Professional development of teachers at a selected high school

The thesis deals with the proffessional development at a selected high school and attitude towards it, to identify possible barriers to their proffessional development and on the basis of the findings to propose measures for improvement. Attitude means their relationship to professional development. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts related to the issue. In the empirical part, the author uses a qualitative approach with a case study design and analyses the results of semi-structured interviews with open-ended questions. The research sample consists of 8 teachers of the selected secondary school and the headmistress of the school. Finally, the author summarizes the findings, compares her findings with other research, and lists the benefits and limitations of the work. Based on the results of the research, she submits recommendations for practice that reacts many of the barriers identified by respondents. The results of the research show that teachers develop professionally to varying degrees and consider development to be a natural part of their work. They identify barriers such as lack of time or lack of motivation from management. Management then perceives the financial burden and inappropriate timing of training events as a barrier. Professional development of human resources in selected organisation

This diploma thesis focuses on the professional development of HR Officers in a selected organization. The main goal is to find out and describe the approach of HR Officers in the selected organization to their own professional development. The presented work is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. In the theoretical part, areas and terms related to the researched issue are defined. The first chapter deals with the field of personnel studies. Specifically, it is dedicated to HR Officers, their roles, HR activities, competencies and opportunities for further professional education. The second chapter focuses on the area of employee education and development. It deals with corporate education, systematic education, methods of education and development, and motivation and barriers in the further education of adults. The practical part of the thesis is devoted to the description of the methodology of the research investigation. Respecting didactic principles in further education courses

The diploma thesis deals with verification of respecting didactic principles by further education lecturers. The theoretical part contains defining concepts connected with educational process of adults including placing further education in the context of lifelong learning. One of the separate chapters introduces personality of the lecturer. There are the necessary competences for this kind of profession, its description based on data from the National Register of Qualifications and National Profession System and its typology. Except for the lecturer, the diploma thesis also deals with the personality of the learner, its motivation to learn and the possibilities of its approach to participating in learning actions. The rest of the theoretical part contains a list of individual androdidactic principles with their explanation, methods and also trends in adult education in the context of ICT. Adaptation as a Possible Cause of Employee Turnover in Selected Organization

This work aims to identify and describe adaptation processes as a possible cause of employee turnover in selected organization and to propose measures for improvement. The thesis focuses on the topic of adaptation, human adaptation, adaptation of employee in organization, areas of adaptation and adaptation processes in the context of personnel activities. Subsequently, attention is paid to employee turnover, problems associated with turnover, types of turnover and factors that affect employee turnover. This is followed by an empirical survey that focuses on adaptation processes and their possible impact on employee turnover in selected organization in Prague. The empirical survey is realized as a qualitative case study using interviews and document analysis. Interviews were conducted with three groups of employees, with HR manager, new employees and former employees who terminated during the trial period. Questions were focused on the implementation of adaptation processes in the organization, employee turnover and the reasons for employees leaving the organization in connection with the adaptation process. Every organization has or should have its strategic development plan. The diploma thesis focuses on the management strategy and staff leadership of chosen educational organizations, mainly in the area of their strategic goals. It discusses the issues of cooperation, knowledge and implementation of the goals by staff in practice. The goal of the thesis is therefore to find out, if employees of chosen pre-schools have the knowledge of the strategic goals of their organization and to describe what, from their point of view, is their role in helping to fulfil the individual development areas.
