Production of a clamp
Svoboda, Petr ; Forejt, Milan (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis presents a proposal for the production technology of the clamp in the company FERRUM s.r.o. It is used to connect floor grates to the supporting structure. It is manufactured from 2 mm thick DC01 sheet metal in a series of 3,500 pieces per month with subsequent surface treatment in the form of hot-dip galvanizing. From the proposed production possibilities, the technology of shearing and bending in a combined tool was chosen. Production takes place in four steps, in the first the outer contour is trimmed, in the second the short arms are bent, in the third the hole for the screw is cut, in the last the long arm is bent, and the part is separated from the rest of the blank. The design of the tool has been developed considering the production capabilities of the company's machining centre. These include turning, milling, drilling and grinding. The production requires a forming force of 387 kN and will be carried out on a LEN 63 C eccentric press located in the company's machine park.

Economic benefits of riveting in light aircraft production
Fridrich, Jan ; Jílek, Jan (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The thesis deals with the comparison of conventional riveting technology with riveting that uses hole-to-hole technology for the preparation of a semi-finished product on a small all-metal ultralight aircraft, specifically on an aileron. The comparison was performed on the ultralight aircraft EV-97 Eurostar SLW (conventional riveting technology) and Alto NG (H2H technology). The comparison of the two methods showed that the time saving for H2H technology is 32,612 min (50%) and the cost price is 600 CZK cheaper compared to the conventional technology, which is, however, easier to produce the semi-finished product.
Design of oil pan production
Švejda, Jakub ; Jopek, Miroslav (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
The project elaborated with the technological design of the production of a rectangular oil pan with a vertical bottom, a flange and the logo of the current manufacturer. The material is 1.4301 stainless steel, the wall thickness is 1,5 mm and the production series is 20 000 pieces per year. The semi-finished product is a metal sheet with the size of 1 500 mm by 3 000 mm, from which rectangular profiles with dimensions of 674 mm by 474 mm are obtained with board scissors in the required quantity of 1 667 pieces. Based on the requirements of the pan, a tool design was created, which was conceived in a combined design enabling all technological operations to be performed in a single working stroke. The basic shape is obtained by deep drawing technology without wall thinning in one stroke with a holder. The required parameters of the flange are ensured by blanking and the logo is created by stamping. The tool was designed on the basis of calculations, using the maximum number of standardized components, and its functionality is conditioned by cooperation with a hydraulic press from Dieffenbacher PO 250, which enables the combination of all three technological operations in one stroke due to two lower holders.
Manufacturing of a VESA holder
Večeřa, Jaromír ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Peterková, Eva (advisor)
This diploma thesis presents a proposal for manufacturing of a monitor holder supporting the VESA mounting system. The part is made of DC01 steel with a thickness of 2 mm, while the size of the production series was set at 150,000 pcs/year. After considering possible production variants, the use of a progressive combined tool combining cutting and bending was chosen as a suitable method. After technology control and selecting a suitable production process, calculations of forming forces and work were performed. The total force was set at 699,7 kN and the total forming work reaches 1,2 kJ. The S160 press from the company Šmeral Brno a.s. was chosen as a suitable machine for production. The semi-finished product in the form of a metal sheet coils will be fed into press by feeding device.
Forming of titanium alloys
Bednařík, Josef ; Podaný, Kamil (referee) ; Lidmila, Zdeněk (advisor)
The work was focused on the forming of titanium and its alloys in order to verify the ductile properties of titanium alloy VT 3-1. Using the upsetting test performed on the CZR 600 press and processed in the Dewesoft application, the strengthening curves for compaction at temperatures ranging from 25 °C to 800 °C were compiled. Based on the performed experiments, the titanium alloy VT 3-1 can be recommended for forming only at higher temperatures. It is recommended to select 700 °C as the lowest forging temperature limit. The material when being upset at lower temperatures showed poor formability due to the strengthening of the material. The yield strength during upsetting at room temperature was measured to be 1 100,8 MPa. In contrast, at 800 °C it has a value of 321,7 MPa. Hardness was determined before and after the test as an additional measurement. After the test, the measurement was performed on the front of the sample and in section. At 700 °C and 800 °C, the hardness resulted in dynamic recrystallization, which resulted in a decrease in hardness. The highest hardness was recorded in the middle of the sample at all temperatures. This result confirmed the thesis that there is a band of the most intense deformation in the perpendicular and axial direction of the sample.
Design of crane hook production
Horák, Tomáš ; Štroner, Marek (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
