Pragerová, Klára ; Vrzáček, Petr (advisor) ; Tošner, Jiří (referee)
The present thesis focuses on the development of volunteerism as a part of the professionalization of a nonprofit organization. Case study took place in the organization Pestrá společnost, which is dedicated to the training of assistance dogs and provides social services to the owners of assistance dogs. The organization uses volunteers regularly and on long-term basis. Research in this organization confirms the fact that quality management of volunteerism effectively utilizes the capacity of motivated volunteers and reduces overall financial costs. The theoretical part focuses on the professionalisation of management of volunteering through the selection and training of volunteers with regard to their motivation. About the Cheese from Mokrá in Other Perspective
Prokopová, Martina ; Pauknerová, Karolína (advisor) ; Tošner, Jiří (referee)
The topic of the thesis is the production of cheese in a slovak village Mokrá. It is described from the perspective of Actors-Network theory and from the practice-turn point of view. The thesis combines the results of an ethnographic research on the location with an experimental ethnographic writing. It all comes from the notion, that cheese can be considered as an actor, that is able to influence physical and socio-cultural life of the cheesemongers. The cheese is taken as hybrid, natural, discursive and collective character. The author focuses on the agency of cheese primarily in the relationship to the bodies of the cheesemongers using the concept of practical understanding, as well as in the relationship to the landscape using the concept of terroir and taskscapes. In order to see the phenomenon of homemade cheese from a new perspective, the author writes from different space-time perspectives. At the beginning the space-time perspective is extended, so cheese is perceived as an event, what enables us to find new actors in the cheese production process. Afterwards the perspective is reduced to the world of the lactic acid bacteria to discover their impact on the cheese production, its taste and quality and on the discurse of micro-biopolitics. A separate part of the thesis is focused on the...

This article focuses on volunteerism in the social work field. Volunteerism phenomenon is booming in the Czech Republic; however, due to our historical development it lags behind Western countries. For this reason, this article conveys the management of volunteerism in Germany where it is directly linked to organization's management principles. I have broken down this topic into recruitment and selection of volunteers, their training, evaluation and rewards for their activities and into the coordination of volunteer activities. The aim of this study is based on the German system that can be passed on to the Czech setting in form of recommendations to individual areas of volunteerism management including proposals for more effective supervision of volunteers for Czech volunteer centers/organizations. The theoretical element of this manuscript is extracted from scholarly journals and articles including information from Czech and foreign literature concerning volunteerism circumstances in the Czech Republic and Germany. The practical element was accomplished in Freiwilligen-Zentrum Aachen and in Freiwilligenagentur Impuls Dusseldorf. At the volunteer center in Aachen, I brought together diverse combinations of interview methods with the volunteers' Coordinator, observations and study of the...

The thesis themed "Barriers of volunteerism in organizations in region Teplice" points to the primary aim, which is establishing if in the selected organizations exist any barriers in context of volunteerism and if they exist, what kind of barriers it is. The selected organizations are nongovernmental nonprofit organizations (further NGO's) and allowance organizations in region Teplice, focused on social services. I discover, if there exist among NGO's and allowance organizations in the access to volunteerism any differences or if they are the same. I also endeavour to discover, if for the work with volunteers exist some factors which relate to the region Teplice. Consequently I put to the relation the views on volunteerism and the characteristics of organizations. In the preamble I define the civil sector and the problems of volunteerism. Then I describe the region Teplice, draw near the problems of social services and consequently I attend to the research. In the conclusion I present the results of the thesis and I propose resolution.
