Pavlů, Jiří ; Petruška, Jindřich (referee) ; Návrat, Tomáš (advisor)
Purpose of this work is to programme FEM algorithm for evaluation of simple plane task. Software solution ANSYS will be used for preparation of model and verification of our algorithm.
Analyse of thermal phenomena using thermal network
Pavlů, Jiří ; Sikora, Michal (referee) ; Vlach, Radek (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create an algorithm for solving steady-state thermal processes, algorithms for dealing with the transition state of thermal processes and the algorithm for solving ventilation networks. At the same time, the resulting application were expected to meet the conditions arising from the use as teaching aid.
Semifields and skew polynomial rings
Liška, Jakub ; Göloglu, Faruk (advisor) ; Pavlů, Jiří (referee)
In this thesis we give constructions of semifields, often characterized as not necessarily associative division algebras, from skew polynomial rings which are rings of polynomials over a field where multiplication is not commutative. These constructions are crucial for their use as maximum rank-distance codes, a family of self-correcting codes with a rank distance metric. We explore various connections between these structures through isotopy, isomorphy and equality. We also make the effort to prove as much of the fun- damental theory as possible since it is often regarded as obvious by the experts of the field. 1
AKS primality test and its variants
Ondo, Tomáš ; Žemlička, Jan (advisor) ; Pavlů, Jiří (referee)
In this thesis, the first polynomial deterministic primality test named AKS algori- thm is described. The thesis is focused on the time complexity of the algorithm. Several drawbacks which make this algorithm unsuitable for generating large prime numbers are described. Improvements derived from empirical data are summed up. These improve- ments are not proven, so they do not yield a deterministic test. The thesis continues with a comparison of the runtime of concrete implementations. The thesis also contains a variant of the AKS test, the Bernstein variant, which has a better time complexity. The execution of these algorithms is shown in examples. 1
Conservative therapy of ulnar neuropathy at the elbow
Pavlů, Jiří ; Mezian, Kamal (advisor) ; Sládková, Petra (referee)
Title: Conservative therapy of ulnar neuropathy at the elbow Aims: The main goal of this work is to create a comprehensive visual educational material, the so-called patient brochure for patients with a diagnosis of neuropathy of the ulnar nerve in the elbow. The second goal is to present the application of Priessnitz wrap in the diagnosis of ulnar nerve neuropathy in two case reports. A partial goal of this work is to summarize the issues concerning the knowledge of neuropathy of the ulnar nerve in the elbow landscape and its conservative treatment in the form of theoretical research. Methods of work: The method of content analysis of literary sources was used to create the work, on the basis of which a theoretical search was created. Following this, patient brochures were created. The practical part of the work involved two patients with a diagnosis of neuropathy of the ulnar nerve in the elbow. Both patients were treated with an educational interview between the parties to the regime measures and instruction in the application of Priessnitz compress. In addition to the targeted specific examination, the patients were given a QuickDASH questionnaire to complete, and therefore the questioning method was used. Furthermore, the method of comparison was used in comparing the results of input and...
Investigation of properties of Faraday cup with split collector
Havelka, Matěj ; Pavlů, Jiří (advisor) ; Vaverka, Jakub (referee)
Solar wind is plasma propagating from the Sun through interplanetary space. For determination of the parameters of this cosmic plasma, spacecraft often carry so-called Faraday cups, which can be used to determine the energy distribution function of ions in the plasma. Apart from energy distribution, it is necessary to study other parameters, such as composition and direction of travel of the particles. Direction measurements in the solar wind can be performed using a Faraday cup with a split collector plate into two or more sections. This technique is employed, for example, in the BMSW-LG instrument, which is designed for in situ measurements in the vicinity of the Moon's surface. The gap in between sections of the collector plate can introduce unwanted effects into the measurement, therefore new setup has been developed for the purpose of testing the BMSW-LG instrument and to study effects of the gap on plasma diagnostics. In this setup, an ion beam is used to scan the surface of the collector plate while measuring ion currents from all electrodes. The BMSW-LG instrument was tested thoroughly and then gradually heated up to 70 ◦ C to determine the stability of electrometric amplifiers. Effects of the gap were studied at different energies and angles. From the measurements, it can be concluded that the...
Kryptografická primitiva v liché charakteristice
Richterová, Berenika ; Göloglu, Faruk (advisor) ; Pavlů, Jiří (referee)
In the thesis, we focus on the cryptanalytic techniques that can be used against the cryptographic primitives operating over odd characteristic finite fields. We introduce the GMiMC permutation, which belongs to such primitives. We describe an integral attack and generalize a certain type of this attack to finite fields of any characteristic. We also explain the notion of an impossible differential attack and then apply both the integral and the impossible differential attack to the GMiMC permutation. 1
Ionization methods of vacuum measurement
Pračko, Milan ; Gronych, Tomáš (advisor) ; Pavlů, Jiří (referee)
The Diploma thesis concerns with problems of measurement pressure of vacuum systems, with pressure lower than 10-6 Pa. Although most of the basic constructions of vacuum gauge for these levels of pressure was developed in the beginning of 1960s, the new constructions and modifications are still appearing. Ionization vacuum gauge 3BG (Bent Belt-Beam gauge) is one of them. Predisposition of 3BG for measurement of pressure lower than 10-6 Pa is verified by means of experimental verifying of characteristics of the brand new construction of vacuum gauge 3BG and by theoretical description of behaviour of the electrons in geometry 3BG, using computer simulation. Experimental specification of the most favourable parameters for operation of vacuum gauge 3BG is used for reaching maximal sensitivity with the cathode load at the lowest possible level. Automation of dust charging experiment
Pechal, Radim ; Pavlů, Jiří (advisor) ; Žilavý, Peter (referee)
Title: Automation of dust charging experiment Author: Radim Pechal Department: Department of Surface and Plasma Science Supervisor: RNDr. Jiří Pavlů, PhD. Supervisor's e-mail address: Jiri.Pavlu@mff.cuni.cz Abstract: Since the dust grains are expected to cause problems during operation of tokamaks, there is a developing research of these devices which raises interest in dust grain charging processes research as well. Clarification of the dust grain charging processes may help with their solutions. This thesis deals with an issue of designing a part of a new experimental setup for dust grain research built at the Department of Surface and Plasma Science, Charles University in Prague. The base of this experimental setup is original linear quadrupole trap enabling dust grain trapping and its charging by electron, ion, and UV beams. In the thesis, a method of stabilization of one part of grain oscillation frequency detection is described. The thesis is focused on a development of a control unit and high voltage power supply for an image intensifier. To measure charging processes tungsten dust grains were used. This material will be probably used in construction of ITER tomakak. Electron equilibrium characteristics and other parameters were measured. Two samples of tungsten dust grains were used for...
