Calculation of thermal resistance of finned heatsink
Kyanka, Radim ; Huták, Petr (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on the problem with analytical calculations needed to define thermal resistance of finned heat sinks. First it describes how temperature proceeds at different boundary conditions at fin tip. Than it describes different mechanisms of heat transfer, equlation of heat resistance especially of natural and forced convection. To verify the results there is comparison between analytical equlations written in Matlab program and measuring results.
Li-ion battery model
Loucký, Vojtěch ; Toman, Marek (referee) ; Cipín, Radoslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with description of the principle of Li-ion cells, literature search on the topic of mathematical models of Li-ion cells and the creation of a selected mathematical model in MATLAB, which is able to simulate the course of voltage and state of charge as a function of time for different ambient conditions, such as various aging of battery .The creation of both the model and the procedure of identification of parameters necessary for the creation of the model are described here as well as different options of identification of parameters. The selected Thevenin model is then compared with the real course and the accuracy of the model is evaluated with respect to the measured course.
Design of synchronous linear motor thermal network
Čech, Jan ; Toman, Marek (referee) ; Knebl, Ladislav (advisor)
The first part of this thesis deals with the study of linear motors. The introduction of the thesis deals with the brief description of the linear motor, including its accessories. This part explains principle of linear motors, their general advantages and disadvantages. The next section contains an overview and division of the currently used linear motors. The second part deals with the theoretical description of forms of heat transfer. The third part of the thesis deals with the design of an equivalent thermal circuit model of a linear iron-core linear motor with permanent magnet. Hereafter, the proposed design will be used to calculate the temperatures of the individual motor units. The temperatures are later compared with the results obtained with finite element method.
Transmitter and receiver for remote data transmission
Zimčík, Václav ; Toman, Marek (referee) ; Huták, Petr (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on the construction of a multichannel thermometer with wireless data transmission. The device will be able to receive data from multiple transmitters, to which multiple temperature sensors will be connected, to one receiver by wireless transmission at a frequency of 433MHz, and then the device will display this data on a display using selected components and algorithm.
Thermal analysis of a small induction machine
Holcman, Marek ; Toman, Marek (referee) ; Mach, Martin (advisor)
This thesis deals with the thermal analysis of a small asynchronous motor with a power of 600 W. The motor losses were determined first by the program RMxprt, and then by laboratory measurement. Temperatures in engine are calculated using the thermal resistance method. For analytical calculation of motor temperatures, a simple program was created using the Matlab computation program. Using the created program and determined losses, engine temperatures were calculated, which were then verified by measurement.
Camera Positioning Device
Berčík, Vojtěch ; Toman, Marek (referee) ; Červinka, Dalibor (advisor)
This master’s thesis deals with the design of a drive for a camera positioning device that could be used for shooting videos and timelapses. The optimal drive and power supply as well as the steering program based on the Arduino platform program are developed. The construction prototype adapted for printing at 3D printers is also designed. The whole system is then produced and tested.
Thermal model of high-speed induction motor
Světlík, Martin ; Mach, Martin (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with thermal calculation of high-speed machines. Distribution of electrical rotating machine losses and calculation of mechanical losses in the air gap and on the ends of rotor is described in first part. Based on relationships taking into account rotor friction of the against the surroinding fluid are these calculations make. Literary search on theme of thermal calculation and principle of calculation thermal network method is descript here in the next part. Thermal network designed for specific machine and tabular of resulting temperatures are located in the last part.
Dynamic Li-ion battery model
Loucký, Vojtěch ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
The main aim of this work is to compare mathematical models of Li-Ion batteries and for the chosen mathematical model create dynamic model in MATLAB. Different mathematical models are compared based on their weakness. There is detailed description of Improved Thevenin model, which is then created in Simulink and is tested for various discharging currents. This model is adjusted to work with parameters obtained from measuring data on real Li-ion cell and the results from simulations are compared with results from real measurements.
Thermal calculation of induction motor using thermal networks
Čáp, Martin ; Cipín, Radoslav (referee) ; Toman, Marek (advisor)
This thesis deals with thermal calculation of asynchronous motor. The theoretical part deals with principles of heat transfer, which are important for thermal calculation. Another theoretical part describes asynchronous motor analysis and its loss. In the practical part, these losses together with the electromagnetic circuit are calculated. Subsequently, two thermal networks are created to calculate the warming of individual machine parts. To ensure the correctness of the result, a bound model of partial calculations of the asynchronous machine is created. The next step is to compare the calculated electrical quantities and the calculated temperatures with respect to the measured values.
