Title: Creation of methodological support for the implementation of movement programs for children of younger school age in Czech, Ukrainian and Russian Aim: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create appropriate and comprehensible methodological support to promote physical activity among Ukrainian children in asylum in the Czech Republic. Methods: The bachelor thesis consists of three parts and has a theoretical-empirical character. In the first, theoretical part a qualitative approach (literature search) is used. In the second part, based on the research, a proposal for methodological support was created, which was subsequently translated to be available in three languages: Czech, Ukrainian and Russian. In the third, empirical part, a quantitative approach in the form of an anonymous questionnaire- type survey was used. The research sample for the empirical part was obtained by the method of purposive sampling. The respondents were mainly persons from the field of education who work with children, persons from families affected by the war (refugees from the invaded country), families from the country that started the war and families of Czech citizens whose children suffered from psychological problems related to the war. Live-in personal assistance for people with quadriplegia

Kateřina Pařízková Title: Live-in Personal Assistance for Individuals with Quadriplegia Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to find out if the live-in assistance described below would be in demand by quadriplegics in the Czech Republic and if there would be social service workers who would be interested to do the work following the British model. The outcome of this work could help to improve the quality of care for people with quadriplegia and quality of their life. Methods: In the research section, a quantitative research analysis is conducted using two surveys of their own design, one for individuals with quadriplegia and another for social service workers. This information will help ascertain whether individuals with quadriplegia in the Czech Republic currently avail themselves of personal assistant services and whether they would be receptive to adopting the widely utilized British Live-in system. The results are supplemented with data from social workers in the Czech Republic who provided information about their interest in performing Live-in assistance through a questionnaire survey. Influence of body composition on metabolic profile in people with spinal cord injury

Title: Influence of body composition on metabolic profile in people with spinal cord injury The aim: The aim of this study was to validate the positive relationship between the amount of free fat mass (FFM) and resting metabolic rate (RMR) in subjects with spinal cord lesions. Furthermore, RMR values measured by indirect calorimetry were compared with those predicted by the Harris-Benedict (H-B) equation. Methods: This quantitative research is based on the collaboration between the 3rd Internal Clinic of the 1st Faculty of Medicine, the VFN, the Paraple Centre, o.p.s. and the Faculty of Physical Therapy, Charles University in Prague. The research population consisted of 25 people with spinal cord lesions, clients of the Paraple Centre, 14 men and 11 women. The respondents underwent body composition measurements using the InBody S10 tetrapolar bioimpedance device and resting energy expenditure measurements determined by indirect calorimetry using the Cortex MetaLyzer 3B. The measured RMR values were further compared with the corresponding values calculated using the H-B equation. Data were presented using descriptive statistics methods. Ski course of children with mental disabilities

Title: Ski course of children with mental disabilities Aim of thesis: To develop a set of individual preparatory exercises for training of downhill and cornering techniques in alpine skiing for children with mental retardation. The sub-objective was to test the mastery of individual elements of skiing skills and skiing technique in several children with mental retardation who had completed a ski course Method: This is a theoretical-empirical research. A set of preparatory exercises was tested on a cohort of four children with a diagnosis according to ICD-10in the range F70- 79. Mastery of the skills was assessed using a Likert scale (1-5). Children were observed performing specified, pre-explained and demonstrated skiing skills a total of three times (at the beginning, middle and end of the ski course). Results: A set of preparatory exercises was compiled and tested on a six-day ski course. It showed that children with intellectual disabilities ranging from mild to moderate mental retardation are able to learn and, with prior experience, improve their skiing skills. The child with severe mental retardation did not acquire the skills as he was unable to accept the ski equipment and therefore did not participate in the lessons. Title: Ski course of children with mental disabilities Aim of thesis: To create a set of individual preparatory exercises for training downhill and turning techniques in alpine skiing for children with MR. The sub-goal is to describe in individually observed children at the beginning, in the middle and at the of end the mastery of individual elements of skiing skills and riding technique during weekly training with the inclusion of optimized APA exercises for alpine disciplines. Method: The method I use in my thesis is observation - an empirical procedure. The cohort consisted of four children with a diagnosis according to ICD-10 in the range of F70 - 79, who were observed three times in total (at the beginning, in the middle and at the end) during the skiing course. Children were observed performing assigned, pre-explained and demonstrated basic and open skiing skills. Results: The methodology was compiled. It has been shown that children with mental disabilities in the range of mild and moderate mental retardation are able to learn and, in the case of previous experience, to improve their skiing skills. Title: Alternative and augmentative communication in PE lessons for pupils with pervasive disorder. Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to investigate the possibilities of using pictograms as methods of alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) to support the communication of students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) in physical education (PE) classes.. Methods: The work is based on theoretical-empirical methods. In the first phase of the research, the SOP methology (word, picture, movement) was created, which can be used for testing and conducting PE for individuals with communication disorders. In the second phase, the method was tested on a group of five students with ASD (age 18-20 years, 2 women, 3 men) studying at a special secondary school. The qualitative investigation included the following methods of data collection: a three-phase test of understanding of physical education terminology, diagnosis by independent pedagogic staff in classes and participant evaluation by the researcher. Title: The Specifics of the Volunteer Motivation in Work with Severely Visually Impaired Persons Objective: The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to use a questionnaire to find out the motivation and reasons for volunteering among visually impaired clients in the Okamžik organization. The theoretical part will compare the relevant results of the research so far in the Czech environment. The practical part will try to understand and explain possible differences and unexplained problems, focusing on the dynamics of volunteer motivation and its specifics in working with people with severe visual impairment. Methods: The research method will be a combination of questionnaire and qualitative analysis of collected data. The created questionnaire will be distributed among volunteers from the Okamžik organization. Grounded theory appears to be a suitable method for qualitative analysis. The relationship of perceived quality of life, sport engagement and psychological resilience of para swimmers

Title: The relationship of perceived quality of life, sport engagement and psychological resilience of para swimmers. Objectives: The main aim of the thesis is to investigate whether selected traits in the area of psychology (resilience, hardiness, grit) are related to perceived quality of life and sport engagement of para swimmers. Furthermore, whether we can predict quality of life and sport engagement based on these characteristics. Methods: Thirty-two adult respondents (13 females, 18 males), aged 19 to 59 years (mean age 29.2±8.5 years), participated in a survey. Data were collected using a questionnaire focusing on general information, life satisfaction, grit, resilience, sport commitment and hardiness (Martin et al., 2015), which was translated into czech by Jiskrova (2019). Results: Life satisfaction (LS) is statistically significantly correlated with resilience (r=0.61) and hardiness (r=0.41). Sport engagement (SE) was only statistically significantly correlated with hardiness (r=0.46). Life satisfaction, based on regression analysis, can be best predicted from resilience, which explains LS from about 37 %. Title: Functional independence measures in wheelchair rugby players Objectives: The aim of the thesis is to investigate the relationship between the sports activity of wheelchair rugby players and the degree of functional independence in daily activities in people with spinal cord injury. Methods: 20 male wheelchair rugby players aged between 20 and 51 years, in the range of spinal cord injury level C5 - Th8, were selected for the empirical mixed research using the purposive sampling method. The methods of data collection include an interview and a self-constructed questionnaire that elicits anamnestic data, subjective assessment of self- sufficiency and player's experiences with health complications associated with wheelchair rugby. Furthermore, an evaluation of the SCIM III functional degree of independence was carried out, the results of which were compared with the results of two previous studies (EMSCI and assumptions of Occupational Therapists from the Czech Republic). Results: The results confirm a positive relationship between the player's functional independence and the sports activity of wheelchair rugby players. Title of the thesis: Teacher's confidence in pedagogical self-efficacy in the integration of disabled pupils into psychical education in the Písek district The aim of the thesis: The main aim of the thesis was to examine teachers in the Písek district in their skills of integrating pupils with selected types of disabilities (mental, physical and visual) into school physical education. The secondary aim was comparing the self-efficacy in selected groups of teachers. Methods: As a part of the exploratory research was used the SE-PETE-D questionnaire with a modified 4th demographic part. The research was realized between January and April 2022 and was attended by 32 teachers of physical education from elementary schools in the Písek district. The respondents were 19 women and 13 men in the age range of 24-72 years. Descriptive statistics was used to process the results. Results: In the examined sample of teachers, research showed an average level of self-efficacy 3,39 on a scale from 1 to 5. The highest self-efficacy of teachers was demonstrated in the case of mental disability, this was smaller in the case of physical disability and the smallest confidence in their competence had teachers in integrating visually impaired pupils.
