Social work with users of non-alcoholic addictive substances with psychiatric comorbidity in contact centers

Bachelor's thesis presents the form of social work in low-threshold social services called contact centers, The empirical part builds on the theoretical part and examines the challenging situations that social workers face to in a work with users of addictive non-alcoholic substances who suffer from mental illness. The tools and sources of support they use to deal with specific challenging situations are also introduced. For the purpose of the research qualitative study, social workers from the territory of the capital city Prague and the Central Bohemian Region are involved. Ethical dilemmas of shelter workers for families with children and possibilities of their solution

This bachelor thesis deals with the ethical dilemmas of workers in shelters for families with children and the possibilities of their solution. The theoretical part is focused at first on shelters in the Czech Republic, then on one specific shelter for families with children and finally on ethical dilemmas. The practical part contains a description of the qualitative research approach. It includes the area and metodology of research, the technique of data collection, specific partial research questions and also the research and survey unit. The interpretation part focuses on outputs detected through semi-structured interviews realized with nine workers (2 workers of social services and 7 social or managerial workers) in four different shelters in the Czech Republic. In this section, the reader is acquainted with the most important ethical dilemmas of these employees. In the end of the practical part is the answer to the main research question "what dilemmas do shelter workers consider to be the most serious and in what ways do they solve them?".
Specialized support for adolescents and young adults with experience of upbringing in children's homes in the Czech Republic

Present thesis is focused on specialized support, which is provided in the Czech Republic to adolescents and young adults who have experience with upbringing in a children's home. The theoretical part of the thesis firstly describes the system of alternative care in the Czech Republic, covers the circumstances of removing children from their families and describes the facilities of children's homes. The next part depicts the specifics and needs of adolescents and young adults who have experience with upbringing in a children's home. With regard to the specifics of the target group, the thesis continues with a list of approaches, methods and techniques that can be used in working with clients. The empirical part aims to find out what forms of support are available to the target group in the Czech Republic. Through a quantitative survey, the research found out which entities provide support and what specific form this support takes. The research was preceded by a pilot survey, which addressed children's homes in the Czech Republic. The children's home questionnaire asked whether the facilities cooperated with organizations that provide support to the target group and what are the eventual organizations. Supported Employment as an Instrument of Social Inclusion

The aim of my bachelor thesis ,,Supported Employment as an Instrument of Social Inclusion" is analyzing the service for people who want to search and keep a paid job in the open labour market. The target group of the service needs a professional support to find a job because of their disability or their social situation. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with principles, establishment and representation of the service Supported Employment in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part of the thesis also deals with issues of disability, mechanisms of integration into society, the right to work and be employed, issues of unemployment and tools of active labour market policy. The practical part is based on results by the author. The situation of people who use the service of Supported Employment and people who do not have experience with this service is compared.
Contemporary Social Context and Possibilities of Employing Older People in Social Enterprises

(in English) The aim of this dissertation is to create an overview of elderly people employment in social businesses in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part describes a social entrepreneurship, defines it and gives its legal frame and examples of such businesses in Europe and in the Czech Republic. The category of the elderly is defined according to their characteristics and also according to the possible link to long term unemployment. The connection with the Age management is presented at the end of the theoretical part. The empirical part focuses on the overall situation of the elderly in social businesses and on factors possibly affecting their employment in this kind of businesses. It was found out in the research that the selected target group is one of those most at risk on the labour market. At the same time, this group is one of the least supported and monitored not only in the social businesses. However, persons 50+ may become a significant group on the labour market in the future. The final part of this thesis stresses out that it is vital to change our point of view on this target group and its support on the field of active labour market policy, but, above all, to make use of the opportunity to employ these people in social entrepreneurship which is described in this dissertation...
Evaluation of selected low-threshold children and youth facilities

(in English): This diploma thesis deals with the theme of low-threshold facilities for children and youth. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and empirical part. At the beginning of the theoretical work, work with risky youth, the theory of risky behavior and its individual types is approached. In detail, a low-threshold facility for children and young people is introduced, including legislative anchoring, principles, target group and individual working methods. At the end of the theoretical part is described system of social services assessment and current events in this area. The empirical part contains research methodology, research results and evaluation. The aim of the thesis is to compare the facilities of the capital city of Prague and the Central Bohemian region and to compare the ideas about the goals of work between the managers and their subordinates. A qualitative method was chosen for the research, when data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews.
Proposal of a system of further education of social workers in direct contact with seniors in the houses of seniors

This thesis deals with the issue of the further education of social workers who work in homes for the elderly in direct care with this target group. The aim of the work which is based on the results arising from the interviews and questionnaire is to design the content of further training for this specific group of social workers so that their real needs would be accepted. The work is divided into the theoretical and practical part. The content of the theoretical part is familiarising with the most commonly used theories in social work with the elderly in the facilities of social services, marginally, it is describing the social service system for the elderly in the Czech Republic, including the role of social workers in it and the importance of the training of social workers. The practical part presents the methods and results of the data analysis, research and the design of the content of continuing education of social workers.
Social farming

The aim of the thesis is to present the concept of social farming and to see if it is a suitable method of social integration of people with health and social disadvantages. It is an innovative approach that brings together two concepts: multifunctional agriculture and social services. The theoretical part of the thesis clarifies the idea of social economy and social business. It also focuses on social farming in the Czech Republic and Europe. It defines its theoretical background, actors and sources of funding. The thesis examines the link between agricultural activities and social work, benefits and limits of the concept for employees, farmers and the local community, and further focuses on the current problems that social farming in the Czech Republic is facing and that hinder its development. The data was obtained through semi- structured interviews. The results of the research showed countless benefits for all involved. The biggest disadvantage was the ignorance of the concept and the associated underestimation in society.
Qualitative diagnostics in fitness center

Title: Qualitative diagnostics in fitness center. The aim of the diploma thesis: The aim of the theoretical part of the diploma thesis is to summarize the knowledge about the diagnostic entrance test for motion assumptions in fitness and afterwards to help as a study material for people who are interested in being educated in this department. The aim of the practical part of the diploma thesis is to perform the model situation of the diagnostic entrance test in the fitness center carried out in the presence of 10 certificated personal trainers with many years of experience and then with help of semi-structured dialogs and the overall analysis of the concept of the diagnostic, together with an analysis of their experience with diagnostic entrance test in fitness as a whole. The Life's Alteration Seniors Causes of Transition to Home for Elderly People

This thesis is devoted to the elderly and the changes in their lives. The theoretical part deals with the issue of social problems in old age. Briefly describes the age, physical and psychological changes, focusing on changes in social inclusion and the changes in relation to children and grandchildren and also outlined here adaptation. In the research part I through interviews with seniors who are clients of the residence facilities senior home to find out what preceded their decision to enter a home for the elderly. Also, both accept this change and if ever. What aspects of this transition, the hardest for them or, conversely, what they are in this transition most helpful.
