Ecotoxicological evaluation of chemicals using algal tests
Osinová, Petra ; Vávrová, Milada (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
This bachelor thesis covers use of algal test for evaluation of ecotoxicity of chemical agents. First part details algae and algal tests metodology. Second part investigates applicability of different algae species and algae test methods for ecotoxicological analysis of selected chemical substances
Influence of polymers to reduce dust
Šubrt, Michal ; Mravcová, Ludmila (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
The main issue this bachelor thesis deals with the reduction of emit into the enviroment. A specific type of polymer compound from Canadian provenance will be tested for this purpose. The aim of this work will be the identification of positive characteristics of the polymer, and determine to the appropriate method of application. The above mentioned reduction of dust, stabilization of areas after application, possibly reduction of its permeability and increase of its maximum dry density will also by measured.
Options determination of synthetic fragrances in wastewater
Kašparová, Jarmila ; Zlámalová Gargošová, Helena (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
Synthetic fragrances (musk) are artificially made organic compounds, which are used as fragrances in pharmaceutical and cosmetic products. The presence of musk is proven in all environmental compartments. However, the greatest attention is paid to purified waste water, which is a frequent source of pollution of surface water. The physico-chemical properties of musk compounds cause their accumulation in the living and non-living components of the ecosystem, where they behave as persistent pollutants. The presented bachelor thesis deals with the problem of determining individual musk compounds of all groups side by side. In the bachelor thesis, nineteen musk compounds of four groups, nitromusk compounds, macrocyclic musk compounds, linear musk compounds, polycyclic musk compounds were studied. The basis of this work was to optimize the method for determining all groups of musk compounds side by side, evaluating and interpreting the results. Solid phase microextraction (SPME) was used as a method for extracting analytes. Gas chromatography in conjunction with mass spectrometry was used for the final analysis, as a detector was used for a Time of flight analyzer.

Šubrt, Michal ; Čáslavský, Josef (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, derivates of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, chromatography
Analysis of alkyl-derivatives of mercury at biotic matrixes.
Tuhovčáková, Lenka ; Vávrová, Milada (referee) ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (advisor)
At diploma thesis will be used for determination of alkyl - derivatives of mercury especially gass chromatography. At diploma thesis will be developed metod for it´s identification, quantification, standard operating procedure and validation of the method of determination of alkyl - derivatives of mercury in animal tissues. There will be evaluated level of contamination by the polutants.
The quality system and its possible application on the field of population
Kulíšek, Martin ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
This diploma paper is focused on developing the quality manual ISO 9000 and 14000. It is created for a particular workplace protection of the population, but also in a way that it can be applied to any departing unit of the Fire and Rescue Service. Herein it is processed a management system built for the platoon of central fire station in accordance with standard ČSN EN ISO 9001.
Study of glyphosate degradation in water plasma application
Vašinková, Alena ; Vávrová, Milada (referee) ; Mravcová, Ludmila (advisor)
This work deals with the current problem of increasing concentrations of glyphosate in groundwater and wastewater due to insufficient efficiency of methods used in wastewater treatment. From this point of view effective removing of glyphosate from water have to be developed by new methods and technological processes. The methods used so far in wastewater treatment plants should be replaced or supplemented by advanced oxidation processes. The practical part of this work is devoted to glyphosate and its degradation in water by plasma. Samples were taken sequentially during plasma application and further evaluated by LC/MS selected as suitable analytical methods. The aim of this work was to determine the efficiency of plasma in water with admixture of glyphosate.
Determination of titanium dioxide nanoparticles in personal care products
Košík, Juraj ; Čáslavský, Josef (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
Předkládaná diplomová práce se zabývá extrakcí nanočástic oxidu titaničitého z produktů osobní péče, konkrétně opalovacích krémů a následnou charakterizací těchto částic.
Fish as indicator of aquatic ecosystem´s loading by pharmaceutical residues
Milatová, Martina ; Vávrová, Milada (referee) ; Zlámalová Gargošová, Helena (advisor)
Nowadays, the importance of the issue of residues of pharmacs in the wastewaters and afterwards, surface waters, becomes more serious because of the fact, that the consumption of the pharmacs is instantly increasing within the human population. Therefore, it is important to monitor not only this pharmacs, respectively their residues in waters, but also their residues in aquatic organisms. This thesis is of theoretical character and deals with the possibility of using fish as bioindicators in the evaluation of pharmacs residues in aquatic ecosystems. The examples of farmacs present in the waters are given and the most common of them are described. The synthetic estrogens, whose effects on the aquatic organisms, respectively fish, are most detectable, were chosen as the most common group of pharmacs.
Evaluation of ecosystem stress in Váh basin
Grajciariková, Eva ; Doležalová Weissmannová, Helena (referee) ; Vávrová, Milada (advisor)
The bachelor theoretical thesis was focused on the current issue of the environmental load of the ecosystem in the selected locality of Slovakia. The focus was put on the evaluation of the contamination level in the selected area of Váh’s river – basin in the Žilina region. The level of contamination was assessed on the basis of the relevant water quality indicators following the government regulation number 296/2005 C.l. The thesis describe the physical and chemical properties of the factors and their toxic effects on the environment.
