Title: Possibilities of using elements from the DNS program for children with multiple disabilities Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of applying exercises from the Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization concept using the DNS FIT KID exercise program in children with multiple disabilities. Methods: The following measures were used for data collection: selected tests from the MOBAK 3-4 battery for screening motor skills, Mathias test, Thomayer test, postural stability assessment (standing on one leg and walking on the line) and DNS FIT KID tests. The DNS FIT KID exercise program was implemented and applied in psychomotor games classes. Results: When comparing the input and output results, the boys showed an improvement in the measured differences. Thus, the applied exercise program DNS FIT KID was chosen in an appropriate form for pupils with multiple disabilities, which indicates a positive effect of its use in the group of children studied. KEYWORDS children with combined disabilities; children with visual impairment; spinal stabilization system; postural stability; DNS; DNS FIT KID; psychomotor games
First Aid during Mass Casualty Incident on the Railway
Novotný, Petr ; Malá, Michaela (advisor) ; Prokešová, Eva (referee)
Title: First Aid during Mass Casualty Incident on the Railway Objectives: The main aim of this work was to assess the first aid knowledge of railway carrier employees working as passenger train crew in relation to mass casualty incidents on the railway. Another aim was to find out how many mass casualty incidents occurred on the regional and the national railway between 2010 and 2020 in the Czech Republic. Methods: In order to assess the first aid knowledge, a quantitative method of anonymous questionnaire with 90 respondents was used. The number of mass casualty incidents was found by a statistical analysis of raw data of railway accidents provided by The Rail Safety Inspection Office. These data were processed by MS Excel 2010 software. In order to test the stated hypotheses, the Student's t-test for Two Independent Samples was used. Results: It was found out that four respondents (4.4 %) of the study had encountered a mass casualty incident at work and provided first aid during that event. The questionnaire and the subsequent hypotheses testing using Student's t-test revealed that the respondent's length of service, participation in health training, and the experience of authentic first aid provided during their work did not have a statistically significant impact on their level of first aid...
Effects of Height and added Load on kinematic drop vertical jump at Military Personnel
Didek, Zdeněk ; Oláh, Vladan (advisor) ; Prokešová, Eva (referee)
Title: Effects of Height and added Load on kinematic drop vertical jump in Military Personnel. Goal: This research investigated how added load affects the kinematics of lower extremities during drop vertical jump from different heights in military personnel. Methods: The character of this thesis was theoretical and empirical. It was a randomized trial with a cross-over design. The research population consisted of 23 army students (21.8 ± 1.8 years, 182.1 ± 9.4 cm 82.3 ± 7.2 kg) of Faculty of Physical Education and Sport of Charles University who performed jumps and subsequent lunges (drop vertical jump) from a height of 50 and 75 cm without non-PNZ and with PNZ (21.45 kg) of load carry. Dartfish (10.0) was used for dynamic valgus analysis. The data obtained were descriptively and statistically analyzed in Jasp (0.16.2) using repeated measures analysis of variance. The level of statistical significance was set at α=0.05. Eta-squared was calculated at η2 =0.066 and Cohen's d at d=0.626. Results: There was no evidence of main effect of load bearing with different jump heights on dynamic knee valgus. The descriptive statistics yielded only positive values for knee angles, indicating only dynamic varus. However, the effect of load carry and jump height on lower limb kinematics showed the following...
