cappella). Mixed choir records were completely digitalised and the printed materials were compared with the original autographs preserved. Thanks to the midi files created, any amateur conductor, or anyone else interested in Tichy's work can listen to his pieces, even without knowing how to play any musical instrument. All translations of religious compositions (originally mainly in Latin) are included and categorised according to the liturgical year. In the final part of the text, Tichy's composition style is shown, based on the knowledge of conductors that have worked with his compositions (including the author of this text). In some chosen pieces, the problems with interpretation and rehearsals are displayed.

The cantata and oratorio works of Jan Hanuš: musical-historical context and pedagogical use

The thesis consciously builds on previous literature devoted to the life and work of Jan Hanuš, a significant 20th-century Czech composer. It focuses on his cantata and oratorio works, which form a distinctive part of the author's legacy. The thesis aims not only to study the defined area of interest from due theoretical perspectives, but also to intervene in relevant related practical fields: the field of artistic interpretation and the field of music pedagogy. The first, theoretically focused goal is to map the entire defined area of Hanuš's output in the context of musical and social development during the 20th century, in the context of related music by other Czech composers, and in the context of Hanuš's personal compositional development. The second goal is to bring one of the selected works, Poselství: svědectví o smrti Jana Palacha (The Legacy: A Testimony on the Death of Jan Palach) from 1969, to a world premiere in the symbolic and social context that the work deserves. The third goal is to create didactic material that uses the specifics of the studied area of Hanuš's work to bring the musical language of contemporary artificial music closer to today's students of general music education. Choral singing in preschool age in perspective Kühn's Children's Choir

This work discusses the musical development of a child in preschool age and work on it, as well as how choral singing contributes to it. In the theoretical part of the work, you will find the basic developmental components that a child goes through in preschool age and how they should be worked on in order for the development to be balanced. Furthermore, the thesis deals with choir singing in preschool age, who is the choirmaster, what is his role in the choir and who is a member of the choir and how to become one. One of the main parts of the work is a discussion of Kühn's children's choir, which is one of the best choirs in Europe and is very close to me. Here you will find the history of the choir and information about its founder, Jan Kühn, after whom the choir is named. Part of my work is also the present day of the choir and its existing workers and today's activities.

The role and significance of the Central Music of the Army of the Czech Republic in contemporary society

This bachelor thesis examines the activities of the Central Music of the Army of the Czech Republic (CM ACR) which as one of the few military music ensembles in the Czech Republic withstood the gradual reduction of many military ensembles after the coup in 1989. The aim of the thesis is to map the activities of the CM ACR from 2010 to the present. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the composition of the orchestra, with emphasis on the repertoire and the musical production itself. The practical part follows, through a halfstructured interview and the journey of a few selected members of the CM ACR to become full members of this musical ensemble.
