Design of a knowledge base for choosing a profession for people with Asperger's syndrome

The topic of this work is "A knowledge-base creation for choosing a profession for people with Asperger's syndrome". In the theoretical part of the work I focuse on description of knowledge-based system NEST, its characteristics and architecture. There are also described uniforms signs and manifestations of Asperger's syndrome. The practical part of this bachelor thesis described a knowledge-base creation in the NEST, gradual creation of attributes and their rules, which are then used in selected model professions. The individual professions were chosen on the basis of the general characteristics of persons diagnosed with Asperger's syndrome. I draw from professional literature and from my own experience. Structure and specification of the invisible web in relation to economic applications

Tématem diplomové práce je legislativa týkající se svobodného přístupu k informacím, tedy Zákona 106/1999 Sb. a poskytování povinných informací na webech veřejné správy. Diplomová práce popisuje jednotlivé právní normy, které na Zákon 106/1999 Sb. navazují, včetně jejich legislativního vývoje a novelizací. Sleduje praktické plnění požadavků Vyhlášky č. 422/2006 Sb. (dříve Standardu ISVS 012/01.02) na konkrétních příkladech. Jako důležitá součást problematiky zveřejňování informací na webech je zmíněn též koncept přístupnosti webových stránek. Součástí práce je průzkum situace na webech měst a obcí ve vybraném okresu, ústředních orgánů a krajských úřadů a její kritické zhodnocení.

The rigorous thesis deals with competitive reporting in the current business enviroment and the area of public administration. It focuses on the importance of protecting information and information systems in organizations from fraud and loss of important information. Analyzes the causes and the reasons for the abuse of information. Proposes a methodology for ensuring protection of classified information in a competitive atmosphere organization. The work is based on the protection of information in legal standards. The aim of the work is to establish preventive measures against fraud and loss of important information and determine the causes and circumstances of crime in the are of work with the information. Práce je věnována příčinám a důsledkům softwarového pirátství. Podává přehled definic a typologie softwarového pirátství, přehled historie vývoje sledované problematiky i důvodů a podmínek vzniku softwarového pirátství. Rozebírá vztah softwarového pirátství k informačnímu průmyslu. Prezentuje vybrané mezinárodní a státními organizace, které se touto problematikou zabývají. Analyzuje otázky související s legalitou softwarových prostředků. Popisuje jednotlivé druhy metod a postupů softwarového pirátství. Ve svém závěru hodnotí druhy nákladů na ochranu dat a vliv těchto nákladů na výsledné ceny softwaru.

Věra Pilecká The interaction of information science and cognitive sciences with emphasis on information retrieval (dissertation thesis) (Vzájemné ovlivňování informační vědy a kognitivních věd s důrazem na vyhledávání informací) Abstract Focus of this thesis is on the description of the interaction of information science and cognitive sciences with emphasis on information retrieval which is influenced by some of the cognitive aspects. The introductory chapter deals with the definition of information science and paradigms inspired by a cognitive approach (cognitive and socio-cognitive paradigm). Then a cognitive science is defined including its basis, methods and application. In the third chapter, a comparison between information and cognitive science is included, and their interaction and common interests are described. Fourth chapter focuses on information retrieval and influencing factors, including search methods, user information behaviour, and user cognitive characteristics and mental models. The final chapter presents two surveys focused on the use of intuitive and analytical information retrieval styles during searching on Google, and the perception of the differences between traditional and online teaching of the effective reading techniques. The Future of Film Archiving

(in English): The aim of the thesis is to show different possibilities and requirements concerning the preservation of film copies before and after digitalization and compare the chosen film archives. In the thesis was used own experience with the digitalization of cinemas, and there are also shown possible problems, which can occur, while storing the digital audiovisual data on a long term basis. The Digital Cinema Package (used in the most film-storing institutions) is described in detail in the thesis. The thesis reflects the current state in Czech Republic and other countries with the help of case study and on the basis of the film archives evolution.
Teaching of online searching strategies as an essential support of information literacy at CTU

The aim of this master thesis is to investigate the impact of teaching analytical search strategies on information seeking behaviour in the academic environment of the CTU university and to assess this importance in the teaching of students from the position of a teaching librarian. The thesis is processed from theoretical and practical perspectives. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to a review of terminology and the current state of knowledge in the field of information seeking behaviour. In more detail, this section describes the various elements related to the issues of search strategies, information resources and the role of academic libraries in information education in order to understand their role in the process of information retrieval. The practical part presents the interpreted results based on the conducted questionnaire survey, which are an important basis for evaluating the effectiveness of teaching and assessing its impact on the information behaviour of students in the academic environment of CTU. Information Society and E-Health

The aim of the thesis has been to describe and analyse the issue of eHealth in the context of the information society and to define its role in the Czech Republic and the world. Besides the presentation of the basic characteristics of the concept of eHealth, its position within the WHO and the EU, the work has focused mainly on the situation in the field of eHealth in the Czech Republic in relation to the information society at several levels. This includes specialist companies, national and regional projects, specialist conferences, universities and the role of medical libraries in this area. A SWOT analysis with the support of researches on published documents dealing with this topic and the topic of professional conferences is used to analyse the overall condition. The final summary of this survey provides a brief overview of current trends in the concept of eHealth and the outline of future development in the Czech Republic.
Analysis and comparison of user interface of the websites of special libraries at the Faculty of Arts of Charles University in Prague and proposals for its innovation

The diploma thesis focuses on the analysis and assessment of the existing user interface of the departmental libraries of Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague. The theoretical part generally characterizes the discipline of Human Computer Interaction. Furthermore, it characterizes concepts such as user interface, web usability and web accessibility and information architecture. Besides, it introduces the organisation, functions and services of the Central Library of the Faculty of Arts, including departmental libraries. The practical part explores and assesses current condition of the websites of the departmental libraries. The aim of this research is to determine users' satisfaction based on their experience with these library websites. Moreover, the research monitors the users' idea of an ideal website. A further concern is the usability, accessibility, content, design and information architecture of the websites researched. In accordance with the results of the research, a schema of a new human interface for the departmental libraries is designed.
