Measurement and evaluation of flows in sewer networks
Haška, Aleš ; Prax,, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
Measuring flow rate, water surface and rainfall are the crucial inputs for the calibration of the hydraulic model. This bachelor’s thesis presents mathematical models and measuring devices for the sewer networks. This thesis summarises the measuring devices that are currently available and used on the sewer network. Furthermore, theory of random and systematic errors is discussed. In the second section, this theory is implemented in the chosen area for the sewer network in Znojmo. On the 9. 9. 2020, three ultrasonic measuring devices (type ISCO 2150 with AV sensor) and one device for measuring water surface (type IJINUS) were installed in this area. This thesis provides continuous measurements which are then applied for the calibration of the hydraulic model. On completion of this thesis it is necessary to continue to calibrate and verify the model in order to increase accuracy and be more precise.

Dvořák, Pavel ; Prax,, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The theme of this bachelor thesis is elaboration, evaluation and comparison of alternative ways of solving the reconstruction of a part of a sewer network. For this purpose, this bachelor thesis is divided to two parts. In the first part, there is a researchof the metods used for repair and reconstruction of a sewer network, with the greatest emphasis being placed on methods of renovation, whose goal is to improve the functional and operational properties of the sewer. There are also descriptions of technological procedures, usability area and the basic technical parameters from manufacturers. In the second part, the acquired knowledge is applied in the solution of the reconstruction of the real sewer network, namely in the urban part of Znojmo, Znojmo - město, the residential area of Pražská street. Two solutions have been developed. At first variant only trenchless technologies were considered, in the second variant a recovery of the pipeline by open trench.
Monitoring of the sewerage system in the city of Brno
Dvorský, Petr ; Prax,, Petr (referee) ; Hluštík, Petr (advisor)
This thesis deals with the monitoring of the sewerage system in the city of Brno. In the research part, there is made an overview of the most used measuring equipment for the monitoring of the sewerage system – level meters, flowmeters, automatic samplers. The practical part is devoted to the monitoring of the sewerage system in Brno for partial evaluation of the benefits of the project „Reconstruction and completion of sewerage in Brno“, realized in 2012 – 2014. Measuring campaign has taken place from June to October 2017. In the course of the work, the instalation of measuring equipment and the collection of measured data was done. After finishing measuring campaign, the data were evaluated from different aspects – the number of overflows, the quantity of overflowing water, the dilution ratio and the quantity of discharged pollution. Then, the hydraulic and construction technical assement of the pipelines of sewer network and overflow chambers and assements of the quantity of the rainwater were made. The results of the evaluation were compared with the results of the previous monitoring campaingns and with the data obtained before the project has been realized. Based on this, the benefit of the project was determined.
Mathematical models of retention object of urban drainage
Pavlík, Ondřej ; Stanko,, Ing Štefan (referee) ; Pollert,, Jaroslav (referee) ; Prax, Petr (advisor)
This work deals with the use of 3D mathematical models of fluid in water management practice. Using 3D mathematical model was assessed retention tank Jeneweinova, which is situated on a sewer network of the city of Brno and is an important object of urban drainage. Retention basin designed to keep overflow from CSO chambers to Svratka and Svitavský náhon during storm events. Retention tank Jeneweinova is suitable for the assessment, because tank was designed bassed the Master Plan drainage of Brno using 1D mathematical model. Another factor was the physical model, which was build in LVV Vin FAST BUT. And finally, near the retention tank will be installed measurement on the sewerage network, which will be able to verify the results whitch has been predicted in this work. Mathematical model of retention tanks Jeneweinova was build in software FLOW-3D. FLOW-3D is a general purpose CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) software for flow of fluid in steady and unsteady mode and uses computational techniques to solve the equations of motion of fluids. This software is mainly used for the calculation of hydraulic fluids, gas flow and heat transfer simulations. Results from 3D mathematical model has been compared with the values in the physical and 1D mathematical model.
Rainfall data in urban drainage
Mrázek, Jan ; Prax,, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
The aim of the bachelor thesis is to process knowledge from measured precipitation data and aplicating this knowledge on methods of prepration of a hydraulic sewage network model of Znojmo city. The first part is a research in the field of interest, being sewage network and precipitation data processing. The detailed procedure of modeling and quantification of the measured data is explained in the practical part of the thesis. After that the process of inputting the data in to a hydraulic model in MIKE URBAN, the program which draws topological data from GIS (retained by VAS a.s. as the investor) and exports the final model into a SWMM enviroment. At last but not least the thesis focuses on schematization of the objects situated on the sewage network, such as relief chambers. The result is a noncalibrated and nonverified model of a part of sewage system of the Znojmo city and systematically organized measured critical rains. This model is going to be optimized after this thesis is finished, thus also calibrated and verified.

Impacts of rehabilitation of sewer network on sewer hydraulics
Petrová, Diana ; Prax, Petr (referee) ; Raclavský, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis focuses on the assessment of the technical condition of selected parts (2 branches) of the sewer network in Znojmo. First, an assessment and classification of the occurring defects was carried out based on the supplied camera recordings according to the coding system of the ČSN EN 13 508-2+A1 standard. Then, each section was classified according to its faultiness and the resulting technical condition into individual categories according to the methodology of TNV 75 6905 (draft) and remediation was proposed. The remediation in the first part A concerned sections falling into categories 2 and 3, where remediation was proposed by lining that hardens in place using a UV emitter. For the second part of the network (B), lining cured by UV radiation was also proposed for sections falling into category 2, and for sections in category 4, a complete replacement of the existing pipes with new ones was proposed due to their destruction and static insufficiency. An economic evaluation was prepared for such a remedition proposal. In the next part, an assessment was made to determine whether the proposed remediton measures do not have an adverse impact on the overall hydraulics of the network. This assessment was carried out in the SWMM program, from which it was found that the remediation does not have such a significant and drastic impact on the hydraulics of the network and its application (lining and replacement of pipes) should have almost no effect. This work includes individual appendices - Evaluation of the camera survey of selected sections of the sewer network according to ČSN EN 13 508-2+A1, Evaluation of the technical condition of selected sections according to TNV 75 6905, Situation evaluation of the technical condition of the sewer network - part A, Situation evaluation of the technical condition of the sewer network part B, Calculation of flow rates depending on the filling height for the original state before and after relief and CD with a camera survey of selected sections of the network.
