Stuff Placing Optimization for Transport
Vacek, Michal ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Křena, Bohuslav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis treats of application of stuff placing optimization for transport. Application is developed in cooperation with Škoda Auto a.s., which solves the problem of transport materials in containers from their factories to assembly halls abroad. It describes an application analysis, a plan and an implementation. Application consist of two parts. The first computes the optimalization - it selects subset from set of moduls (boxes) and it locates this boxes to a container. The second part of application display the stuff placing. The part of this bachelor thesis is also set of agnated optimalization methods, mainly Knapsack and Bin-packing problem.
Chart Builder Ansible Automation Analytics
Práce zkoumá aktuální implementaci Ansible Automation Analytics a odpovídající API. Dále zkoumá vhodné knihovny pro vykreslování grafů a popisuje základy použitých technologií. Praktická část popisuje požadavky na komponentu a popisuje vývoj a implementaci pluginu. Dále práce popisuje proces testování a~plány budoucího vývoje pluginu.
System Log Analysis
Ščotka, Jan ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The goal of this master thesis is to make possible to perform system log analysis in more general way than well-known host-based instrusion detection systems (HIDS). The way how to achieve this goal is via proposed user-friendly regular expressions. This thesis deals with making regular expressions possible to use in the field of log analysis, and mainly by users unfamiliar with formal aspects of computer science.
A Tool for Post-Mortem Debugging
Kapičák, Peter ; Peringer, Petr (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The goal of this work is checking specific properties in trace which program should meet or which it shouldn't meet. Properties and their description are basis of this tool for post-mortem debbuging. Properties are transformed to deterministic finite automaton for checking in trace and their description is important for searching events in trace. Events are pass to automaton as input. Output of a tool is report if properties are meet or not. Solution provides check of properties regardless of log format and shows events that preceded violation of the properties.
Test Management Tool
Novák, Miroslav ; Janoušek, Vladimír (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to specify, design and implement a test management tool that will work both on its own and on the Testos platform. The problem was solved by creating a client web application and implementing a web service using the REST API, which ensures interoperability with other tools. The created system allows to manage the basic testing process, which consists of project management, test requirements management, test library management and management of individual testing runs.
Simulation of Physical Phenomena Using Cellular Automata
Martinek, Dominik ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Peringer, Petr (advisor)
This master's thesis deals with modelling and simulation of physical phenomena by cellular automata. The basic methods which model physical phenomena is enumerated and descibed in this thesis. One of the important part of this thesis is a set of demonstration models. Each model is focused on one selected area of physical phenomena. All models are described by transtition rules and the procedure of derivation of these rules is also presented here. There rules were used in implemented models.  Another part of this thesis contains of a simulation application for these models. The real application had been implemented in accord with this design and it has been used to perform the simulation experiments with exemplary models. Results of the simulation experiments are discussed in conclusion of this thesis. One exemplary model had also been adapted for parallel processing. The performances on a computer with different count of working processors were measured and are also discussed in the conclusion of this thesis
IoT Application Deployment Platform
Hrvol, Marek ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Kočí, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this work is simplifying deployment of Internet of Things in households or smaller companies and also reducing the need of maintenance of created network.  Main goal of this web application is creating platform capable of deploying applications across ARM single-board computers. Moreover, application provides intuitive preview of all registered devices including its state, shows all the necessary data and informs user about failures on devices.
A Support of GVFS Caching
Holý, Ondřej ; Zelený, Jan (referee) ; Smrčka, Aleš (advisor)
The master's thesis deals with a support of caching in GVfs (Gnome Virtual filesystem). Basics of caches, cache invalidation, and cache replacement algorithms are described. Description of GIO filesystem abstraction and communication of modules within GVfs is provided next. The disadvantages of individual GVfs modules and, if present, their internal caches are discussed. The thesis proposes three types of cache. The first type of cache is for storing file metadata, the second one for directory listings, and the latter for file content. These caches have been implemented in a prototype and verified with respect to the functionality and performance. The main benefits of the proposed solution are faster work with virtual filesystems and provided missing functionality of lower-level virtual filesystem to GIO abstraction (namely, for instance seek operation).
Making CLIPS Available from Ruby
Čecho, Jaroslav ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Letko, Zdeněk (advisor)
This thesis describes a library called rbClips that makes CLIPS functionality available from Ruby. CLIPS is a public domain tool for building expert systems that was originally developed in NASA in 90's. The tool itself is written in C but its user interface is very similar to the Lisp language. Ruby is a modern dynamic scripting language that offers programmer flexible syntax, purely object environment, openness of objects and other interesting features. The library is ment to be used to build expert system for detection of a possibly malicious code in an antivirus software.
Framework for a Web Internet Service
Hájek, Filip ; Smrčka, Aleš (referee) ; Hrubý, Martin (advisor)
The goal of this thesis is to design and implement a containerized web service, which provides the ability to create and run users' tasks. The task is only an abstraction over some particular implementation of computation. The task runs as a Docker container. The thesis also implements user management and the method of running task charging. The system architecture consists of a REST API web server and a user web environment. Worker applications are an essential component of the system. They start user tasks assigned by the server. The system was implemented using the .NET 6 framework in programming language C#. The run of the service has been simulated in a Docker environment. The service integrates existing Auth0 and Google Cloud Storage services. The result is an internet service deployed on a public cloud server.
