Long-term active operation of Dewar vessels for liquid helium is economically exacting. The goal of the research is optimalization of operation with economical profitability and security during permanent change of input and output data. All important data are tracked for a long time and use is optimalized to achieve smallest loses. We use long time know-how in the field of cryogenics and our specialized cryogenics equipments and apparatuses. The research is conducted according Contract between MU - CEITEC and ÚPT AV ČR Brno, v. v. i., signed on the 20. 1. 2022.
SMV-2022-56: Measurement of thermal flows in shaft of expansion turbine type HEXT 300

Thermal flows between hotter and colder parts of cryogenic machine shaft during different border temperatures were measured in the apparatus, newly designed and developed in the ÚPT AVČR Brno, v. v. i. Experimental results were compared with theoretical calculations. After finished experiments, the research report was passed on to contractor. The research is conducted according Contract between PBS a.s. Velká Bíteš and ÚPT AV ČR Brno, v. v. i., signed on the 17. 9. 2018 and according order No. 21431667 from 9. 8. 2021.

Long-term active operation of Dewar vessels for liquid helium is connected with the risk of their damage that could caused significant financial losses and as well danger for their operators. The goal of the research is to guarantee the safe operation and its economical benefit. Vessels are periodically tested for vacuum tightness and relevant boil of rate is measured. Simultaneously are tested security valves and cooling processes of vessels are optimized. We use long time know-how in the field of cryogenics and also our specialized cryogenics equipments and apparatuses. The origin of this know-how is in the institute, it is 48 years old. It is necessary to check actual quality of raw material, to define its volume for given vessel type and check the time of production, that is dependent on the volume and vessel shape and also on the raw material characteristic. After checking all of important parameters the form with defined volume is prepared and test samples are produced. Samples are after detailed testing sent to the customer. Research was conducted according order dated 25.1.2021 (No. 0832218-3401-70109).

SMV-2020-39: Research of thermal conductivity of samples from different materials in temperature range 10 - 80 K

There was investigated thermal conductivity of different samples at various border conditions in the apparatus, designed and developed in the ÚPT AVČR Brno, v.v.i.
