Analysis of water prices in relation to the financing of rehabilitation of infrastructure
Pavel, Marek ; Netušil, Lukáš (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
This thesis deals with the water price in relation to the costs of rebuilding of water infrastructure in use. Although the price of water has been very much discussed in the last few years, but mainly in terms of profits. This paper describes the method by which, when using data from property and operating records, it is calculated how much of the gained money should be deferred each year. This amount is for both the whole company and each municipality. As part of this work, I evaluated six water companies and compared the results to each other.
Designing of the Objects for the Groundwater Captation
Pavel, Marek ; Krejsová, Věra (referee) ; Kučera, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with stuff connected with designing groundwater extracting. First part is focusing on history and possible ways how to do it including other problems which goes with this topic. This part talks about laws and codes that is need to know. Second part continues with more practical side. It means drilling, what technology to choose and some example how to design a well.
Autonomous driving concept for Formula Student
Pavel, Matěj ; Štětina, Josef (referee) ; Porteš, Petr (advisor)
The goal of the paper is to propose a new iteration of TU Brno Racing’s autonomous driving system. It first concerns itself with a general overview of autonomous vehicles and the rules of the Formula Student competition and an analysis of the current solution, with discussion of its flaws. Next, a solution is proposed to one of those flaws – vehicle localization utilizing an Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) for sensor fusion. Necessary filtering and transformations of the data are discussed. Finally, the paper contains a choice of sensors potentially useful for further increases in accuracy of the localization system.
Zhodnocení efektivity a návrh konstrukčního řešení pasivních domů z hlediska energetické a finanční náročnosti při použití materiálů dostupných na evropském trhu
PAVEL, Michal
The topic of the diploma thesis is an evaluation of the efficiency and a proposal of the construction solution of passive houses in term of energy and financial demands using materials available on the European market. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first one consists of a literature research, which provides the necessary information not only about the passive standard as such, but also about the principles associated with its construction. The second contains a practical part, where a database of the most important details for each material variant is created, together with their workflows, individual summaries and price comparisons. The result of this work is an evaluation of the efficiency of self-help construction of passive houses.
Srovnání pořizovacích a provozních nákladů tradičních, nízkoenergetických, pasivních a nulových domů
PAVEL, Michal
The topic of the bachelor thesis is a comparison of acquisition and operating costs of traditional, low-energy, passive and zero-energy houses. The thesis is divided into two main parts. The first one consists of a literature research, which provides the necessary information regarding definitions, history, characteristics and advantages and disadvantages of individual building standards. In addition, this section provides general information on design, material and technological possibilities during construction. The practical part is based on the acquisition and operating costs of individual building standards for the two most frequently represented types of detached houses. The result of this paper is the calculation of a simple return on investment and the decision tree, which should facilitate decision-making on the choice of the standard.
Short-term rainfall for hydrological modeling and design of small water management structures in the landscape
Kavka, P. ; Müller, Miloslav ; Strouhal, L. ; Kašpar, Marek ; Bližňák, Vojtěch ; Landa, M. ; Weyskrabová, L. ; Pavel, M. ; Dostál, T.
The aim of this methodology is to reduce the current knowledge deficit in the field of short-term rainfall variability and its application in hydrological modeling and design of small water structures and conservation measures within the catchment. The methodology defines six generalized short-term rainfall scenarios with specific temporal distribution of rainfall intensity. Next their variability related to their occurence frequency and spatial distribution accross Czech Republic is presented. These scenarios were derived from the 10-years time series of radar rainfall measurements adjusted with the daily totals from ground gauging network.
