Research Report Influence of Vehicle Assistant System on Track keeping
Nedoma, P. ; Herda, Z. ; Plíhal, Jiří
Presented results describe different methods for the evaluation of car stability in lateral direction. Due to the significant differences between the tests, uniform methodology for recognizing the drives with ESC and without it was not determined. Two different methods for the drive on the circle and VDA were proposed instead. For evaluation criteria of vehicle stability with respect to base measured quantities, was used model with weight functions.
Validation of comprehensive energy management system based on cloud-sourced information
Nedoma, P. ; Herda, Z. ; Franc, Z. ; Plíhal, Jiří
The main research activity was devoted to develop an application that would enable testing interface between OIKOS board (based on the AURIXTM) and the dissemination module represented by Skoda vehicle demonstrator through serial port RS232. The testing was based on sending the GPS coordinates to the OIKOS unit and receiving recommended speed profile for the given track. While dissemination unit has received GPS coordinates, AURIX chip has sent back messages with prediction of possible speed profile. Further tasks included verification other forms of transmission, such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Ethernet.\n\n
Dynamic location referencing for geographic databases
Plíhal, Jiří
The paper deals with the dynamic location referencing in intelligent transport systems. This method allows representing the same spatial objects in different maps in different applications and on different software/hardware platforms. The dynamically referenced location is formed as a set of information elements, which contain the points and their corresponding attributes. For each point, one or more attributes can be connected to it at the same time. By standardising dynamic location referencing is engaged in ISO 17572-3 Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) - Marking positions for geographic databases - Part 3: Dynamic location referencing (dynamic profile). The paper provides updated information about draft ISO 17572-3.
Development of adaptive interactive system for increasing vehicle crew safety and its utilization for classification quality of surface carriage way
Kudrna, J. ; Plíhal, Jiří ; Nedoma, P. ; Herda, Z. ; Kozák, P.
On board measuring the surface quality carriage ways aspects is able to expressively contribute to increasing road safety. This paper introduce system concept based on evaluation friction coefficient and road surface bumps with using available vehicle sensing elements. The concept includes two separate parts: deterministic mock-up vehicle movement and stochastic analyses of correlation model varieties and surface features on basis data recorded on testing ground.
E-VECTOORC project introduction
Machan, Jaroslav ; Nedoma, Pavel ; Plíhal, Jiří
This paper introduces the current state of research project related to yaw moment control, anti-lock braking and traction control through the employment of effective torque vectoring strategies for fully electric vehicles. In particular, the adoption of individually controlled electric powertrains with the aim of tuning the vehicle dynamic characteristics in steady-state and transient conditions is discussed. This subject is currently investigated within the European Union (EU) funded Seventh Framework Programme (FP7) consortium E-VECTOORC, focused on the development and experimental testing of novel control strategies. Triennial project is solved by consortium research public and private institutions/companies University of Surrey, Ilmenau University of Technology, Jaguar and Land Rover, Flanders' Drive, Inverto, Fundacion CIDAUT, Instituto Tecnológico de Aragón, ŠKODA AUTO a.s.,VIF Kompetenzzentrum - Das virtuelle Fahrzeug, Forschungsgesellschaft mbH and TRW Automotive Lucas Varity GmbH.

Module for data transmission of vehicle signals to standard PS2
Plíhal, Jiří
The subject of the research task is aimed to proposal and development module for transmission vehicles signals (smart field of buttons, multifunction steering wheel Barrelkeys, multifunction control of buttons) to standard PS2. The whole proposal includes development functional sample of decoder. Technical solution comprises research tasks: interface for matrix micro switch, interface for control elements of multifunction steering wheel "Barelkeys" by means of data transmission Telenostra and integration keyboard control unit.
